Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has admitted that Nigeria will face a very tough test when they meet Morocco in the semifinal of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. According to Iwobi, Morocco’s overall performance left a strong impression on him and highlighted the scale of the challenge Nigeria must overcome. Playing against Morocco on home soil adds extra pressure, as the North Africans have enjoyed strong support throughout the competition. On the other hand, Morocco is also desperate for continental glory, having last won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1976. But we still hope to face them. We have to believe, so we can achieve. Our team is good.” Despite acknowledging Morocco’s strength, Iwobi remains confident in Nigeria’s quality and belief.
