Rhapsody of Realities July 11th 2025, YOUR DIVINE IDENTITY

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23). In Luke 6:44, the Lord Jesus made this remarkable statement: “For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.” In other words, when you see a tree that produces oranges, you call it an orange tree, or mangoes, a mango tree, as the case may be. The tree is identified by the fruit it produces. Now, let’s apply this to our opening scripture that talks about the fruits of the recreated human spirit. The first fruit listed is love. That means you’re a love tree, because you produce love fruit; love is a fruit of your spirit. Another fruit of your recreated spirit is joy; you produce joy fruit, and what does that make you? It means your name is Joy. Then there’s peace; since you produce peace fruit, that means you’re Peace. Longsuffering means patience, so your name is Patience because patience is a fruit of your spirit. So, never say “I’m not a very patient person.” You’re patient. Gentleness is another fruit; so, your name is Gentleness. Also, goodness; your name is Goodness. Then there’s faith, meekness, and temperance. These are all fruits of your spirit; they describe who you are. Praise God! Furthermore, Ephesians 1:17 shows another beautiful description of your divine identity by referring to our heavenly Father as “…the Father of glory….” If your Father is the Father of Glory, then who are you? It means your name is Glory. You’re the glory of God. Blessed be God! CONFESSIONI bear the fruits of righteousness, and I walk in the glory of God, manifesting love, joy, peace and all the virtues of the recreated human spirit. My life is an expression of God’s divine nature, and I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ, radiating divine excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDYPhilippians 1:9-11And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Matthew 7:16-20Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Rhapsody of Realities July 9th 2025, PRESENTING JESUS CHRIST ALIVE

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8). When I began holding crusades many years ago, my focus was to present Jesus Christ alive to the people. Hence the posters or handbills would read, “Presenting Jesus Christ Alive” in so and so village, town, or city, naming wherever it was. I presented Him alive because, as far as I was concerned, Jesus Christ was the same as He was in Bible days, and alive. Even today, all over the world, in our books, our messages and teachings, the purpose is the same: to present Jesus Christ alive, proving His unchanging nature and power. In those early years, we held camp meetings annually. In one of those years, the theme of the camp meeting was “Beyond The Written Pages.” Yes, the Lord Jesus in His power, glory, dominion and grace lives beyond the written pages. He’s alive today, blessing and transforming lives as He did in Bible days. Christianity transcends mere words on paper. It’s about presenting Jesus Christ alive to the nations and peoples of the world, beyond history and prophecy. We must take this message beyond our immediate borders, to reach the farthest regions, to the ends of the earth. This has to be your mindset now more than ever. The real Church can’t be stagnant or static; the real Church must be dynamic. It must continually reach beyond borders, presenting Jesus Christ alive, relevant and as Lord in a postmodern world. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the consistency of your vision and the revelation of Jesus Christ alive today. I’m taking the message beyond borders, presenting the living Christ to my world and beyond. The Church is marching forward, expanding and spreading the message of your love, power and grace through the nooks and crannies of the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities July 8th 2025, THE CONSISTENCY OF JESUS CHRIST

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith, follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:7-8). What we read in our opening scripture above is quite profound. There’s a connection between verses 7 and 8 that many Bible translators didn’t grasp. This is due primarily to the lack of punctuation in the original Greek text. The connection is straightforward when you study the passage in context. Both verses actually emphasize the consistency of the Lord Jesus Christ. The 8th verse, which says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever,” is not independent of the preceding verse 7. What the Spirit is emphasizing in those verses is that the leaders who brought us God’s Word had a way of life that demonstrated and bore testimony to the power and consistency of the Lord Jesus Christ; He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. In other words, their faith produced results that reflected the unchanging nature of the Lord Jesus—His faithfulness, trustworthiness and glory—proving Him to be consistent. What He did back then, He’s able to do, and still does today. Therefore, the instruction is clear: follow the faith of those who delivered God’s Word to you, considering the outcome of their lives, which is the revelation of Jesus Christ’s consistency and unchanging nature. No wonder James 1:17 describes Him as the Father of lights, with whom there’s no variableness, neither shadow of turning; no shadow of inconsistency with Him. He said through the prophet in Malachi 3:6, “For I am the LORD, I change not….” Today, it makes no difference where you are in your life or what you need; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Trust Him with your life. Those who came ahead of us testified of His faithfulness and the infallibility and immutability of His Word. We have the same testimony; He never fails. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the consistency of your Word and the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ who’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. Rhapsody of Realities July 7th 2025, THE UNITY OF THE FAITH

