85% of Campaign Promises Achieved – Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Confirms

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced that his administration has successfully delivered on 85% of the commitments made to the people of Kano State, with just 15% of the pledges remaining to be accomplished. This revelation comes as his tenure progresses into the latter half of his constitutional four-year mandate. Governor Yusuf made these remarks on Thursday while officiating the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed government officials. The appointees include Dr. Sulaiman Wali Sani as the Chief of Staff, retired Major General Sani Muhammad as the Director General of the Special Services Directorate, and 11 newly selected Special Advisers. While addressing attendees at the event, Governor Yusuf highlighted that the 85% achievement rate was determined following a comprehensive performance evaluation submitted to the Kano State Executive Council. “After conducting a thorough review last week, I am pleased to confirm that 85% of our promises have been fulfilled. With two years remaining in this administration, we are left with just 15% to achieve,” Governor Yusuf stated. He further revealed that the government is preparing to unveil fresh programmes and infrastructure projects aimed at further enhancing the living conditions of Kano residents. Additionally, Governor Yusuf issued a charge to the new appointees, urging them to exhibit transparency, integrity, and accountability in their duties. He emphasized the prudent management of public finances and stressed the importance of prioritizing the welfare of the people in every governmental action.
