Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has identified two club colleagues—Lamine Yamal and Raphinha—as his top contenders for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Lewandowski praised Yamal’s standout campaign and Raphinha’s superb contributions following Barcelona’s domestic treble. The duo collectively amassed an impressive 100 direct goal contributions last season, underpinning their candidacies.
Reflecting on Yamal’s impact, Lewandowski told the BBC: “His season was extraordinary, but ultimately it depends on what’s most important. He still has plenty of time—if not this year, then perhaps next.” The Polish forward also highlighted Raphinha, adding: “Raphinha too delivered a remarkable season. We have players capable of being favourites for this honour.”
