Tinubu Sends Condolence Message to Nasir El-Rufai Over Mother’s Death in Cairo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt sympathy to former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma.

Hajiya Umma reportedly died on Friday in Cairo after battling an illness, bringing sorrow to her family and loved ones.

In a statement issued late Friday night, and signed by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President paid tribute to the meaningful and impactful life she lived.

The statement partly read:

“Nasir, kindly accept my sincere condolences over the loss of your cherished mother, Hajiya Umma, which occurred today in Cairo.

“As someone who has experienced the passing of an elderly mother, I deeply empathize with your grief and understand how profound this moment is for you.

“The pain of losing a mother is incomparable. While words may not fully ease the sorrow you feel, I pray that the memories of her love, wisdom, and guidance will bring you comfort in the coming days.

“I also hope you draw strength from the admirable life she lived and the enduring values she imparted to the entire family.”
