The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has officially confirmed the demotion of Muhoroni Youth FC, a football club competing in Kenya’s second division. This action follows a thorough investigation by FIFA, which concluded that the club had engaged in manipulating football matches — a serious breach of the sport’s integrity rules. FIFA’s disciplinary ruling, made public on Friday, determined that Muhoroni Youth had committed offenses connected to rigging football fixtures and competitions. As a result, the senior squad of Muhoroni Youth has been disqualified from participating in the National Super League, which is the second-tier football league governed by FKF. Effective next season, Muhoroni Youth will compete in the third-tier Division One League, marking a significant fall from their current position.
