Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… (Colossians 3:16). There’s something so important and beautiful that Jesus said in John 15:7, and it explains why you need to have the Word of God abundantly in you. He said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” You have to abide in Him and have His Word abide in you. That’s what fortifies you against the troubles and adversities of life. It brings to mind what He said in John 8:31, “…If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.” It’s about abiding or continuing in His Word, doing the Word, never giving up. But if you don’t know His words, how can they abide in you? You’ve got to hear them, learn them, study them, and keep them in you. And here’s the beautiful result of having the Word abide in you: “…ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7). The word translated “ask” here is ‘aiteo,’ which means “to call or require.” So, itmeans to call up or call forth what you desire. The phrase “be done” comes from the Greek word “ginomai,” meaning to come into being. The Lord Jesus is saying, “If my words abide in you, you shall call whatever you think about, whatever you require, and it will come into being.” That’s powerful! It makes spiritual sense because if God’s Word is abundant in you, why should you beg for anything? God’s Word is the creator of all things. The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1-3). If all things were made by the Word, and that Word is in you, why not release the Word instead of begging? Call forth what you desire, and it will manifest; it will leap into reality! So, heap up the Word in you and it’ll cause you to triumph in life. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the power of your Word at work in me. Your Word is in my heart and on my lips. Even now, I call forth my desires; your Word on my lips creates realities. All things work together for my good, and I live a victorious, fulfilled life because I walk in the light of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I am making progress, rising like an edifice higher and higher irrespective of daunting challenges, persecutions, hardships, and troubles around the nations of the world. When the challenges of life cast down men, I am always lifted above them. I am in a place of never-ending and superabundant wealth. I am being remembered right now in several places for good. I have received an overflowing of God’s grace. I enjoy promotions, unending success, and an extraordinary life of excellence, victory, and dominion. I am loaded with good things. I am exalted with Christ in glory; I know who I am. I am chosen, royal, and peculiar! I have the supernatural grace to excel in all endeavors today. I will never walk in confusion because the Spirit of God is guiding me in the path of life and leading me in the way of supernatural success and permanent prosperity. I make my way prosperous and consistently experience good success as I meditate on the Word and speak it forth with boldness. I’m guided and propelled by God’s divine wisdom to do His will and fulfill my destiny in Christ. I function today and always from the standpoint of advantage, victory, dominion, and power because I am born of God and conscious that whatever is born of God overcomes this world. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it (John 14:13-14). When you study the words of the Master in the scripture above, you’ll realize that He was referring to using His Name with authority; doing great works in His Name. He was emphasizing the power and authority vested in His Name, making it clear to us that this authority is effective in bringing about any desiredresult. Hallelujah! Let’s examine those words a bit more: first, He said, “If you shall ask anything in my name….” To ask here means to demand something. The Lord Jesus was referring to situations where you demand that something should happen in His Name. At such moments, He says, “I will cause it to happen.” What an assurance! This is a demonstration of the authority we have in His Name. An example of this can be found in Acts chapter 3, where Peter and John encountered a man who had been crippled from birth. Peter simply used the Name of Jesus with the understanding of the authority that it wields. He understood what Jesus meant when He said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do…” (John 14:13). As a result, Peter demanded healing for the man who was crippled from birth. The Bible says, “And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:7-8). This is precisely what Jesus was talking about—using His Name with authority. Recall what He said in John 10:25, “…I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.” He commissioned us to do the same in His Name. We have the authority to speak to anything in His Name and have a miracle. You can speak to broken bones, blind eyes, and every challenging situation in His Name, and there’ll be a change. Glory to God! When you speak in His Name, He’s present with divine power to ensure that your words come to pass. He guarantees the results. This is the authority we’ve been given; it’s power beyond this world; power to change circumstances in His Name. Hallelujah! I am full of power and I do wonders. I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. I have received of His ability, wisdom, knowledge, glory, strength, and wealth. I am in a place of never-ending, superabundant wealth. Angels are directing businesses to me right now. I am being remembered right now in several places for good. My name comes up even now for blessings, for promotion, for bonuses, for awards, for rewards, for contracts. The kind of blessings coming to me now, cannot be humanly explained. Today, I am living the life of victory and dominion that Jesus purchased for me through His vicarious death, burial, and resurrection. God’s Word is truth and everything He said about my health and life is reality. The Word of God produces health, strength, vitality, and all the blessings and provisions that it talks about. I’m living in health 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; no weapon formed or fashioned against me shall prosper. My body is invigorated by the Spirit of God who lives in me. Nothing in me or about me dies or succumbs to the corrupting influences of this world. I rule over all the forces of darkness as I manifest the glory of God everywhere

