Public reactions have continued to trail the unexpected release of Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), with fresh claims emerging about the circumstances surrounding his detention.
A well-known social media commentator, Imran U. Wakili, has asserted that the abrupt decision to free the former governor suggests that his earlier detention may not have been justified.
According to reports monitored by LMSINT MEDIA, El-Rufai regained his freedom shortly after news broke about the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma, on Friday. The timing of this development has sparked debate among observers, many of whom are questioning whether the detention had solid legal grounding.
