Popular Kenyan music star, Victoria Kimani, has openly stated that she has never been approached by men from her own country for a romantic relationship.
The renowned singer, once signed to Nigeria’s prestigious music label Chocolate City, shared that the only men who have shown romantic interest in her while in Kenya are non-Kenyans or foreigners.
During a recent episode of the Box Podcast, Victoria Kimani said:
“I don’t get approached in Kenya. Nobody approaches me, unless they are not from here.”
She went on to suggest that it’s either her fellow Kenyans do not know how to make the move, or they simply assume that she is unapproachable due to her fame.
“It’s like a lack of confidence or they just assume that I’m going to turn them down or they just don’t know how [to approach me]. It’s like they lack game.”
Kimani, who has built a strong reputation for herself across Africa’s entertainment industry, emphasized that confidence, good hygiene, and effective communication are key for men trying to win a woman’s heart.
Over the years, Victoria Kimani has remained private about her personal and romantic life, although there have been unconfirmed speculations linking her romantically to notable music stars like Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani and Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz. She has, however, never publicly confirmed any of those rumors.
Her comments have sparked a conversation on social media, with fans debating whether Kenyan men indeed lack confidence or if Victoria Kimani’s status simply makes her less approachable to the average man.