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). There’s a level of maturity that the Church of Jesus Christ all over the world is expected to come to before the Rapture of the Church. This doesn’t mean every individual will become mature overnight, because we’re still winning souls. Therefore, there’ll be baby Christians, and it’ll take time to train and raise them in the Word. But God’s people are growing, becoming more aware and more united in the faith. This will continue until such a time that there’ll be unity in the spirit. What unifies God’s people in this manner is the knowledge of the Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. What the opening scripture tells us isn’t something to be achieved in heaven but here on earth. Notice it says, “Till we all come…,” not just some of us but the whole Church moving in unity. Even the babes in Christ who don’t know much are expected to follow the guidance of those who have walked with the Lord longer. That’s why Paul could confidently say, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). He said, “Copy me,” because he was following the Master. It’s like living in a city with a high level of enlightenment; even if someone never went to school, he or she would be cultured likewise by simply being in that environment. In Christ, we all live in God’s spiritual city: “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22). We all are involved in this maturing of the Body of Christ: learning the Word, following the Lord’s guidance, and helping others to grow in Him until we, the Church, arrive at that place of maturity and unbroken unity that the Word describes. Ensure to play your role. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the knowledge of your Word that unifies and matures us in Christ. I yield myself to be a worthy example to those who are coming into the fold. As I follow Christ, I guide others by my words, actions and devotion to you. Thank you for your grace that enables me to walk in your wisdom and truth every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities July 6th 2025, FOCUS ON WHAT TRULY MATTERS

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc D And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23). To be a true success with the Lord, you must walk in His wisdom. It’s about putting Him first and letting His wisdom guide your every step. God’s Word is God’s wisdom. So, give more attention to the Word. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…” (Colossians 3:16). Unfortunately, many people train themselves to major on the non-essentials because they don’t know what’s truly necessary. They invest their time and energy in things that don’t count for eternity. It brings to mind the story of two sisters, Martha and Mary, who each responded differently to the Lord Jesus’ visit to their home (Read Luke 10:38-42). Martha was consumed with the numerous tasks required in hosting a guest, along with much anxiety and distraction. In contrast, Mary chose to sit at the Master’s feet to absorb His teachings and engage in fellowship with Him, and the Lord commended her choice. When Martha expressed her frustration, the Master gently replied: “…Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41-42). The Master pointed out that Martha’s priorities were misplaced. You must prize the Word of God above all else because there’s so much you will never know or understand otherwise. Focus on what truly matters—your study and meditation on the Word and your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It’ll keep you always on the path of ever-increasing glory, victory, success and prosperity, and you’ll live a life that truly pleases and honours the Lord. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for your Word which reveals your wisdom and purpose. I focus on the one thing that matters most—my fellowship with you in, through, and by the Word. Rhapsody of Realities July 5th 2025, UNDERSTANDING THE FATHER’S HEART

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them…(Luke 9:56). In praying to effect changes, especially in your town, city or nation, a clear understanding of the Word and insight into the mind of God is important. For example, consider a scenario where a group of Christians in a city or nation are praying in agreement that they don’t want a particular government official. Meanwhile, there’re other Christians who work with that same leader who may be praying every day for the leader to succeed and remain in office. While those declaring a change may be justified, God also considers the prayers of His children who are standing in faith for that leader. It reveals something about the nature of God—His fatherly nature. You may expect Him to act in a certain way and He doesn’t. It’s because He thinks differently. His actions are governed by His love, mercy, and purpose. Consider the case of James and John in Luke 9:54-56. They were offended by those who did not plan adequately to receive the Lord Jesus and asked, “…Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?” (Luke 9:54). But Jesus rebuked them, saying, “…Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them…” (Luke 9:55-56). The Master demonstrated the Father’s heart of love and mercy throughout His ministry. He understood His purpose and remained committed to fulfilling it according to the will of the Father. God’s nature is consistent. He is merciful and loving. He operates as wisdom, always seeking to save and to bring His children into alignment with His divine purpose. Understanding this helps us appreciate why God may not always act the way we expect Him to, even when we think our desires are justified. As you give yourself to the Word and the guidance of His Spirit, you will increasingly know and walk in His perfect will and plan in every situation and be able to pray effectively with direction and precision. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for your love, mercy and wisdom. I recognize your fatherly heart, and I yield myself to your will and purpose, and declare that your love and grace prevail in my life and in the lives of those around me as I walk in alignment with your Word and fulfil your purpose, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities July 4th 2025,TRUE AUTHORITY LIES WITH GOD AND HIS CHURCH

