Turkish giants Galatasaray have confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen sustained a fracture in his right arm during Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League encounter against Liverpool, according to LMSINT MEDIA reports.

The club released an official medical update explaining that the Nigerian forward picked up the injury in the early stages of the match played at Anfield. Following initial examinations, the medical team detected a break in his right arm, and further evaluation will determine if surgical treatment will be required.

Osimhen was unable to continue beyond the first half of the game due to the discomfort caused by the injury. Galatasaray eventually suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat in the European fixture, making the night even more difficult for the Turkish champions.

The statement from the club also confirmed that another player, Noah, received a deep cut on his right thumb during the same match, which required immediate medical attention. Both incidents added to the challenges faced by the team during the high-intensity clash.

Head coach Okan Buruk will now shift focus toward domestic competitions as Galatasaray aim to successfully defend their Turkish Super Lig title while also continuing their campaign in the Turkish Cup. The club is expected to provide additional updates on Osimhen’s condition after specialists complete further medical assessments.

Despite the setback in Europe, the team remains determined to maintain strong performances in local tournaments as the season progresses. Supporters are now waiting for confirmation on whether the striker will undergo surgery and how long he could be unavailable for selection.
