The Kano State Police Command has successfully apprehended three individuals found in possession of counterfeit currencies amounting to a staggering sum of ₦129,542,826,000. During a press briefing on Tuesday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed that the suspects are currently in custody and assisting the police in uncovering the origins of the fake currency. Armed bandits ambushed a passenger vehicle at Marabar Bangori. Upon receiving the alarm, the police mobilized and engaged the criminals in another gunfight. Overpowered by the police’s superior firepower, the bandits abandoned their mission, leaving all passengers safe. Unfortunately, one victim suffered severe injuries from an assault by the bandits and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital.