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar (1 Kings 3:4). In 1 Kings 3, when Solomon became king of Israel, he was deeply troubled. He knew he was not the firstborn son, and his mother, Bathsheba, was not the first wife of his father, David. Solomon understood that his position as king would bring challenges because he had older brothers who despised both him and his mother. For example, when you study the accounts in 1 Kings 2, Solomon’s older brother Adonijah attempted to usurp the throne, and Solomon later ordered the execution of Adonijah, Joab, and Shimei to secure his reign. These show the violent and unstable environment in which Solomon ascended the throne. So, despite being king, he faced several threats to his life and position. He knew he had to do something beyond the ordinary to secure his reign and separate himself from the danger around him. What did Solomon do? He offered an extraordinary sacrifice to God. 1 Kings 3:4 says, “And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.”*_ Solomon was determined to put everything on the line in his worship to God. Today, we can learn from what Solomon did. It’s one of the ways to move forward and establish yourself where God has placed you. Moment of worship: *PRAYER* *Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity to give into your Kingdom. I refuse to be subject to the limitations of this world, for Christ is my riddance as well as my advantage. The angels of wealth attend to me. The angel of money responds to me. The grace of God is working in me mightily and evidently. I experience a quantum leap in grace. I walk in exponential grace, and I take advantage of the grace of God. Now, is my due season. Great power for prosperity and control are put in my hands. I’m exalted to a position of authority. Much more is committed to me spiritually, materially, and financially. In every aspect of my life, I am exalted and magnified. My greatness is increased because I am an heir of God; therefore, the silver is mine, and the gold is mine; the world belongs to me. I’ve been graced to reign in this life through righteousness. I make decrees, and they’re established because I function in, and with, the authority of Christ. I refuse sickness, failure, defeat, and death. I reject anything that’s not of God, and I endorse only that which is consistent with His perfect will for me. There is a lifting up and a perfection in all that concerns my finances.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence (John 18:36). One of the charges for which Jesus was condemned was that He declared Himself to be a king. When Pilate asked Him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, _*”…My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence”*_ (John 18:36). Pilate, intrigued by Jesus’ response, sought further clarification regarding His kingship. He asked again, “Are you a king then?” Jesus elaborated, saying, _*“…To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice”*_ (John 18:37). The Lord Jesus stating that He was a king meant He was the ruler of a kingdom. But where was His kingdom? He clarified that His kingdom was not of this world, meaning it was foreign to this earthly realm. The rulers of the time couldn’t understand His kingdom because they couldn’t see it; they were perplexed by it. The next important point is that Jesus had a mission to extend the influence and power of His heavenly kingdom to this world. He came to bring the blessings, the goodness, and the power of His kingdom to a world full of pain, darkness and struggles. This world, filled with destruction and suffering, needed change, and Jesus came with His kingdom to effect that change. Hallelujah! Through salvation, He extended the goodness of His kingdom to humanity. Now that you’re born again, you’ve become a citizen of Christ’s glorious Kingdom: _*“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”*_ (Colossians 1:12-13). Therefore, walk in the consciousness of the full blessings of the Kingdom, and spread the influence of His reign everywhere. You represent the Kingdom; you carry it everywhere you go, for it is within you: Luke 17:21, _*“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”*_ You’re the extension of His Kingdom and its influence, for the Bible says, _*“…he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand”*_ (Isaiah 53:10). *PRAYER* *Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for your heavenly Kingdom and its blessings, impact and influence in the earth and in the hearts of men. I live the life of the Kingdom, and I walk in the fullness of its blessings, spreading the influence of your reign everywhere. There’s beauty, favour, grace, and open doors for me everywhere. Once my name is mentioned, it is for good because all things work together for me in an extraordinary way. Situations that were orchestrated to bring me down, are now ordained for my lifting. I experience unusual favour. Men are going out of their way to favour me. Favour is activated for me. Everything that concerns me prospers exceedingly. The Word of God has mastery over my spirit, soul, and body, and I enjoy divine health, success, and the good life. I belong in God’s superior class of divine beings; therefore, I look beyond the natural realm of existence to my heavenly rights, blessings, and provisions in Christ Jesus! The glory of God is beaming out of me with intensity. The Lord is my beauty. He is my sweet attractiveness. I am divinely enabled to see, think, say and, to do things that ordinary men cannot do. I am sagacious. I have an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension. I am a wonder and surprise to many. I’ve found life, peace, righteousness and everlasting joy. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (1 John 5:11).. When you receive eternal life—which is the unfading, unending and indestructible life of God—you receive the very nature and righteousness of God. This life lifts you into God’s class of being. Let me explain this to you because it’s so important. We often talk about who God is. God is not just a supernatural being who is so powerful that no one can resist Him, allowing Him to do whatever He pleases. While that’s true to some extent, there’s more to God than just His power. The Bible tells us that God is holy, God is righteous, God is just, and God is love. He created everything, and nothing exists that He didn’t create. Everything belongs to Him. We are from God; He made us. He had a plan for us, and in His plan, He determined to give us eternal life so that we would be more than mere creatures. He gave us eternal life to lift us into His class of being. That’s what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “…If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature….” If you’re born again, it means you’re in Christ, and if you’re in Christ, you’re a new creature, a new kind of man, a new type of being, in God’s class of being. This doesn’t mean that you are equal with God but that you share in His nature. He remains your God and Heavenly Father, and He is greater than you, yet you can now relate with Him at a personal level, in a father-and child relationship. Just as a child relates to the parent as a human being, not as a dog or cat that belongs to a different class, we have been lifted into God’s class to relate with Him as associates of the God-kind. That’s what receiving eternal life means, and it’s the life that God has given to us through Jesus Christ. This is the good news we preach. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why we proclaim it to the world that eternal life has come and that now, anyone who believes has been lifted into God’s class of being. Moment of Meditation: *PRAYER* *Dear Father, thank you for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. I rejoice because I have been lifted into your class of being, with your divine nature and righteousness. I’m a new creation, born again with your unfading, unending and indestructible life in me. Poverty isn’t a part of my life, for I’m an heir of God; therefore, the silver is mine, and the gold is mine; the world belongs to me. The ability of God is at work in me today, and I’m conscious of it! I don’t function in my own ability or strength, for God’s inherent ability is in me. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I will never be weak. I recognize and affirm who the Lord has made me to be. I am one spirit with the Lord; therefore, Satan and his minions have no right to run rampage or perpetrate evil in my life or my environment. I refuse every symptom of sickness or disease from my body. I rejoice because the Lord Jesus has overcome this world for me. Divine life is working in my body! From the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, my entire being is energized by the Holy Spirit who lives in me and invigorates me through and through. Everything connected to me is infused with eternal life and divine energy. I have the Spirit of life living in me, guiding me, energizing me, and strengthening me. That joy produces laughter deep in my spirit, causing my health to bloom and flourish. Nothing can weigh me down. I know no depression or oppression because I am buoyed by joy unspeakable overflowing in my heart. I walk in health, divine wisdom, and in the joy and peace of the Spirit today. I walk in the light of my inheritance in Christ, in power and grace, living in divine health and supernatural prosperity. I am victorious. I am a success. I am a blessing to my world. My life is excellent and full of glory. I walk in, and manifest, the dominion of Christ today. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind… (Romans 12:2). When your reasoning is framed by God’s Word, you can’t think limitations, defeat, weakness or failure. God’s Word gives you a champion’s mentality; you just know that come what may, you’re always in victory. It brings to mind the story of Joshua and Caleb, two of the twelve spies sent by Moses to scout the land of Canaan, the land God had promised to the Israelites. While ten spies doubted and came back with a negative report, Caleb and Joshua had a different report. Caleb’s faith and courage stood out, and God promised that he and Joshua would live to enter the land and that Caleb would inherit the land he had explored. Years later, at 85, Caleb reminded Joshua of God’s promise and boldly declared, _*”Now therefore give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day…*_ (Joshua 14:12 NKJV). Caleb could have said, “You know, I’m 85 now, old and stricken with years. There’re lots of giants in Hebron. Can