The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has urgently called for a thorough investigation into the murder of its legal adviser, Chinedu Nwowu, in Oru West Local Government Area. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, January 22, when Nwowu was shot and killed by unidentified assailants in Mgbidi. In a strongly-worded statement, the party’s publicity secretary, Lancelot Obiaku, condemned the brutal killing, emphasizing that it highlights the growing insecurity in the region, where human life appears to have little value. Until his untimely death, Nwowu served as the PDP’s Legal Adviser in Oru West LGA. He was a dedicated and passionate leader, known for his significant contributions to the party’s development. Described as a vibrant young lawyer, a skilled mobilizer, and a respected community leader, Nwowu was admired by many for his relentless work ethic and commitment to his cause.
