Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). The Bible emphasizes the importance of dealing wisely, a principle that can change the trajectory of anyone’s life. This is something extraordinary that meditating on the Word does for you. The Amplified Classic version of our theme verse highlights this truth; it says through meditation, “…you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8 AMPC). This is a critical aspect of success. The Bible recounts how David, while living in the house of Saul, behaved himself wisely: “David acted wisely in all his ways and succeeded, and the Lord was with him” (1 Samuel 18:14 AMPC). Despite Saul’s hostility and attempts to harm him, David behaved wisely and that set him apart and paved the way for his eventual rise to kingship. Some people don’t know how to behave wisely because they’re bereft of God’s Word. Now you can understand why the Bible says to allow the Word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16). Then in 2 Timothy 3:15, it says the Scriptures are able to make you wise. You can choose to act wisely through consistent meditation on the Word. You might find yourself in a place where others don’t appreciate you, yet you’re able to conduct yourself wisely and achieve success. The Word of God can make that happen for you. You can make your way ever prosperous, deal wisely, and have good success through the Word. Once you grasp this truth, the complaints and limitations of others won’t matter to you. They are not factors to consider in your journey. The only constant is God, and the other factor is you. Take your times of meditation seriously. As you meditate on the Word, you’ll deal wisely and be successful in all your affairs. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the wisdom and understanding your Word imparts to me. I act wisely in every situation, guided by your Word and the Spirit. I refuse to be deterred by hostility or challenges, for I know my success is certain. I make my way prosperous, deal and behave wisely, and I walk in good success continually, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I am visible; well positioned, and the Spirit of God is magnifying my voice around the nations of the world. I can never be small because the anointing of God’s Spirit has set me apart for greatness, causing me to spread and make progress on every side. I am making progress, rising like an edifice higher and higher irrespective of daunting challenges, persecutions, hardships, and troubles around the nations of the world. Grace empowers me to overcome every obstacle and overlook all lying vanities the adversary tries to put in my path. No weapon of evil, disease, sickness, or death fashioned against me can prosper because I am favoured and graced. I know what to do. I have wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, it makes no difference what is required of me, or where I am I always know what to do and I always win. I have an understanding and discerning heart. The extraordinary strategist lives in me, therefore I cannot fail. The Spirit of God makes me a success. I am successful, always. I live the supernatural life; a life of victory, glory, peace, and dominion. I walk in excellent humility of heart. I attract divine favour and promotion. I’m submissive to the authority, influence and impact of God’s Word. I receive the Word into my heart, acting accordingly, making definite changes in my character and attitude with, and through, the Word. I was born to be triumphant always and in every place. Regardless of the challenges that I may face, I will always win. It makes no difference what happens, where I find myself or who’s against me; I am more than a conqueror! I can never be disadvantaged. The Lord God is mighty in me. He has blessed me with everlasting life; a life of grace, truth, and agelessness. My life is a life of
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee (Exodus 20:12). The Word of God provides clear instructions about the relationship between children and their parents. The apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:1-3 (AMPC) highlights the importance of children obeying and honouring their parents: “CHILDREN, OBEY your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right. Honour (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother–this is the first commandment with a promise– That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.” When you dishonour your parents, it affects your life negatively. Success may come, but it can be fleeting, with cycles of ups and downs, losses, and instability. It’s one of the reasons some people experience unexplainable instability, setbacks, and even premature death. So, do what the Word says; honour your parents or those who may be standing in that role over you. When you do, the result is clear: “It shall be well with you in life.” Honouring your parents isn’t just about your actions, but also about your attitude. The way you speak to them matters. You must treat them with utmost regard and respect. Furthermore, observe that God didn’t add any condition to you honouring your parents. He didn’t say, “Honour your father and mother if they treat you well”; no! Their status as your parents is enough qualification for them to be honoured. It makes no difference what issues or challenges they may have; they’re your parents, and you’re obligated to honour them. If your mother or father is unwell or living in poor conditions, do something about it; show care. Others may disregard them, but they’re your parents, not theirs. You might say, “My parents were very mean to me and didn’t give me the right love and care as a child; therefore, I don’t feel I should honour them.” Well, they’re still your parents, and you have a duty to respect and honour them regardless. You have to do what the Word says. No matter how much you speak in tongues or demonstrate spiritual fervour, it can’t replace this biblical principle. God’s Word is consistent, and honouring your parents is a divine instruction that brings blessings and ensures your journey in life is pleasant—upward and forward. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for teaching me the importance of honouring my parents and those you’ve placed to watch over me in the Lord. I show them the respect and regard they deserve; thus, my path in life is one of success and victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I live above, and far beyond the distracting elements of this world, because I live in Christ! My life is the testimony of God’s grace. I have been brought into a place of wealth untold. I am enjoying all that belongs to me in Christ. Lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places and I have a goodly heritage. I live and walk in prosperity even as goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. I carry blessings with me everywhere. All my projects prosper and they are highly profitable. I rejoice because the Lord Jesus has overcome this world for me. I have been made more than a conqueror in this life. I live in the victory Christ provided me; therefore, I am not afraid of sickness, for I reign in life through Christ Jesus. There’s no death in my path! In my path are life, health, blessings, peace, and prosperity. I walk conscious of my heritage in Christ. Sickness has no place in my body. I thrive in health every day. God’s goodness and mercy surround me like a shield, and my life is perfect and pleasant. The life of God inundates every fiber of my being, making me impregnable to sickness and disease. From the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, eternal life is at work in me! I belong to Christ; therefore, I’m the seed of Abraham, graced for greatness and ordained to be fruitful and productive in every good work. My life is for the glory of God and I reign and rule by the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one (John 17:22). When God made man, He wasn’t satisfied with man just looking like Him or functioning like Him. That was only the beginning. His ultimate goal was oneness with man. He created us to live in us and be inseparably one with us. The Lord Jesus said, “I am in the Father, and the Father is in me” (John 14:11). God has done the same with us and for us. This was His dream from the beginning. Colossians 1:26-27 says, “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” This is more than a mere resemblance with the Lord. It’s like When Jesus said, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9), it was much more than just resemblance or functionality; it was a revelation of oneness. God wasn’t just seeking a house to dwell in; His ultimate purpose is to reveal His glory through you to the nations. When the Bible speaks of nations, it doesn’t only refer to countries; rather, it signifies people who are connected by shared interests or characteristics. The Greek word is “ethnos”—a group of people with common interests or ideologies. Recognize yourself as inseparably one with God, sent by Him to reveal His glory to your world. Wherever you are right now, reveal His glory in that place. This is your calling. You’re a God-carrier, the effulgence of His glory. And because His glory is in you, you can manifest it and impact your world with it. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for making me a carrier of your glory to the nations. I function in my calling with wisdom, excellence and grace, influencing and transforming my world for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I function with supernatural strength and abilities today. Nothing and no one can hurt or harm me, for my sufficiency is of God. I walk in preordained pathways of blessings! Divine health flourishes in me. Goodness and mercy follow me everywhere I go, and I have the supernatural grace to excel in all endeavors today. Everything that concerns me prospers exceedingly. Christ is my wisdom. I’m filled with the fullness of God; loaded with all power, glory, might, and grace! The totality of divinity is fully present in my spirit and uniquely expressed through me! I display the perfections of Christ in sound health and with a life that is sickness-free. I am empowered with might from within; therefore, I am victorious at every count and in everything. I refuse to live or function by natural abilities or within human capacities. I make full proof of God’s limitless power that has been deposited in my spirit; thus, I reign, rule, and dominate my world. I have the life of God in me. This life destroys sickness and death; therefore, I walk in health and wellness. I cannot be sick! Divinity works and flows from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. I thank the Lord for this grace that I lavishly enjoy. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made (John 1:1-3). Everything that God does is through the agency of His Word. This is a very fundamental and essential truth to always be conscious of. God’s Word is His creative material. From Genesis 1, we learn that God created everything through His Word. The Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Then, verse 3 says, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” His Word brought order and life to what was a chaotic mass. Then, in John 1:1-3, the Bible declares, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Everything was made by the Word, and without the Word, nothing exists. This understanding reveals the limitless power of God’s Word. When you get a hold of the Word, you can do anything. Someone might ask, “If this is true, why are there so many in the world who are suffering? Why are so many in pain?” God’s response to the suffering and pain in the world is Jesus; and who is Jesus? He is the Word. We read that earlier in John 1:1-3. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” The Word heals, saves, and delivers. It brings hope, healing, restoration and answers to life’s toughest questions. If you’ve been sick and given up on by the doctors to die, what you need is to get a hold of the Word in your spirit. In Christ, you have an incorruptible, indestructible, imperishable life that destroys sickness, disease and infirmities. Get a hold of this reality and create your victory. Everything you need is in the Word of God. Therefore, keep affirming the Word. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word, which is creative and transformative. As I meditate on, and declare your Word, I create a life of victory, health, and success. Your Word is at work in me, producing results that glorify you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I have quietness, safety and security forever because of the righteousness of God given to me in Christ Jesus. My life is for the glory of God. Divine wisdom is heard in my words and seen in my actions. The Word of God prevails in my life and catapults me to greater levels of success, victory and prosperity. I walk in divine health and dwell continually in peace and safety. I walk in the light as a child of light, lambent and luminous. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all (1 Corinthians 14:18). When we speak in tongues, we speak a unique and divine language that transcends nationalities, ethnicities and regional accents. You most likely can’t determine someone’s land of nativity, country or cultural background by hearing them pray in tongues. Whether an individual is Indian, American, British, Chinese, or Nigerian, their prayers sound unified and distinct because when we speak in tongues, it’s a divine language with Holy Ghost accent. I once conducted a study on individuals praying in tongues from different parts of the world, and the results were phenomenal. I had participants record their prayers without any visual context—no pictures, no videos. As I listened to the audio recordings, I noticed something remarkable: it was impossible to determine where each individual was from or to identify their specific accent or nationalities. This is because praying in tongues is a spiritual language not tied to earthly regions or dialects; it’s heavenly. Furthermore, I considered groups from various locations, separated by vast distances, all praying in tongues. Despite their geographic separation, they all sounded as though they originated from the same place. And indeed, they truly are from the same spiritual place—Christ. Think about people in distant locations, speaking the same spiritual language. It helps to understand what the Bible says, “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:13). How could we all have this spiritual language, except for the fact that it’s by the same Holy Spirit? This is undeniable spiritual evidence of the reality and power of His ministry in and through us. Hallelujah! So, speak in tongues more than ever before, and you’ll see your life move from one level of glory to another. Speak in tongues every day and everywhere. Take this seriously like the apostle Paul who said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). He spoke in tongues more than all of them in the entire church in Corinth combined. This shows how integral speaking in tongues was to his life and ministry. Paul understood that it was a divine language unique only to us. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the gift of the Spirit and the blessing of speaking in tongues. I am edified, energized, strengthened and aligned with your perfect will for my life, and I’m led in the path of unending victory and success as I speak in tongues, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I’ll never walk in sickness or defeat! The victorious and glorious life is mine now. Christ is my assurance of health and life eternal. I have dominion in Christ, I rule over my body with the Word of God and in the Name of Jesus. I disallow infirmity and I cut off any abnormality from my body. In the Name of Jesus, I refuse arthritis, diabetes, cancer, tumors, paralysis, kidney failure, heart failure, and lung failure in any place in my body. Everything about my body is perfect; my lungs, liver, heart, blood, and every part of me is perfect. I declare that I live, rule and reign above them all. There’s no death in my life, family, finances, business, or job because the One in me is greater. I am a life-giving spirit and everything I touch or connect to receives life. My body is God’s house; the Holy Spirit perambulates every fiber of my being and every cell of my blood. I’m healthy and strong! Only the life and nature of Christ – His beauty and glory – are manifested in my physical body because He perambulates in me. I reign as a king in this life, changing situations and circumstances in my favour. I make decrees and they’re established, for the Word of God on my lips is God talking! I’ll never be discouraged or subject to the crippling principles of this world, because I reign and rule by the Word. Christ has brought perfection and excellence into my life. I am prospering exceedingly, manifesting the righteousness and dominion of Christ everywhere in Jesus’ name. Amen. Speak in tongues. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). When you pray and ask God for things, His ultimate purpose is not to give you material possessions such as houses, cars, or money; His focus is His Word in your spirit. As you grow in the knowledge of God, you’ll discover that everything you desire has already been granted you in His Word. He already said in 2 Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” This understanding will transform your prayer life and the content of your prayers. Instead of focusing on asking for things, your prayer times become moments of fellowship with God because you don’t have the consciousness of need. We have to emulate the way our Lord Jesus lived when He walked the earth. He had no consciousness of lack. What a glorious way to live, when you know that everything you need flows from your union with Him! The Bible says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). This means you’ve been brought into a divine partnership, a family union with Jesus Christ. If this is true (and thank God it is), what could you ever lack? God has already provided everything you’ll ever need for life and godliness through His Word. The key is to have the Word of God dwelling in you richly. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things…” (Matthew 12:35). Then Paul said, “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:7). This treasure is the Word of God stored in your heart, which has the power to produce or create anything and everything you need. That’s where the house, car, spouse, children and every other blessing come from—the Word of God in you! When you’re full of the Word, you carry within you everything you need for health, success, prosperity and victory in this world. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly….” So, meditate on the Word; confess it and let it shape your thinking. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the treasure of your Word that dwells in me richly. Every good thing I need flows from within me. I walk in the consciousness of abundance and live above lack because of the fellowship I have with Jesus Christ and my oneness with Him. Amen. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2). When Jesus prayed on the Mount of Transfiguration, the Bible says His countenance and His clothes shimmered with glory (Matthew 17:2, Mark 9:3, Luke 9:29). The glory that radiated through Him wasn’t a one-time occurrence; it was something that happened every day in the spirit. However, on that occasion, their eyes were opened to witness it. In the same way, the glory of God resides within us. We don’t always see it outwardly, but it’s there, and on some occasions, others may perceive it. This, for instance, happened only once in the short ministry of Stephen. In Acts 6, Stephen was described as a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, performing great wonders and signs among the people. He was brought before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish council) after being accused of blasphemy against Moses and God. When he stood before the council to defend himself, the Bible says, “All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel” (Acts 6:15 NIV). They beheld the glory on the face of Stephen. This glory isn’t just on you today but inside you, and it’s described as the more excellent glory—“the glory that excelleth”: “For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth” (2 Corinthians 3:9-10). Every time you pray in tongues, this glory in you is activated. I’m not talking about the brief, casual, praying in tongues that some people do. I’m talking about when you pray in tongues deeply and passionately from and with your spirit. This is intense, where you give yourself fully to prayer. At such moments, the currents of divine power that’ll surge from your spirit through your physical body will be almost immediate. Practise this. Consistently give yourself to praying in tongues with a reverent and yielded heart, and you’ll experience divine vitality and strength. This is God’s plan for your life, so take it seriously. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the power of praying in tongues. I yield my heart and spirit to you as I pray, allowing your glory to surge and radiate through me. I’m totally inundated with this consciousness. Every day of my life, I walk in God’s perfect will for my life. I am conscious of my immortality in Christ Jesus. I dominate life’s situations and circumstances. I dominate in everything that has a name. I am more than a conqueror. I have overcome the world and its persecution, pains, delusion, and wickedness. I have overcome the world and its hardship and greed! I am in Christ. I’m complete in Christ. I’m filled with all the fullness of God. The totality of divinity resides in me. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). What kind of words come out of your mouth? Are they words of love and grace, or words that pierce like a sword? The Bible says in Proverbs 12:18, “There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.” The latter is your life; your words are to bring healing to the bruised and mend the broken-hearted. Don’t utter words that destabilize others and rob them of their self-esteem. Support, uplift, bless and minister grace to others with your words. Your mouth is a tool given to you by God for edification, not for vengeful, hateful, or distasteful words that engender strife or contention. Take a cue from Jesus; He always spoke uplifting, building, comforting, inspiring and soul-stirring words. Those who heard Him speak in Bible days couldn’t get enough of His words. Even the common people, according to the Bible, heard Him gladly (Mark 12:37). His words brought them relief, hope, faith and love. The Bible says in Ephesians 3:17-19, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” To be filled with God is to be filled with love because God is love. God’s love is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit but expressed through your words and actions. Therefore, be known for gracious and loving words. Everyone, including children, should be comfortable around you because they know that every word from you will build them up and improve their self-esteem. Your life should be a blessing to everyone. Make up your mind to be a source of peace and joy, reflecting Christ in everything you do. That doesn’t mean everyone will be happy with you. Even Jesus wasn’t accepted by everyone. Some opposed Him despite His goodness. But don’t let that change your focus. Let your actions and words minister grace, edify others, and demonstrate the love of Christ. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for filling my heart with your love and grace. I speak words that edify, inspire and build others. My life reflects your goodness and love. I’m a blessing to everyone around me, and my actions reflect the life of Christ in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I will never walk in confusion because the Spirit of God is guiding me in the path of life and leading me in the way of supernatural success and permanent prosperity. I make my way prosperous and consistently experience good success as I meditate on the Word and speak it forth with boldness. God didn’t give us His Word just so we agree with it; it was given to us to use. The Bible tells us that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. How did He do it? It was with words. He spoke creation into existence. God’s Word is God’s creative material. When He says something, it becomes; whatever He says manifests. And He created us to look like Him and function like Him. The most important part of your life is your ability to use words. Maybe you didn’t know it, but words define your life. Words define your value. Words define your personality.You are no better or greater than your words. Your life is the expression, manifestation, and reflection of your words. It doesn’t take long to know who a person is; all they have to do is speak for a few minutes. Your words locate you; they reveal where you are; they shape your life. Consider how Jesus used words. His words carried power, wisdom and authority. He changed circumstances and transformed lives with words. Crowds gathered, thousands of people thronged Him, just to hear Him speak. When He calmed the storm, the disciples were astonished and said, “…What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” (Matthew 8:27). His authority over nature left them in awe, as they witnessed His power to command the elements with words. When He commanded demons to come out, the people said in amazement, “…with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out” (Luke 4:36). The Pharisees talked about demons, but Jesus spoke to the demons with authority. He rehearsed to us how to use words. He said in Mark 11:23, “you shall have what you say.” So be a master of words. Have faith in your words, for the Word of God in your mouth is God talking; it’ll prevail and produce what it talks about. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word in my life. My words are filled with faith and life, and they shape my destiny. Resources are locating me right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God is supplying me with constant streams of finances. The Lord has given His angels charge over me to keep me. Nothing can hurt me by any means. I am surrounded on every side by the goodness of God. I am protected from every form of evil and I am impervious to anything that binds, hurts, or kills. I am alive and full of strength and vitality. I am indestructible and no sickness can thrive in my body. I walk in victory and dominion over diseases and the forces of this world every day. I am lifted above this world and its deterioration. I always abide in the realm of life and glory that God planned for me. I walk in preordained pathways of blessings! Divine health flourishes in me. The example of Moses in our theme scripture is what God expects of us. He wants us to be identified with Him and esteem our calling in Him much more than the wealth, fame and comfort that the world could offer.Your union with Christ is the greatest thing; it’s far greater than anything money can acquire. That’s why it’s important that you know who Christ is in your heart and believe in Him with your spirit. The knowledge of who you are in Him and your glorious heritage in Him will inspire in you an extraordinary boldness and confidence such that the whole world will mean nothing to you. Pleasing Him in all things, and fulfilling His destiny for your life, becomes all that you care about. Recall the Spirit’s prayer through Paul for the Christians at Colossae: “For this reason…We continually ask God…that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way…” (Colossians 1:9-10 NIV). Moses didn’t live in Jesus’ day, but he had a revelation of his calling and identity with the saviour, because when you identify with Him, you become a saviour. And that’s what Moses became. The Bible says through him, God delivered (saved) the children of Israel from Egypt. Going to confront Pharaoh to let God’s people go was at the risk of his life but he esteemed that assignment beyond any resultant peril. He was dauntless, forsaking Egypt—the world—and all it represented. Let nothing matter or mean more to you than living for Christ. The Bible says, “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:15). Live to please Him. Remember, you’re a saviour from Zion; you were saved to save others. Identify with Him in His passion for soul winning. Esteem His call upon your life—the call to win souls and lead men into salvation—more than the treasures of this world. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PDSc DSc DD But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy (1 Peter 2:9-10). Mark 10:46-52 tells the remarkable story of the healing of a certain blind man named Bartimaeus. One day, as the Lord Jesus and His disciples were leaving the city of Jericho, Bartimaeus was sitting by the roadside, begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth passing by, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many people around him rebuked him, telling him to be quiet, but Bartimaeus shouted even louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and called for Bartimaeus to come to Him. Throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped to his feet and approached Jesus. Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man replied, “Rabbi, I want to see.” Moved by Bartimaeus’ faith, Jesus said, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately, Bartimaeus received his sight. He pleaded with the Master to have mercy on him, and it worked. But unlike Bartimaeus, today, as a new creation in Christ, you don’t need to cry, pray or “beg” the Lord for mercy; you have obtained mercy. Hallelujah! Recall what we read in our opening scripture. In Christ, abundant mercy has been given to us before we even thought to ask for it. And if you ever felt like you required His mercy for anything, Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” What a remarkable truth! We’re not told to ask for mercy; we’re told to obtain it. It has already been made available to us in Christ, and we simply take what has been given. So, how much mercy do you want? How much grace do you need, and for what do you require it? You don’t have to beg for it; just collect it! This is amazing because it shows us the lavishness of God’s provision. He gave us mercy and grace before we even had the sense to ask. All we need is to receive. Hallelujah! I have the Spirit of life living in me, guiding me, energizing me, and strengthening me. I exercise dominion over my body through the Word and over sickness and death. My life is built on the Word of God. It keeps me in health, strength, and victory, making me experience unprecedented progress, peace, and prosperity in my life. I am empowered me to do great wonders and miracles, and to effect positive changes in my world and in my health, family, and finances. I enjoy God’s boundless grace; it is at work in me continuously. No weapon of evil, disease, sickness, or death fashioned against me can prosper because I am greatly favoured and highly graced. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads me with benefits. Today, there’s an overflow of favor and abundance for me, and I take possession. I’ll never be broke in my life, for the Lord has supplied all that I require for life and godliness according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. I’m full of God, and there is no place for sickness and disease in my body. The Word of God is life and health to my flesh; therefore, no infirmity can thrive in my body. I am the light of the world; there is no darkness or death in my life. He spoke with certainty, saying, “…I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.” This statement reveals the possibility of walking in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ while on earth. Paul did not say he would pray for this to happen; he confidently declared it as a reality he walked in. Whatdoes it mean to walk in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel? It signifies living in the complete manifestation of the inheritance of Christ, demonstrating His blessings, power and divine nature. This isn’t an experience reserved for us in the sweet-by-and-by; this is to be experienced on earth, and in this time. Paul’s confidence stemmed from his understanding of our life in Christ. His writings are a testament to this reality. For example, he said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). He also affirmed, “…I have all, and abound…” (Philippians 4:18). These are the words of someone walking in the fullness of Christ’s blessings. This fullness is not theoretical; it is real and attainable. However, many miss out because they yield to fear or follow the wrong path. Paul understood his identity in Christ. He declared, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). What a consciousness! This understanding made Paul bold, unstoppable and unwavering. He walked in righteousness and maintained oneness with the Holy Spirit. He lived a life free from frustration and defeat, saying, “Christ in me, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). This is the life we are called to live—a life of victory, dominion and glory in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ. So today, live in the consciousness of your divine inheritance, demonstrating God’s glory, power and righteousness. Be strong, courageous and victorious, walking in complete oneness with the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! I am full of grace; I will finish all that God has called me to do with great joy. I am in God’s place for my life, I walk in the light of the Word, and all that concerns me is perfected by the Spirit of God. I’ve entered into the rest of the Lord; thus, I experience luxuriant growth and persistent productivity in every area of my life. Whatever I set my heart to do, the blessing of God is on it. Irrespective of the tribulation, distress, persecution or peril in this world, I’m more than a conqueror through Him that loved me—Christ Jesus, my Lord! President Bola Tinubu has encouraged Muslims across Nigeria to utilize the sacred month of Ramadan as a time to cultivate peace, patience, sacrifice, and service to humanity—core tenets of Islam. Speaking on Monday at the Qur’an Tafseer marking the commencement of Ramadan 2025, held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, emphasized that Ramadan is more than just abstaining from food and drink. He described it as a spiritual journey that fosters deep reflection, self-purification, and adherence to true Islamic values. Emphasizing Compassion and Nation-Building “This holy month calls for not only personal devotion but also collective kindness and social responsibility,” Tinubu stated. He commended religious leaders for their unwavering commitment to guiding the moral and spiritual development of society, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping the ethical foundation of the nation. “As we engage in fasting and self-sacrifice, let us do so with goodwill and a sense of unity,” he urged. “We must not only provide for the less privileged but also encourage those with resources to uplift others. Charity should be accompanied by genuine acts of kindness, and our prayers for peace must be supported by a commitment to justice.” A Call for National Unity and Prayers President Tinubu reaffirmed that Nigeria stands at a pivotal moment and called on all citizens to embrace unity and reject divisive elements.