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule (Daniel 4:26). The Bible, in Daniel 4, tells of how Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled him deeply. In this dream, he saw a magnificent tree that grew tall and strong, providing shelter and food for all living creatures. However, an angelic being ordered that the tree be cut down, leaving only a stump bound with iron and bronze. This dream perplexed the king, and he consulted Daniel, a prophet of God, to interpret it. Daniel revealed that the tree was the king himself, and he would be humbled for his pride until he acknowledged that “…the heavens do rule” (Daniel 4:26). A year later, being yet unrepentant, Nebuchadnezzar was struck with madness; for seven years, he lived like an animal, eating grass and roaming the fields. According to Daniel 4:17, this decree came from the “watchers”: “This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” The “watchers” here refer to angelic beings assigned to oversee matters on earth with authority to enforce God’s will. Nebuchadnezzar thought he ruled the world until he was compelled to acknowledge the rulership of the heavens. It’s the same today. Those who falsely claim absolute authority over others, operating under the delusion that their influence gives them control over the nations, don’t realize that true authority lies with God and His heavenly Kingdom. All power belongs to the Lord, and He executes His judgements on earth through the Church: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). We enforce God’s will in our world: “All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence” (Ephesians 1:20-23 MSG). Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the assurance that the heavens do rule and that all power belongs to you. Rhapsody of Realities July 3rd 2025, FOLLOWING HIS DIVINE PLAN

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10). Romans 8:29 says, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate….” Predestination is at work in you. God has a divine plan for your life, and He has set events and their sequence in motion in line with His divine plan. Consider John the Baptist, for example, whose entire ministry was for the sole purpose of making the Messiah known to Israel. God could have simply told John where to find Jesus, but John had to follow God’s instructions and wait for the sign he was given: “…Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit” (John 1:33 NKJV). Finally, Jesus stood before him, and John recognized Him (John 1:29-34). It unfolded precisely according to God’s divine plan. Consider, too, Samuel’s intriguing visit to anoint one of Jesse’s sons as king (1 Samuel 16:1-13). Samuel thought he had found the Lord’s anointed when he saw Eliab, with his impressive stature. But God said, “Not him, for I have rejected him” (1 Samuel 16:7). One by one, Jesse brought seven of his sons before Samuel, and each time God said, “Not this one.” God could have simply told Samuel who to anoint, but He allowed the process to unfold step by step. Finally, Samuel asked Jesse, “Are here all thy children?” Jesse admitted that there was still one more son, David, who was tending the sheep. When David was brought before Samuel, the Lord said, “…Arise, anoint him: for this is he” (1 Samuel 16:12). God’s divine plan for David came to pass according to His preordained design. God has a plan for your life and it’s a good one. He has predestined your life for His glory, and He knows exactly where you are in His divine plan. You don’t need to be in a hurry or get in a frenzy trying to fulfil His destiny for your life. He has all the events and their sequence planned out in line with His divine purpose. Yours is to follow the path which He’s prearranged ahead of time. Ephesians 2:10 AMPC says, “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” PRAYERDear Father, I trust you wholeheartedly, knowing that you have predestined my life for your glory. My life is a testimony of your faithfulness, and I yield myself to your perfect will, ever advancing and fulfilling all you have called me to do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities July 2nd 2025, STAY FOCUSED ON THE DIVINE MISSION

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak (John 12:49). The Lord Jesus was focused on His divine mission. He knew exactly what He came to do and was undistracted. He declared His purpose and remained committed to it: “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10 NKJV). Then in John 4:34 NKJV, He said,“…My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work,” showing His deep commitment to completing the mission given to Him by the Father. But then in John 20:21, He said something remarkable, “…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” Therefore, like Him, we must stay focused on the divine mission. He said in Mark 16:15, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This is the divine mission. Matthew 24:14 says “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Our mandate is to complete the full preaching of the Gospel in all nations this year; how focused are you on this? Your accountability to the Lord would be on the basis of your participation in the Gospel. Anyone can say to you today, “You’re doing a great job,” but what truly matters is if you’re doing what the Lord said to do. Even in speech, the Lord Jesus set an example as seen in our theme verse. Every word He spoke was in alignment with the divine mission. He said in John 8:29, “I always do those things that please the Father.” We’re called to emulate Him in all things. Therefore, let your life mirror the Master in speech, action and commitment to the divine mission. Stay focused on fulfilling the mandate of the Gospel. Personalize the mandate and live every day with the consciousness that necessity is laid on you to preach the Gospel. Nothing in this world is more important than that. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for setting me on a path of divine purpose. I walk in alignment with your will and in the consciousness that necessity is laid on me to preach the Gospel. My life is a reflection of true and unwavering commitment to the cause of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities June 28th 2025, CHRIST—THE SEED OF ABRAHAM & DAVID

