Armed bandits have reportedly imposed a strict curfew on residents of Bilbis town, located in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The assailants have also demanded a staggering sum of ₦30 million from the community, escalating fears among inhabitants. Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the development, highlighting the gravity of the situation in the area. Bilbis town is notably the hometown of Senator Ikira Aliyu Bilbis, who serves as the representative of Zamfara Central Senatorial District. According to reports, residents have been ordered to stay indoors as the armed groups enforce the lockdown until their monetary demands are met. The town, which is normally a peaceful community, is now living under constant fear, illustrating the ongoing security challenges in parts of northern Nigeria. “Armed bandits have imposed a curfew and a ₦30 million levy on residents of Bilbis town in Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State.
