Nigerian artist Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has shed light on the reasons behind the latest separation from his twin brother, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), with whom he formed the iconic music group P-Square.
In a recent conversation with Cool FM Lagos, Mr P shared his thoughts on what led to their decision to pursue solo careers again. He highlighted the emotional satisfaction and fulfillment he derives from working independently.
“There’s a certain happiness that comes with doing music alone. We ask that fans understand and respect our choice. We made several efforts, but it just wasn’t working,” he stated during the interview.
This statement underscores the deep-seated issues that seem to have resurfaced between the talented siblings despite their previous reconciliations.
LMSINT MEDIA earlier reported that Paul Okoye confirmed in August last year that the duo had separated once again. It is worth noting that P-Square had originally disbanded in 2016 and later reunited in 2021, reigniting hopes among fans that the brothers had resolved their differences for good.
However, with this latest development, it’s now evident that despite their efforts, maintaining their bond as a duo proved difficult.