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ (Galatians 3:16). God’s Word is remarkably precise when it comes to prophecy. The promise made to Abraham was not a general promise to many descendants but a specific promise concerning one seed. In Genesis 22:17-18, God said to Abraham, “…in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed….” Notice how God repeatedly used the singular form “seed” and not “seeds.” The Apostle Paul clarifies this in Galatians 3:16, stating that this singular “seed” refers to Christ, emphasizing the accuracy of God’s Word and the fulfilment of His promise: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Through Jesus Christ, the nations of the earth have indeed been blessed with salvation, healing, and eternal life. Furthermore, certain prophecies also reveal that the Messiah would be a descendant of David. Jeremiah 23:5 says, “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” This prophetic word speaks of a righteous King from the lineage of David who would reign and establish justice in the earth. Isaiah previously gave a similar prophecy with even more details when he prophesied by the Spirit, “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD…” (Isaiah 11:1-3). Also, 2 Timothy 2:8 says, “Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel.” This prophecy describes the nature and character of the Messiah—Jesus Christ. He’s indeed the fulfilment of the promises made to Abraham and to David the son of Jesse. He’s the Seed and the Righteous Branch who has come to establish God’s Kingdom. Blessed be His Name forever! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the fulfilment of your Word concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. Rhapsody of Realities June 26th 2025, THE CHURCH HAS THE DOMINION

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass away (1 Corinthians 2:6 AMPC). The rulers of this age are being brought to nothing, and this isn’t something that God is doing from heaven. Rather, it’s happening through us, through the authority He’s given to the Church. We’re His battle axe and weapons of war, enforcing His will on earth with the authority vested in us. Therefore, when you talk about the evil forces of this world, the principalities of darkness and their works, affirm what the Word says about them: “they are brought to nothing.” The greater One lives in you and His authority is supreme over all the powers of this world. We’re in the Church age and the Church has the dominion. The Lord Jesus gave us the authority; He said in Matthew 28:18-20, “…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” We’ve been empowered by the One who has all power in heaven and in the earth. So, in His Name, we tame situations, discipline circumstances and enforce the will of God in the earth. Our words are by the Spirit of God; therefore, they prevail in the lives of men and in the nations of the earth. Blessed be God! The Church will continue to reign gloriously, exercising dominion over the adversary and his works until the Rapture. Isaiah 9:7 says, “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the wisdom of your Word and the authority vested in your Church to enforce your will and establish your righteousness in the earth. Rhapsody of Realities June 25th 2025, YOU’RE A RECONCILER

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor) (2 Corinthians 5:19 AMPC). In Luke 19:10, the Lord Jesus said, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” He accomplished this mission and returned to heaven, but He entrusted us with the same responsibility. Just as the Father sent Him, He also sent us: “…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you” (John 20:21). Now, we’re the ones to seek and save the lost. This is our calling; we’re soul winners, reconciling men to God. In your city, think like this: “The son of man has come to seek and to save those who are lost.” Everywhere you go, you arrive with this purpose. Whether on a bus, in an airplane, or in a marketplace, you’re there to seek and save the lost—to bring salvation to someone who needs it. This is your mission. In 2 Corinthians 5:19, the Scripture says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” This is powerful! God, the Chief Reconciler, was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. But He continues this work through you. Today, God is in you, reconciling the world to Himself. And like Him, we don’t count people’s trespasses against them. We’re imitators of God; we copy Him as well-beloved children imitate their father (Ephesians 5:1-2). Furthermore, He has committed to us the word or message of reconciliation. Therefore, keep proclaiming the Good News of salvation, bringing men and women out of darkness into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the ministry of reconciliation; I walk in this calling, seeking and saving the lost, just as the Lord Jesus did. I walk in love and refuse to count offences against others. I am your vessel, bringing your message of reconciliation to all I encounter, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities June 24th 2025, OUR JUSTIFICATION

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification (Romans 4:24-25). Did you know that when Jesus was raised from the dead, you were raised together with Him? He wasn’t raised alone. We were in Him. Ephesians 2:5-6 says God “…quickened us together with Christ…and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Notice that it says “God quickened us together with Christ”; that means we came alive with Christ. Just as we were in Him in His death on the Cross and when He was buried, we were also in Him when He was raised back to life. When He was raised back to life, He was born again; He was a new man. We, therefore, being raised together with Him, came alive as new creations in Christ Jesus: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). You’re not the man that was condemned in sin; you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus. Now you can understand why you’re justified by faith; why you’re declared not guilty. It’s not because Jesus died for you; that’s the legal aspect of justification. Our justification didn’t come because He died for us. His death for us was enough to set us free, but that’s not justification. Justification is about acquittal; you’re acquitted because you’re a new creature, without a past. Therefore, our justification is the result of the life of Christ in us. That’s the life of the new creation; it’s without sin. It also helps you understand why the Bible says you’re to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4), putting on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). PRAYERDear Father, thank you for my justification in Christ Jesus. I live in the consciousness of my righteousness, free from guilt and condemnation. Being raised together with Christ, I reign in life as a new creation, unblemished and irreproachable in your sight. Your life in me is my confidence and assurance of a victorious, glorious and righteous walk, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
