Rhapsody of Realities January 2nd 2025, THE FULL PICTURE OF THE GOSPEL MANDATE

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen (Mark 16:20). When you study the Synoptic Gospels—Matthew, Mark and Luke—you’d observe different perspectives to the Lord’s instruction with respect to the preaching of the Gospel. However, one theme stands out: The Gospel is to be preached to every man, woman, boy and girl; it’s for all nations. Mark gives us a clear structure for our mission as read in our opening scripture. The disciples went forth and preached everywhere; they did their part, and the Lord did His part by confirming the Word they preached with signs. This makes our responsibility clear: We preach the Word, and it’s the Lord’s responsibility to confirm it with signs following. In Luke 24:46-47, we see another significant aspect of the Master’s instructions. Luke, who had a deep understanding of the events surrounding Jesus’ ministry, adds a crucial point about the content of the Gospel that we’re to preach: repentance and remission of sins, “…Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” While Matthew emphasized teaching all that Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19-20), and Mark focused on preaching the Gospel which the Lord confirms with signs (Mark 16:19-20), Luke gave us the full picture. The Lord’s message was not just to teach or preach but to declare repentance and remission of sins among all nations. The early disciples initially kept the message within the Jewish community. They may have thought the Gospel was only for the Jews scattered among the nations, or perhaps they misunderstood the global scope of the Lord’s command. But the Gospel was always meant for all nations, for every creature (Mark 16:15). This revelation became clear through discussions like those recorded in Acts 15, where they finally embraced the full scope of the Lord’s mission. Today, we carry that same mission, teaching all that Jesus commanded, preaching the Gospel to every creature and to all nations, declaring repentance and the remission of sins in His Name. And the Lord continues to work with us, confirming His Word with signs following. Praise God! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for confirming your Word with signs, blessings and miracles as we, your children, all go forth and preach your Word today. Many receive salvation and are converted as your Word comes to them in the power of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities 24th November 2024. JESUS THE PROFILE OF THE FATHER

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature (Colossians 1:15). The Greek word translated “image” in the scripture above is “eikōn,” which is where the English gets the word “icon.” It means resemblance or profile. God is invisible, but if you want to know what He looks like, Jesus is the image, the profile of the invisible God. This helps us further understand the words of Jesus in John 14:8 (NKJV) when Philip said to Him, “…Lord, show us the Father, and it uis sufficient for us.” Jesus replied him, “…Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” (John 14:9). This is amazing! For their religious minds, this was too huge because Jesus had been talking so much about the Father. He talked about His oneness with the Father and that He would return to the Father. They wanted to see the Father, but He told them, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9). In Hebrews 1:3, we get another powerful description; it says, “Who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person….” The Greek word translated “express image” here is “charaktēr,” and it means exact copy, perfect imprint or facsimile. Jesus is the exact representation of God’s essence. If you want to see the perfect imprint of God’s person, it’s found in Jesus. Jesus displayed the divine nature, essence, and character of God. No wonder John 1:18 says, “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” The Greek word for “declared” here is ‘exēgeomai,’ meaning to display or rehearse. Jesus didn’t merely talk about God; He rehearsed and displayed the divine nature. The great and mighty works He did are proofs of His divine essence and oneness with the Father. He said, “Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves” (John 14:11 NKJV). PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for revealing your essence and nature through Jesus Christ, the perfect imprint of your being. As I behold the image of Christ through the Word, I see you, for He is the exact representation of your character, your love and your glory. I rejoice that through Christ, I have come to know the Father. I am transformed into the image of your dear Son. Thank you for your boundless love expressed so perfectly in me. Amen. Rhapsody Of Realities 17 November 2024. DISPLAYING HIS EXCELLENCE AND PERFECTION.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9 NET).  In the book of Acts, Luke reports how Peter and John healed a man who had been lame from birth. As a result, Peter and John were arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish council). During their interrogation, Peter boldly spoke about Jesus and the power of His Name. The Sanhedrin observed Peter and John’s courage and their profound understanding of divine realities, despite their lack of formal education (Acts 4:13). They saw in Peter and John the display of the excellence and perfection of Christ. It’s no surprise that the same Peter, by the Spirit, would write in 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”This is very significant as the term “show forth” translates from the Greek “exaggellō,” which means to display. Think about that as your calling, your assignment; it’s to display the excellence and perfection of divinity. The King James Version uses the term ”praises” but that doesn’t fully convey the meaning. The best word for it is a combination of excellence and perfection. So, when it says you should show forth the praises of Him, it means you’re to display the excellencies and perfections of the one who called you out of darkness. The AMPC renders it a bit more accurately: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.”Every day is an opportunity for you to fulfil this unique calling, to display the wonders, glory, perfections, love, grace, mercy and righteousness of Christ to the world. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for choosing me and bringing me into your marvellous light. I embrace my unique calling to display your virtues, perfection, love, grace, mercy and righteousness to the world. My life is a reflection of your glory, and the light of your glorious Gospel shines ever so brightly through me today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities, November 16th 2024, HIS WORKS CONTINUE THROUGH US

