Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him (John 17:1-2). What confidence Jesus had, to state that God had given Him power over all flesh to give them eternal life. This means Jesus is the One who gives eternal life. If He’s the Lord of your life, you have eternal life in you because He gives eternal life to all those over whom He’s Lord. You can only know and understand life when you know the source of life, and that’s Jesus Christ. The next verse says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). Notice how Jesus classifies Himself here with God because He is Himself God. He didn’t say, “that they might know thee, the only true God,” and stop there. He said “and Jesus Christ”; meaning you’ve got to know God and you’ve got to know Jesus Christ. You can’t have one without the other. Jesus is eternal life; that’s the reason He can give it. So, if you don’t know Him, you can’t know life. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Again, we see that God gives eternal life through Jesus Christ. This truth gets even clearer in 1 John 5:11-12, which says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” He says, “…this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life….” Observe the tenses. It doesn’t say if you have the Son, God will give you life. Rather, it says, “If you have the Son, you have life.” That’s the same thing Jesus said in John 6:47: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Glory to His Name forever! PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the eternal life that I have received through Jesus Christ. I rejoice that I have your life and nature in me, making me more than a conqueror. I walk in the consciousness of this divine life, and I manifest your glory, love and power as I share this truth with others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. My life is for the glory of God, and I experience His goodness and mercies today; my life is one of honour, excellence, praise, glory and thanksgiving to the Lord at all times. l’m in Christ and Christ is my life! His wisdom, righteousness, peace, glory and joy are expressed through me. I am superior to sickness and death because I have in me the divine life of God. Christ in me is my assurance of constant health and vitality. He is the glory of my life. I live in beauty and splendour and I exude the perfections and the excellencies of Christ to my world. I have all the things that pertain to life and godliness. The Lord is my refuge and my fortress. He shields me from deadly hazards. His outstretched arms protect me-under them I am perfectly safe. I fear nothing. My health is flourishing. Of my increase, greatness, prosperity, and flourishing, there shall be no end. I have strength for accomplishment. I have no unfinished goals or aborted dreams. Every one of my targets and dreams is coming to fruition speedily. I have unlimited access to inexhaustible riches. I’m plugged into a non-stop supply system. Goodness and mercy are attracted to me. The law of multiplication is at work in me, nothing diminishes in my hands. Wherever I invest my money, the Holy Spirit gives me the advantage. My profiting is undeniable and appears to all. I make progress by the Spirit. The Spirit of God leads me in the path of unending prosperity. I’ve moved to the next and higher level of glory. I don’t lack anything, because the Lord is my Shepherd. My wealth is limitless, inestimable, and unquantifiable; my prosperity is of the Spirit; therefore, it’s unending. My life is the revelation of the glory of God. My eyes are opened to see financial opportunities and divine doors that are opened unto me to produce wealth. I am favoured by the right people in the right places at the right time. My prosperity is from glory to glory. I’m making great progress because I am mightily blessed of God. I have the supernatural grace to excel in all endeavors today and always, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). Peter’s beautiful words help us to further understand Christianity. In Christianity, we’ve been born into God’s marvellous light, His wonderful light. The word “marvellous” means wondrous. Most translations interpret this as if we’re being brought out of literal darkness into light. But that’s not the full picture. When it says He brought us out of darkness, the term “darkness” actually means obscurity. He called you out of obscurity. He’s not referring to being called out of the kingdom of darkness in a general sense, but rather being brought out of obscurity—out of being unknown, unrecognized, unnoticed, where nobody knows or cares about you. He brought you out of obscurity into limelight, His wondrous or wonderful light. Why does He call it wonderful light? It will take several scriptures to fully explain this, but I want you to understand that this is the light of Jesus Christ. In Luke 1:79, Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist spoke about the message of salvation that would be brought forth, saying that this message would illuminate those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death: “To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” They were sitting in darkness, sitting in obscurity, but Christ would be their light. This means His wonderful light does two things: it illuminates you and then makes you luminous. You become lambent and resplendent. Yours is the kind of light that both illuminates and transforms into a light source itself. The light is so strong, so dazzling that it turns its subjects into lights. That’s why it’s described as His marvellous light, His wondrous light. You’ve been brought into this light, and now you are lambent. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for bringing me into your marvellous light. I’m no longer hidden, unknown, or obscure; I’m a city set on a hill, lambent with unquenchable intensity. My life is a testament to your transformative power as I continue to grow and glow in your wondrous light, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY:Matthew 5:14-16Ye are the light of the world. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9 NET). I am enjoying God’s boundless grace; it is at work in me continuously. No matter what happens to those in the world, I stand firm in faith, and I enjoy my glorious life now. I bask in the provisions of Christ for my life, health, and all that concern me. There are no impossibilities with me. All things are possible with me. I am flourishing and bearing all-around fruits. I have significant attainments and supernatural productivity. I experience increase of every size. I have mighty harvest of blessings and miracles. My ground is producing new seeds and my seeds produce in rapid succession. There is abundance of harvest everywhere for me because protocols are broken for my sake. I possess and eat the good of the land because I have a goodly heritage. The wisdom of God is at work in me causing me to bring forth good things from within. I have an excellent mind. I bring forth creative ideas, results and innovations. My mind is blessed of God. I’m extravagantly rich. I dwell in peace with safety and prosperity. My peace and prosperity are unending. I yield my thoughts and mental processes to Your Word and Spirit, choosing to focus on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. I maintain an excellent mind that is creative, innovative, and free from negativity. My thoughts and actions reflect the excellence of my divine nature. This is my season for exaltation. That favour of God that brings promotion now rests upon me. I have been given great power, prosperity, and control. I am rightly positioned for all the Lord has planned for me this year. God is happy to do me good. He delights in my prosperity, my promotion, and exaltation. I am wondrously and marvelously helped of God. I’m born of God’s Word and His Spirit; therefore, supernatural health and strength are mine always. My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost; the Spirit of God vitalizes every fiber of my being. I live triumphantly, far above the devil and the negative systems of this world! The life of God in me destroys sickness, disease, and infirmity completely. Divine life oozes out of me continually affecting everything around me, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Speak in tongues.
