EPL: Gary Neville Names Two Ideal Managers to Succeed Carrick After Arsenal Victory

Former Manchester United captain and football analyst, Gary Neville, has put forward two high-profile managerial options he believes could succeed Michael Carrick as Manchester United’s permanent head coach at the end of the season. His comments followed the Red Devils’ 3–2 Premier League victory over Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.

Neville suggested that despite the impressive win, Manchester United should maintain stability by allowing Carrick to continue in his interim role until the season concludes. According to him, the club should simultaneously prepare for a long-term transition by targeting elite-level managers with proven pedigree at the highest level of world football.

In his assessment, Neville identified Carlo Ancelotti and Thomas Tuchel as the two standout candidates capable of taking over the role on a permanent basis. Both managers are currently leading major national teams, with Ancelotti in charge of Brazil and Tuchel overseeing England’s national side.
