Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has formally accepted his appointment as Chairman of the National Campaign Council ahead of the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, reaffirming the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s determination to secure another electoral success in the state.
The announcement was contained in a statement released shortly after the inauguration of the campaign council by the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Speaking on the responsibility entrusted to him, Governor Sani expressed appreciation to the party leadership and pledged to work closely with stakeholders, party officials, supporters, and community leaders across Ekiti State to ensure a successful campaign for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
According to the Kaduna governor, the APC remains optimistic about its chances in the forthcoming election due to Governor Oyebanji’s performance in office and the widespread support he continues to enjoy among party members and residents of the state.
Sani stated that the primary objective of the campaign council is to coordinate an effective grassroots-driven campaign capable of delivering a convincing victory for the incumbent governor when voters head to the polls.
He emphasized that the party has already established a strong operational framework across all parts of Ekiti State in preparation for the election.
“Our collective mission is to execute a successful campaign that will ultimately result in a decisive victory for Governor Biodun Oyebanji,” Sani said.
The governor further disclosed that APC structures have been strengthened throughout the state’s 16 local government areas and 177 wards, creating a solid platform for voter engagement and mobilization.
He noted that active participation from young people, women, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders would significantly contribute to achieving the party’s electoral objectives.
According to him, the APC has invested considerable effort in building a reliable grassroots network that will enhance communication, voter outreach, and campaign effectiveness throughout the election period.
“We have established a strong grassroots foundation across all 16 Local Government Areas and 177 wards, positioning us effectively for the task ahead,” he added.
Governor Sani also used the opportunity to acknowledge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as consistent leadership and dedication to national progress.
He commended the President’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and supporting the growth of the ruling party across the country.
The Kaduna State governor expressed gratitude to the APC leadership for the confidence placed in him through the appointment and assured party members that he would collaborate closely with other members of the National Campaign Council to deliver victory for the party in the Ekiti governorship election.
Political observers will be closely monitoring the campaign activities in the coming months as the APC intensifies efforts to retain control of Ekiti State through Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election bid.