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12). What we just read are some of the most extraordinary words from the lips of the Master. He said those who believe in Him, not only will they do the same works that He did, but they’ll do greater works. This is only possible because Jesus has ascended to the Father, and through the Holy Spirit, His work continues through us. Recall what the Scripture says in lsaiah 53:10, “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.” This verse speaks prophetically of the Church, the body of Christ, as the seed of Jesus Christ. It tells us that after His vicarious sacrifice, the Lord Jesus will see His seed—the Church—and we shall prolong His days. Hallelujah! That’s what’s going on; Jesus multiplies Himself through the Church today; He continues His mission through us. In Acts 1:1, Luke writes to Theophilus about “…all that Jesus began both to do and teach.” The key word here is “began”; Jesus started the work, but we continue it. We are the extension of His ministry, teaching, impacting and transforming lives as He did. The same Spirit that anointed Jesus for His work resides in us, enabling us to continue and expand upon what He started. Through the Holy Spirit, we’re empowered to reach more people and impact more lives for the Kingdom of God. Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The Church is the extension of Christ on earth, living in His power and authority, fulfilling His mission. This is a calling of great honour and responsibility. We’re His hands, His feet, and His voice in this world, carrying out the will of the Father just as Jesus did. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the privilege of being a part of the body of Christ. I’m forever grateful that through the Holy Spirit, I’m empowered to do your will and establish your righteousness. I walk in this calling with boldness and faith, knowing that my life glorifies you. Thank you for making me an extension of your Kingdom in the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities, November 13th 2024, A SUPERNATURAL TRANSFORMATION

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). As a child of God, you have a new nature. This is fundamental knowledge for every Christian, yet many haven’t fully grasped it. When you were born again, it wasn’t just a religious experience; it was a supernatural transformation. Something incredible took place in your spirit; a new man with a new nature came into being. The human life you were born with was supplanted by the life and nature of God in Jesus Christ. This is the true meaning of being born again. The very life and nature of God that Jesus brought to this world, the organic and existential attributes of divinity, was imparted to your spirit. This is why Jesus came. He came to give you a new life, a supernatural life. This is what 2 Corinthians 5:17 means: “…If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” There’s been a supernatural transformation now that you’re born again. Therefore, it makes no difference what obtained in your natural life prior to your being born again; there’s a new you! Whether it was a disease, an infirmity, or any other limitation—now that you’re born again, there’s been a change. The old “you” wasn’t renovated or revamped but recreated after the image of God that created you (Colossians 3:10). You were recreated to look like God and to function like Him. Glory to God! No wonder He says in Ephesians 4:24, “…put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” his new you is created in righteousness and true holiness, perfected in Christ. There’s nothing that’s supposed to be in you that isn’t in you now. Also, there’s nothing that shouldn’t be in you that’s in you. Now you can understand why He says, “all things have become new”; everything in your life is new now that you’re born again. It’s crucial that you know this truth. Your acknowledgement of it activates its power in your life as the Bible says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6). Hallelujah! *PRAYER** Dear Father, I acknowledge that I’m a new creature in Christ; old things, including sickness, disease, infirmity, and all kinds of limitations have passed away, and all things have become new. I walk in the knowledge of this truth, and its power is fully activated in my life to live the transcendent life and walk in the fullness of my new nature in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. **FURTHER STUDY:** Colossians 3:8-10* But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: *Romans 6:4* Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. *1 Corinthians 6:11* And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Rhapsody of Realities, November 6th 2024,OUR POWER OF ATTORNEY TO USE THE NAME

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all (Acts 3:16). When we pray today, we don’t pray to Jesus in the Name of Jesus as that would be incorrect because it suggests using His power of attorney towards Himself, which makes no sense. The power of attorney Jesus gave us is to act in His stead, to use His Name as though He were the one speaking or making a request. Imagine you have given your lawyer the power of attorney to act on your behalf. This authority isn’t used to address you, but to interact with others on your behalf. Similarly, Jesus has given us His Name to represent Him. So, when we say, “In the Name of Jesus,” it carries the same weight as if Jesus Himself were speaking. This is one of the greatest honours we have as Christians. During our Healing Streams Live Healing Services, when I declare, “I bring you healing in the Name of Jesus, it’s not a simple statement; it’s a declaration of His authority and power. It doesn’t matter where the people are in this world or the situation they’re facing; when we use the Name of Jesus, every hindrance is removed, and the power of God is released. His Name is an instrument. Hallelujah! If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, for example, you can kill that cancer using the Name of Jesus. Place your hand over that area and say, “In the Name of Jesus, I command the cancer to die and pass out of my body.” If you do it the first time and nothing seems to happen, don’t despair; refuse to be moved. Remember, “They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy” (Jonah 2:8). You can declare repeatedly that it’s dead until it dematerializes. If you’ve been feeling intense pressure in your head, tell it to loosen up in Jesus’ Name! Perhaps you’re usually attacked by fear, to the point you don’t like being alone in the house at night; it’s time to put an end to it. Even now, address that spirit of fear, say, “In the Name of Jesus, fear, I rebuke you; get out.” Then start declaring, “I refuse to fear; I’m bold in the Name of Jesus!” Maybe you’ve been job-hunting for a long time now to no avail, you can decide and say, “Today, I’m going out to have the best job I’ve ever had in my life, in the Name of Jesus” and you’ll get it. Hallelujah! The power of attorney given to us to use the Name of Jesus is absolute and ineffable. No circumstance, situation, or demon can gainsay, withstand, or refute that power. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the power and authority of the mighty Name of Jesus. I stand in the victory and dominion of that Name against circumstances and the forces of darkness. Satan’s influence and manoeuvres over God’s people are frustrated in the Name of Jesus, and the Church revels in the dominion and triumph of Christ, supremely blessed and favoured, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
