Rhapsody of Realities August 11th 2025, LOVE SEES AND APPRECIATES TRUE VALUE

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (1 John 4:8). Some people interpret love according to feelings, emotions or outward appearance. But true love isn’t defined by human emotions or affections because love is the nature of God. Therefore, it’s only when you see through the eyes of God that you can truly recognize and appreciate the true value of others. That was what happened when God gave Jesus for the salvation of humanity. He saw our true value. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). He didn’t love the world of things, buildings, or nature; He loved the world of men despite their unbelief, mockery and wickedness. No wonder the Bible says in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” The Bible says “…God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them…” (2 Corinthians 5:19 NIV). That’s the same life and nature He’s given you; you’re to love others in spite of what they do or how they look. See and appreciate their true value. That’s what Jesus saw, and that’s what He’s raising us to understand and apply. If God would love the sinner so much, how much more should we love those who are in Christ with us? That’s why He says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34 NIV). He didn’t say “Love one another, as long as they’re lovable.” You’re to love even those who don’t reciprocate your love. Their rejection shouldn’t stop your love. This is the God-kind of love; it’s unconditional. It sees and appreciates the true value of others. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for your love that sees beyond outward appearances and actions. I see the true value of people, and I love them the way you do. I walk in this divine love, extending grace and kindness to all, just as you have loved me. Thank you for teaching me to love like you and bring many to the knowledge of your truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities August 10th 2025 ,BAPTISM—A TESTIMONY OF YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9). Some have asked if water baptism is enough to save a sinner. But from the Scriptures, it’s clear that salvation comes by believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord. Water baptism, while significant, doesn’t provide the remission of sins, but it’s a testimony of one’s faith in Christ. In 1 Peter 3:21 for example, the Bible talks about water baptism, not as the removal of the filth of the flesh but as the answer of a good conscience toward God: “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 3:21). The real cleansing from sin comes through the blood of Jesus Christ. Baptism is a public testimony of faith in what happened to Jesus—His death, burial, and resurrection. When people are baptized in water, they symbolically identify with Christ’s death as they are immersed in water, and with His resurrection as they are brought out of the same water. This signifies their faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Water baptism, in itself, doesn’t bring salvation. A person can be baptized and still be lost if they have not been born again. The Bible makes it clear that salvation comes through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is an outward expression of that faith. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the gift of salvation through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I declare my faith in His death, burial and resurrection, and I live in the consciousness of this glorious truth. My life is a testimony of my union with Christ, and I walk daily in the victory of His resurrection, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities August 9th 2025, BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation (Mark 3:28-29). Some have asked, “God is love, and He forgives all our sins, how come He says anyone who sins against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven?” First, understand that the Lord Jesus addressed this warning to the Jews; they were the ones to whom the covenants and the Law were given. The Spirit of God had been revealed to them, and they had seen His works throughout the Old Testament. They were aware of the Holy Spirit’s role in creation, how He moved upon the waters in Genesis, and how He garnished the heavens. But despite this knowledge, when they saw Jesus perform miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, they accused Him of working by the power of Beelzebub. Therefore, the Master warned them that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven. The Holy Spirit is the One who leads a person into salvation, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and teaches and guides God’s people into all truth. Without the Holy Spirit, no one can come to God or believe in Him. Therefore, if someone blasphemes the Holy Spirit, they reject the very One who is meant to guide and lead them in the things of God. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit requires a deep knowledge of God’s Word and the things of the Spirit. It takes someone who knows who the Holy Spirit is to sin against the Holy Spirit. That’s why it’s rare to find someone who’s been a true Christian sin against the Holy Spirit. It’s very rare because to do that is to intentionally disdain the Spirit of grace. The Bible explains this further in Hebrews 10:28-29: “He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” It further shows that it’s not just any person who can do this but one with full knowledge of the truth, yet chooses to despise and disparage the Spirit of Truth. PRAYER*Dear Father, thank you for the precious Holy Spirit who convicts, teaches and guides me into all truth. I acknowledge and honour His work in my life and around the world, yielding myself fully to His guidance and blessings. I walk in wisdom and understanding, continually growing in the knowledge of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities August 8th 2025, OUR OPPORTUNITY IS NOW

