The presidential aide stressed that the coalition, which has been publicized as a fresh opposition force, is nothing more than a gathering of individuals who have already lost relevance within Nigeria’s political landscape. According to him, such alliances have historically proven incapable of swaying national direction, especially under a leader who remains firmly focused on governance and reforms. He further emphasized that President Tinubu is not in any way disturbed by the development, pointing out that the administration is more concerned with delivering on its promises of economic recovery, infrastructure growth, and improved welfare for Nigerians. He insisted that no amount of political maneuvering from disgruntled figures could derail the focus of the government. Political analysts also suggest that while opposition alliances often emerge during periods of economic or political tension, their sustainability and effectiveness are usually limited. This sentiment appears consistent with the government’s confidence that the newly formed coalition will not alter the current political balance.
