Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has highlighted two promising young talents that he believes could significantly strengthen Manchester United under Michael Carrick. Valencia insists that signing these players would inject both energy and skill into the squad.
Valencia, speaking to Hajper, emphasized the potential partnership between Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo and the current Manchester United midfielder Mainoo.
“I would love to see Moises Caicedo playing alongside Mainoo at Manchester United. They could form a sensational partnership. Mainoo could enjoy more freedom on the pitch while Caicedo anchors the midfield centrally. It would be impressive,” Valencia explained.
Valencia praised Caicedo for his exceptional physicality and technical ability. He noted that the young midfielder maintains intensity throughout the full 90 minutes, combining defensive diligence with attacking prowess.
“Moises possesses remarkable stamina. He never seems to tire, is physically robust, technically sound, and can shoot with precision. He defends strongly and contributes effectively in attack,” Valencia added.
In addition to Caicedo, Valencia also recommends Willian Pacho of Paris Saint-Germain as a key signing. Pacho, a left-sided centre-back, brings height, speed, aerial dominance, and strategic vision. Valencia believes that acquiring these two players would not only strengthen United’s current lineup but also secure long-term talent for the club.
“I would sign these two players immediately. They are young, rapidly improving, and could be part of Manchester United for the next decade,” Valencia concluded.