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, because there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end (John 9:4 NLT). There’re Christians who mistakenly believe they will have more opportunities to serve the Lord after the Rapture, but this notion is incorrect. According to the Scriptures, the Millennial Kingdom, or the 1,000 years of peace, is not primarily about us. It’s a period ordained by God for Israel. God promised them that time of peace, and they’ll indeed receive it. The Jewish calendar, suspended for 2,000 years, will resume for a final seven-year period leading into the Millennial reign. Following this, Jesus will return from heaven and set up His headquarters in Jerusalem, reigning not only as King of the Jews, but as King over the entire world. David will also return to reign over Israel, while Jesus reigns over the world. We’ll be with Jesus, reigning with Him, ensuring everything runs smoothly. So, our ministry does not operate during the millennium; instead, our service at that time would be to the Lord Jesus Christ. Our role throughout the millennium will be to perform angelic duties. The ministers during the Millennial Kingdom will predominantly be the Jews who’d be fulfilling prophecies and promises made to their nation, much as we have done over the past 2,000 years. While with Jesus, carrying out angelic functions, it’ll be a magnificent time in preparation for the great judgment, where we would even judge angels. Afterwards, we will move into the holy city and inhabit the new earth. Glory be to God! This is why we must attach a sense of urgency and responsibility to fulfilling our calling here on earth. This is our window of opportunity to carry out our divine ministry. After the trumpet sounds and we’re caught up from here to meet the Lord in the air as the Bible reveals in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, the earthly opportunities for ministry and service will come to an end. I urge you today to be diligent and faithful in fulfilling your purpose and calling while you still have the opportunity. Think like Paul the apostle, who said, “If I proclaim the Message, it’s not to get something out of it for myself. I’m compelled to do it, and doomed if I don’t” (1 Corinthians 9:16 MSG). Prioritize your spiritual assignments, knowing that your actions today carry eternal significance and rewards. PRAYER*Dear Father, thank you for your grace at work in me to be diligent and faithful in leading souls to Christ. I’m convinced that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation; therefore, I’m committed to its spread around the world, taking advantage of the opportunity available now, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities August 7th 2025, THE GOSPEL TRANSFORMS LIVES

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…(Romans 1:16). When the Gospel of Jesus Christ is ministered and people truly believe, it produces a transformation in their lives. If, for example, someone who’s been wayward genuinely receives the Gospel, that’ll be the end of the wayward lifestyle. However, there’s the renewing of the mind that must take place. The same goes for someone who was a thief but has received Christ. The person will be transformed. Ephesians 4:28 says, “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.” Likewise, if a lady used to engage in prostitution but she is now born again, her body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit, meaning she can’t continue in that life because she now belongs to God and must glorify God in her body and in her spirit. She must now find a decent job as we read in Ephesians 4:28. She has to work with her hands that which is good, because prostitution is not good. Furthermore, such people must be reminded of what happened when they gave their lives to Christ; they were washed, sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11). This is why it’s important to preach the true Gospel: it brings people out of darkness into light, into the liberty of the sons of God. It changes people. It lifts them. It delivers them. So, they need to constantly be reminded of this and be taught and encouraged to study the Word of God for themselves and listen to messages that’ll further inform, enlighten and educate their spirits about righteousness and their new life in Christ. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the power of the Gospel that transforms lives and delivers men and women from darkness into your marvellous light. Rhapsody of Realities August 6th 2025, FOCUS ON THOSE WHO EMBRACE YOUR MESSAGE

