EPL Update: Ola Aina Eyes Full Recovery Before Season Closes

Nottingham Forest right-back Ola Aina is optimistic about making his return to the pitch before the conclusion of the current Premier League season. The Nigerian international has been sidelined for the past three league fixtures due to a calf muscle injury sustained during Forest’s impressive 1-0 home win over Manchester United in March. The 28-year-old defender, known for his agility and tactical awareness, revealed that the injury was a grade two calf tear, but he’s progressing well with recovery. Although his participation in this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City remains uncertain, Aina remains hopeful. “I’m taking things one step at a time. It’s improving steadily. I suffered a grade two tear, but thankfully, it isn’t too serious,” Aina shared during a chat with Gary Lineker on The Rest is Football podcast. “By God’s grace, I believe I’ll be back on the pitch before the season ends.” Ola Aina has been a key part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, and his presence at the back has provided much-needed stability for Forest’s defensive line. His potential return could offer a timely boost as the team battles to secure a strong finish in the Premier League.
