Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has expressed a strong position against offering leniency to bandits involved in violent crimes, describing them as terrorists who have caused severe damage to communities through killings and abductions.
The governor made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Wednesday, where he discussed insecurity and the impact of armed groups operating in parts of Nigeria.
According to Sani, the activities of bandits have gone beyond ordinary criminality, pointing to attacks that have affected civilians, including women and children.

“When you call them terrorists, it means they are people who have killed innocent citizens,” Sani said, adding that those who destroy lives and communities should not be allowed to continue posing a danger to society.