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy (Romans 11:11). In winning souls, you’ll surely encounter some people who’d be hostile and reject your message or invitation for them to come to church. Whenever that happens, don’t be discouraged. If they reject your message and your invitation, focus on reaching other people. Shift your focus to those who embrace your message. Consider how God dealt with the world. Jesus first took the message to the Jews because they were His people. He came from among them and brought them the message of the Kingdom, but they rejected Him. John 1:11 (NIV) says, “He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.” So, what did He do? He took the message to the Gentiles and to the whole world, and to this day, many are still receiving it. Praise God! The same happened with the apostle Paul. He had previously persecuted those who believed in Jesus Christ, standing against the Gospel. When he gave his heart to the Lord, many of his fellow Jews wouldn’t listen to him. He was once their companion but when he became a Christian, they rejected him. Straightaway, Paul turned his attention to the Gentiles who happened to be the ones the Lord had originally sent him to (read Acts 26:16-18). Also, Acts 13 tells us about Paul and Barnabas’s missionary efforts in Antioch in Pisidia. They were initially welcomed in the synagogue, but later on, they faced strong opposition from jealous Jewish leaders. In response to their rejection, they boldly said, “…It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles” (Acts 13:46). You must never allow those who reject your message to determine the condition of your spirit or dampen your enthusiasm. Pray for them, intercede for them, but don’t let their rejection dissipate your passion to keep reaching others with the Gospel. As you succeed in winning others, one day, they’ll be provoked and inspired to believe, just as the Bible says the Jews would be provoked by the salvation of the Gentiles and as a nation, they’ll eventually believe in Jesus Christ. Stay focused; keep reaching out, and trust in the power of the Gospel. CONFESSIONI fix my gaze on God’s calling and continue to reach out with the Gospel, knowing that it’s the power of God unto salvation to them that believe. By His grace and the power of the Holy Spirit, I’m leading many to righteousness, and their hearts are turned to Christ. I’m indeed a light to the world. Hallelujah! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19). The words of Jesus in this verse are quite profound. He commands us to “teach all nations,” which means to make students of the nations, to disciple them, to instruct and train them in the ways of the Kingdom. This is a divine mandate. You’re a leader, assigned to reveal the righteousness of God and show the world how to live. You’re God’s champion, sent to change lives. Hallelujah! When you received the Holy Spirit, He made you a champion. Therefore, your life is meant to be impactful and full of divine exploits. You’re a hero of the Gospel, a living witness of God’s greatness. This is your moment for protagonism. Each day, for you, should be filled with testimonies that demonstrate the power of God that’s at work in you. That’s the life of a soul winner—a thrilling adventure of divine exploits that keeps heaven’s angels captivated. The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 4:9, “…For we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.” Think about that; you’re a marvel to the angels. 1 Peter 1:12 says they (the angels) are delighted and desire to look into these things. They’re watching you, observing your faith-filled actions, amazed at the demonstration of God’s power in your life. They marvel at the authority you exercise in Christ and the impact you make in your world. When you step out in faith, when you declare God’s Word, when you heal the sick, cast out devils, and, most importantly, when you lead someone to Christ, the angels are excited. Knowing this therefore, be purpose-driven. You’re on a divine stage, and the audience includes both men and angels. Live each day fulfilling God’s call on your life. PRAYERDear Father, I embrace my divine calling to live a life full of exploits and supernatural manifestations. Today is filled with testimonies that excite heaven. I’m a spectacle to the angels, demonstrating your power and righteousness to my world. Thank you for making my life a wonder and an inspiration, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities August 4th 2025, THE GREATEST NEWS OF THE GOSPEL