we get some other land? Is there an alternative?” But no; despite his age, Caleb was determined to claim Hebron. What a mindset! Some people, even in their 50s, start to believe they are too old to accomplish certain things, simply because in today’s world that has become a popular belief. They’ve become more acquainted with the ways of the world than with the Word of God. Caleb didn’t care how great or fenced the cities were or how formidable the Anakim giants seemed. He knew that with God, victory was inevitable. All that was important to Caleb was the Lord with Him! This same mentality should drive you today. You need to have the right mindset. God is calling you to think differently—to think as He would have you think. This is very important because the Lord has sent us in our day. He’s in us and always with us. You can do something about your family, business, work, finances, city, state and nation, knowing that victory is already yours in Christ Jesus. You’re not at the mercy of anyone. None of the powers of this world can dominate you. You’re the seed of Abraham; you’re an heir of God and joint-heir with Christ. You’re a God-man, a partaker of the divine nature. Have the right mentality about yourself; frame and construct it through the Word. Praise God! Moment of Meditation: *CONFESSION* *My mind is constantly renewed by God’s Word to think excellence, victory, glory and dominion. I’m victorious through the Word, confident that in Christ, I’m always and forever triumphant. Every day God loads me with great benefits. In His favor my horn is exalted. I live above infirmities and the harsh elements of this world because the One who lives in me is greater than he that’s in this world. I’m crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God! Success, prosperity, divine health, promotions, and the glorious life are my inheritance in Christ Jesus! Every day, I rule and reign over the circumstances of life and I exercise dominion over Satan and the power of darkness. Christ is my advantage for the glorious life. Eternal life is at work in me. I am a carrier of divinity. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in me bodily. I live life in its fullness and I dispense virtues of healing and health to my world every day. My kidneys, lungs, heart, all tissues and every organ in my body function properly. Good health, success, and prosperity are the hallmarks of my daily life. I enjoy life to the full always. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples (Luke 11:1) The Lord Jesus was so different from the religious leaders of His day and from what the people around Him were used to. Everything about Him was transcendent and awe-inspiring, including His prayer life and prayer language. His disciples, having watched Him for a while, came to Him one day and said, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Now, why did they ask this? Remember, they were Jews, and the Jews knew how to pray. The Jews prayed all the time; their entire life was centred around the temple and revolved around prayer. So, for a Jew to say “Teach us to pray,” means something significant. They already prayed religiously because their religion demanded it. They prayed several times a day as a routine. But they noticed something different about Jesus; they saw that His prayers were effective. They saw results. His words had power. Something happened when Jesus spoke. When Jesus prayed, it wasn’t religious; it seemed like He was actually talking to someone who was listening. They never saw the religious leaders pray like that. And even more astonishing, it seemed as though whoever Jesus was talking to responded, as His life reflected answers to those prayers. This was what amazed the disciples, so they said, “Master, teach us to pray.” Jesus taught them to pray, and they learned to pray like Him. As you study the Gospels, the Book of Acts, and the Epistles, you discover that they indeed learned to pray like Jesus. Through their writings, they taught us to pray as Jesus taught them, and now, we also pray like Jesus and have results like Jesus. When you get to know prayer like this, you’ll love to pray. You’ll realize that you can actually effect changes and make things happen through prayer. Prayer becomes a powerful tool to bring God’s will to pass in your life, in the lives of others and in the nations of the world. My greatness is increased because I am an heir of God; therefore, the silver is mine, and the gold is mine; the world belongs to me. The land is green for me! The wilderness is now a fertile field, and the fertile field has become a forest. New doors of opportunities are opened unto me by the Spirit of God. I’ve been granted spiritual insight and set on the right course for life. The keys of the kingdom have been given unto me; therefore, I am celebrating my riches generously. My progress is unstoppable because I cannot be limited by sickness, disease, or the negativities of the ordinary life. As Jesus is above all things, so am I. The Holy Spirit has beautified my life. He brings colour into my life. I live a wonderful, colourful, beautiful, and productive life. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16 AMPC). Some people see prayer as the recourse of the weak-minded or of those who are helpless and hopeless. But that’s an outright misconception. When you understand prayer and the reason we pray, you’d realize that we never pray from a position of weakness or disadvantage; we don’t merely pray in hope. We pray to effect changes. Prayer in the Kingdom of God goes far beyond hope, even though hope is a great virtue. In fact, the very act of prayer arises from hope. But when you begin to pray, you’re no longer simply demonstrating hope—you’re now effecting changes. God never wants us to be in a hopeless situation where we feel hamstrung and hedged in. We can do anything and change anything in His Name in the place of prayer. When you study the Scriptures, you’d discover that each time God’s people prayed, miracles were wrought, adversities were turned into testimonies. It’s the same in our day; our prayers are effective. So, it makes no difference what the case is; pray! The Bible says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much; it makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working. Pray according to the Word of God and exercise your authority and dominion in Christ. Use the Name of Jesus and change that seemingly hopeless situation. Whether you’re praying for yourself, a loved one, your nation, the salvation of souls, or the furtherance of the Gospel; pray with confidence, knowing that you have a right to be heard by God. He told us to pray because He planned to answer. Hallelujah! Never see prayer as a last resort or something we do because we’re out of wits or options; no! When we pray, we’re taking action. It’s our means of influencing situations and releasing the power of God to effect changes and establish God’s will in the earth. Hallelujah! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses (Matthew 8:16-17) Matthew, in his own writing, lets us know in the verses above that Jesus came to fulfil what Isaiah had prophesied: the removal of our sins. He gave His life as a ransom for many: And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:27-28). A ransom is the consideration or what is demanded to be paid for the release of a captive. The whole world was captive to the devil, captive to sin and therefore condemned to die because of sin. We were legal captives of the devil until Jesus paid for us to be free from sins, free from Satan’s dominion, and from spiritual death. We were in the bondage of spiritual death and separated from God, having no hope and without God in the world. But all that changed when Jesus gave His life for your life. He was the price paid for your freedom. The Bible says, _*”For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God… (1 Peter 3:18). That is substitution. He gave Himself that you may be free to serve God and live for Him. He was sinless, holy and righteous; and now you’re like Him; holy, righteous and sin-free. Colossians 1:21-22 says, And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.”*_ This is amazing. Now you see why we so rejoice as Christians and are forever full of praise and joy. It’s because of this message of substitution; Jesus was our ransom! He took your place of sin so that you may take His place of righteousness. He took your place of poverty, suffering and shame so that you may have His life of glory, power, dominion and abundance. Blessed be God! So now what? Take your place in Christ! Live the life He’s given you—the life of glory and excellence. Hallelujah! Moment of meditation: *PRAYER* *Dear Father, I thank you for sending the Lord Jesus to take our place of sin, suffering, shame and death, and give us His life of righteousness and glory, prosperity and victory. Jesus bore my infirmities on His body, thus securing my health forever. I am complete in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power. How beautiful it is to know that when God looks at me, He sees me complete, lacking nothing necessary for life and godliness. I refuse to live with a lack mentality as though there are certain things I don’t have. I am totally inundated with the consciousness of my completeness. Just as there’s nothing of God lacking in Jesus, there’s nothing of the Master lacking in me. The Master never had a sense of lack because He knew the world and everything in it belonged to Him. I, therefore, walk in the mentality of abundance because I lack nothing. I have all things that pertain to life and godliness. Divine health flourishes in me. Goodness and mercy follow me everywhere I go, and I have the supernatural grace to excel in all endeavors today. Christ purchased a life of glory for me through His death and resurrection, and sickness has no place in that life. Therefore, no disease can enter my body or environment. I have what God says I have; I am who He says I am, and I can do all He says I can do. I am strong in faith, giving glory to God at all times! No sickness, disease, or infirmity can thrive in my body because I am joined to the Lord, and I am one Spirit with Him. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21). The word substitution, even though not expressly used in the Scriptures, defines and properly encapsulates what Jesus came to do. It means to replace something or someone with another, to take the place of another or to put in another one’s place. Jesus being our substitute means He came to take our place so that we might take His place. How wonderful that is! No religious leader ever did that; no one ever did that for anybody, but Jesus did. Even the Prophets prophesied about this in the Old Testament; they prophesied about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). The Prophet Isaiah, for example, tells us in Isaiah 53:4-6, Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. AIl we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. The Prophet Isaiah saw this in a vision back in his day; it hadn’t happened yet, but he spoke in the past tense because, in the mind of God, it already happened. The Bible calls Jesus the Lamb of God that was slain from the foundation of the world. Hallelujah! Notice the latter part of the 6th verse: All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. All our sins were laid on Jesus; that’s what the prophet saw—the vision of the Messiah bearing upon Himself the sins of all humanity. Read verse 8; it says, _*”He was taken from prison and from judgment…for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”*_ Eventually, when Jesus came, He faced Caiaphas’ judgment; He faced Pilate’s judgment. Afterwards, they killed Him. The Bible says it pleased the LORD to bruise Him, meaning it was God who gave Him up to die so His soul would be an offering for sin. His sacrifice, His substitutionary work, produced us! Think about that! No wonder we live in His Name today. We have been made His righteousness as stated in our opening text. We’ll learn more in our next study. Moment of meditation: *PRAYER* *Dear Father, I’m so grateful for the gift of righteousness and the new life I’ve received through Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice. I live today in the victory of His finished work, fully conscious of my identity in Him. I walk in the light of this truth, declaring your glory and goodness to the world, in Jesus’ Name. I have power over challenges; I am flourishing abundantly, displaying the righteousness and dominion of Christ everywhere. I live above, and far beyond, the distractions of this world because I dwell in Christ! My life is a testimony of God’s grace. I have been brought into a place of unimaginable wealth. Good health, success, and prosperity mark my everyday life. I enjoy life to the fullest always, for the glory of God the Father. I walk in supernatural strength, supernatural health, supernatural provision, and supernatural abilities every day. I am making significant progress as I fulfill the ministry and destiny God has set for me. In Christ, I have received the life of glory, honor, and excellence; a life where death, sickness, disease, or infirmity have no place. As the Father has life in Himself, He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. I have the Son; therefore, I have life! My body reflects God’s glory and beauty. My body is the temple of God, and I am its steward. I am like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding my fruit, enduring fruit, beautiful fruit, fruit that remains, and my leaves will never wither. I am equipped with abundance for every good work and charitable endeavor. Everything I need for life and godliness is within me. There’s order and grace in my life. I will never go down. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification (Romans 4:24-25). In our previous study, we learnt that we’re the proof of God’s fairness and impartiality. That’s what it means to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Now the latter part of our opening scripture reveals something extraordinary; it’s one of the most mind-blowing verses of the Bible. It says Jesus Christ was delivered for our offences and raised back to life, not for our forgiveness, but for our justification. This staggers the understanding of the human mind; it’s purely beyond belief. He was delivered to death for our offences and raised for our justification so that He (God) might be just and the justifier of the one who believes in Jesus Christ. How could an offender suddenly become justified? The Greek word for justification is “Dikaiosis” and it means acquittal, a legal or formal declaration of innocence. It means God looked at you and said, “You’re innocent; you’re not guilty of any sin.” He should have said you’ve been forgiven of all sins, but He said, “You’re innocent.” Now it should have been that you paid in Christ and are not a debtor anymore; you should have been described as a free man who has been forgiven. But that’s not what we have here. God is saying you have been acquitted; the records were checked and it wasn’t found where you sinned; therefore, you were formally declared innocent, not guilty. He’s saying you never sinned; how could that happen? That’s what makes it Gospel—Good News. Some people hear it and don’t understand it. How is it that I never sinned? It’s the result of Christ’s redemptive work. Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” We’ve been declared righteous by faith; do you know why? Because you’re born again, you’re a new creature. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The new creation never sinned because he’s a brand-new species that never existed before. Blessed be God! I am not bound by the principles of the world because I hail from Zion – the heavenly kingdom – where sickness, disease, death, or any form of darkness do not exist. I am an effective and efficient ambassador for God’s Kingdom and I dispense divine health realities to all I encounter. I dwell in the safety and peaceful habitation of the Almighty; a place of glory, dominion, and everlasting joy, where I reign and rule with Christ over circumstances. All grace—every favour and earthly blessing—come to me in abundance so that I may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need, be self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, furnished in abundance, for every good work. I am loaded with all power, glory, might, and grace! I will never walk in confusion because the Spirit of God is guiding me in the path of life and leading me in the way of supernatural success and permanent prosperity. I make my way prosperous and consistently experience good success as I meditate on the Word and speak it forth with boldness. I am guided and propelled by God’s divine wisdom to do His will and fulfil my destiny in Christ. My eyes of understanding are enlightened; I see the invisible and I’m empowered to do the impossible. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21). What we just read is so huge; it’s one of the unexplored tablelands in the Christian experience. I would to God every Christian understood what it means for us to be called the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. It’s different from us being made righteous; the Greek word there is “Dikaiosune” and it means equity, the quality of fairness or impartiality. What this means is that we’re God’s proof of His fairness and impartiality. We’re the manifestation of His equity. This is so wonderful! Recall what the Bible says in Ephesians 3:10, “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.” It means that God points to us as evidence to all principalities and powers to judge that He is fair; He shows off with us as trophies of His goodness. Hallelujah! Romans 4:26 says, “…To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” What this means is that through the redemption that’s in Christ Jesus, God has proven Himself just, in justifying the sinner. Jesus Christ was delivered to death for our offenses, and raised back to life for our justification. When you study Romans 3:21-26, you’d understand this better. That portion says, “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” Think about that! God proves Himself to be just, while He justifies the sinner. How can He justify the sinner? Why are we His righteousness? Why are we His proof of His equity? We’ll learn more in our next study. He has blessed me with everlasting life; a life of grace, truth, and agelessness. I am empowered with might from within; therefore, I am victorious at every count and in everything. I refuse to live or function by natural abilities or within human capacities. I make full proof of God’s limitless power that has been deposited in my spirit; thus, I reign, rule, and dominate my world. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD l am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death (Revelation 1:18). One of the very important points we referenced in our previous study is that Jesus defeated Satan in hell, not when He was on the Cross. The whole subject of crucifixion was an entire process, describing Christ’s arrest, death and burial. His victory on the Cross was yielding Himself in obedience, even unto death, whereas Adam disobeyed God: “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous” (Romans 5:19). Adam didn’t yield himself in obedience to God’s will, but Jesus did. That’s why the Bible says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9), because He was obedient unto death—the death on the Cross. But as earlier stated, that wasn’t where He defeated Satan. If He had defeated Satan on the Cross, there wouldn’t have been the need for Him to descend to hell. But in hell, He met Satan, defeated him, and collected from him the keys of hell and death. What does this tell you about Satan? He has no power to kill anyone; otherwise, he would have killed everyone. Jesus paralyzed him and gave us dominion over him. He frustrated the one that had the power of death, that is, the devil: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Hebrews 2:14-15). Don’t be afraid of the devil. If he shows up in your room and says, “I’m going to kill you”; jeer at him and say, “Nonsense.” You don’t need to argue with him. He’s a weak and defeated enemy. Glory to God! Understand that when Jesus died, you died in Him, for you were in Him. When He was buried, you were also buried, in Him. When He went to hell, you were in Him. Therefore, when He defeated Satan and the demons of darkness in hell, you were in Him. That means you defeated Satan and his cohorts in hell. It’s a present-day fact. Blessed be God! PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the victory I have in Christ Jesus in whom I’ve conquered death, hell, and the grave. I live triumphantly over the elements of this world because of the authority and dominion Christ has given me over the forces of darkness. Thank you for this glorious reality, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I am surrounded on every side by the goodness of God. All around me, there are treasures, everywhere! All things are working for my good. I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus and I take possession of my inheritance in Christ. My health, strength, and wealth are assured. Christ is mingled with my spirit. So, I refuse to be sick any day, anytime. I am invigorated with strength always. In the Name of Jesus, I refuse arthritis, diabetes, cancer, tumors, paralysis, kidney failure, heart failure, and lung failure in any place in my body. Everything about my body is perfect; my lungs, liver, heart, blood, and every part of me is perfect. I declare that I live, rule and reign above them all. There’s no death in my life, family, finances, business, or job because the One in me is greater. I am protected from every form of evil and I am impervious to the things that kill ordinary men. God’s Word is in my spirit. It energizes me for success and greatness and keeps me in perfect health. I function with supernatural strength in my inner man. I enjoy God’s boundless grace. It empowers me to overcome all obstacles and overlook all lying vanities the adversary tries to put in my path. I have received, grace for grace. All of God’s ability, power, glory, might, strength, knowledge, wisdom. Everything that He represents have I received. I am replete with God. I am full of God. I am a carrier and dispenser of everything divine. I am a life-giving spirit and I impact my world with the power and dominion of His righteousness in Jesus mighty name. Amen. Speak in tongues.
