Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared his grief following the tragic crash of an Air India flight departing from Ahmedabad en route to London Gatwick Airport.

According to LMSINT MEDIA, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Air India Limited crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on Thursday. The ill-fated Flight 171 was transporting approximately 242 passengers and crew members.

Initial findings suggest the aircraft had climbed to an altitude of 625 feet, traveling at a speed of 174 kilometers per second, before the crash occurred. Eyewitness videos captured thick plumes of black smoke rising into the sky, indicating the severity of the incident.

In response to the tragedy, Prime Minister Modi took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle to express deep sorrow. He conveyed his condolences to the victims and their families, assuring the public that efforts are underway to provide support.

“The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words,” Modi wrote in his post.

He further noted that he is actively coordinating with relevant government agencies and Cabinet Ministers to ensure immediate assistance reaches those impacted by the crash.
