JAMB Will Not Approve Law Admissions in Affected Institutions The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will not process admissions for candidates seeking to study Law at eight Nigerian universities for the 2025/2026 academic session. This decision follows the suspension of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in these institutions by the Council of Legal Education (CLE). The disclosure was made in a statement released by JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday. The statement, shared with Channels Television, emphasized that no admission requests for Law will be approved in the affected institutions. Law Programme Suspension Extends to 2026/2027 in Nigerian Police Academy In addition to the current suspension, JAMB confirmed that the Nigerian Police Academy in Wudil, Kano, will experience a two-year ban on its Law programme. This means the restriction will cover both the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic sessions. The statement reads:“Please note that the suspension of the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, will last for two academic sessions: specifically, the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 sessions.” List of Affected Universities The following universities have had their Law programmes suspended by the Council of Legal Education: This development serves as a critical notice to prospective law students and parents, as admissions into Law faculties in these institutions will not be processed for the upcoming academic sessions.
