Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has officially named Abdulwahab Mohammed as the Senior Special Assistant on Communication. The appointment was made known in an announcement released on Friday through Mukhtar Gidado, who serves as the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. Within the statement, it was highlighted that Abdulwahab Mohammed is a seasoned journalist who previously served with the Voice of America (VOA) Hausa Service. “This appointment demonstrates Governor Bala Mohammed’s dedication to reinforcing the state’s communication strategy and enhancing interaction between the government and the people,” the statement explained. Additionally, Gidado noted that Abdulwahab would be responsible for promoting the government’s policies and initiatives, expanding public awareness, and supporting the advancement of good governance across the state. According to the statement, the appointment is to take effect immediately.
