Zambia’s Copper Queens head coach, Nora Häuptle, has admitted that Nigeria’s Super Falcons were superior in their quarter-final clash, reports LMSINT MEDIA.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria delivered an emphatic 5-0 victory over Zambia at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Friday, during the ongoing WAFCON 2024 tournament.

Despite Zambia’s strong football reputation, the Copper Queens appeared overwhelmed and displayed a lackluster performance throughout the match.

During the first half, Nigeria stamped their authority with goals from Osinachi Ohale, Esther Okoronkwo, and Chiwendu Ihezuo, leaving Zambia trailing.

The Nigerian team further extended their lead in the second half, courtesy of Tosin Demehin and Folashade Ijamilusi, sealing the 5-0 demolition.

In a post-match interview, Nora Häuptle, a Swiss national, conceded that her team was completely outclassed by the nine-time WAFCON champions.

“It was a very clear defeat for us. Congratulations to Nigeria on a well-deserved win. We must acknowledge that today, Nigeria was the better team,” Häuptle stated.
