The Nigerian Army successfully rescued four kidnap victims during a daring operation in Ugbolu Forest, Delta State. Acting on credible intelligence, the operation was conducted by the 63 Brigade on Monday, December 9, 2024, resulting in the liberation of the victims who had been held captive for several days. Decisive Action Against Kidnappers The Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Major Emmanuel Onoja, confirmed that the raid led to a fierce gun battle with the kidnappers, ultimately overpowering them. The criminals had reportedly demanded significant ransoms for the victims’ release. “Troops of the 63 Brigade, Nigerian Army, successfully rescued four kidnap victims during a raid on a kidnappers’ hideout in Ugbolu Forest, Delta State,” stated Major Onoja. Medical Care and Reunification Following their rescue, the victims received immediate medical attention and were subsequently reunited with their families. The Army emphasized its commitment to providing continued support to the rescued individuals while ensuring the safety of the region.
