Instead, the initiative to blacklist the musician stems directly from domestic Nigerian airline operators, not the country’s civil aviation regulatory body. This clarification was made public by Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the NCAA, during an exclusive interview with LMSINT MEDIA on Thursday, August 7, 2025. “It is not the NCAA that is blacklisting him but Nigerian airline operators,” Achimugu firmly stated. This update follows earlier speculation that K1 de Ultimate had been banned by federal aviation authorities, sparking public outrage and media buzz. Achimugu emphasized that the matter is still under active investigation by relevant government agencies. “The incident is still under investigation. Any individual found culpable will face appropriate legal consequences,” he added, pointing out that the final outcome will be based on investigative findings rather than conjecture.