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive (1 Corinthians 15:21-22). Did you know that when Jesus died on the Cross, the whole world was on that cross with Him? Every human being was crucified in Him because He was the Saviour of the world. He took the place of every sinner, every human being who lives or has ever lived. Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Adam was the first man, and through his disobedience, sin entered the world. As a result, spiritual death, which is separation from God, passed upon all men. From Adam, sin spread to humanity, affecting everyone born into this world. But Jesus was crucified in our behalf. His crucifixion meant that every human being was crucified in Him because He took their place. That’s why we must tell everyone that their sins have already been paid for in Jesus Christ. The price was settled in His death. However, paying for sin only saved humanity from its punishment; it didn’t save man from the life of sin. Christ’s death settled the charges against you, which is vital, but it didn’t reconcile you to God. The great news of the Gospel is not just that Jesus died. Of course, His death was fundamental, but the more glorious part is His resurrection. Without the resurrection, there would be no eternal life and no righteousness. The true message of salvation is based on the resurrection of Jesus. That’s where Christianity comes from. That’s where our life is from: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Christianity is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. It’s the celebration of the life of victory, righteousness, faith, hope and love in Christ Jesus. Glory to God! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. Through His death, the charges against me were settled, and through His resurrection, I have eternal life. I walk in the reality of this divine life, free from sin and its dominion. I celebrate the victory of Christ in me, living in righteousness, power, and dominion today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY‭‭‭Romans 4:23-25 KJV‬Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; ‭25 who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. ‭‭‭2 Corinthians 5:19-21 KJV‬to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. ‭‭‭Romans 6:3-4 KJV‬Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: I have all things that pertain to life and godliness. I walk in divine health and prosperity, and function from a vantage position of victory and unending success in Christ. I flourish exceedingly every day, everywhere, and at all times. I have been conditioned to live a life of glory. Continually, situations and circumstances align to God’s perfect will for me. I am divinely connected to the One who is the way, the truth, and the life. The Word of God is life to me and health to my flesh. Eternal life is working in me, radiating to all in my world. I operate from the mountaintop, from the realm of limitless possibilities and unending victories. I am in control and in charge of what happens to my body, thus, I only give expression to the workings of the Holy Spirit in my life and in my body. I keep myself in health as I consciously recognize that the Word of God is pure medicine. I meditate on the Word, day and night; thus, I function daily in prosperity, good success, and sound health. I am a well-watered garden. Streams of healing waters flow from me to all in my world. I don’t contract or transmit sickness. The good life is mine. Health is mine. Jesus suffered the shame of dying on the cross so that I may live the life of glory, honor, dignity, and excellence. My body is invigorated by the Spirit of God who lives in me. I give thanks to God for He has made me superior to Satan, his demons, sickness, disease, and infirmity. My mind is not limited or defeated by the circumstances of life because it is inundated with the light of God’s Word. I walk in the consciousness that I’m in oneness with Jesus Christ. I have the life of Christ. That life makes me indestructible and impervious to sickness. Everywhere I go, I influence my world with the healing power of God. Because of me, God’s Spirit is manifested in the world. The Lord God is mighty in me. He has blessed me with everlasting life; a life of grace, truth, and agelessness. My life

Rhapsody of Realities August 3rd 2025, WISDOM IS GREATER THAN INTELLIGENCE

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it (Proverbs 8:11). Satan and his demons are very intelligent, but they’re not wise. There’s a huge difference between intelligence and wisdom. When you’re intelligent, you have a high-powered reasoning faculty. You’re smart. You can think in a flash; you’re calculative and analytical, and your brain works smart. But wisdom is different. Wisdom is a revelation; it’s got nothing to do with your brain. Wisdom is insight into reality. Being born again, Christ is your wisdom: “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom…” (1 Corinthians 1:30). You don’t function with mere human intelligence but with divine wisdom. Intelligence, at its best, is grossly limited. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 says, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Did you see that? Satan and his princes don’t know everything. They don’t know everything about you or your future. Satan may be able to observe and interpret patterns in human behaviour, but he doesn’t have insight into realities. He doesn’t possess the ability to foresee your every move unless you reveal it to him through your words or actions. By walking in divine wisdom, you can navigate your life in a way that blindsides Satan and his demons, keeping you secure and firmly rooted in God’s purpose. So, refuse to live by the intelligence, systems, structures, and economics of this world. Choose to walk in wisdom. Meditate on the Word and listen to the Holy Spirit within you, for the Word of God is the wisdom of God, and Christ is your wisdom. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for granting me divine wisdom, insight into realities. I’m filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I walk in victory and divine insight today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY:James 1:5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Colossians 1:9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 NKJVHowever, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. I have the life of Christ at work in my spirit, soul, and body. God’s Word is the light of my life. No darkness, misery, infirmity, or pain is associated with me. I am strong in faith, giving glory to God at all times! No sickness, disease, or infirmity can thrive in my body because I am joined to the Lord, and I am one Spirit with Him. God loves me personally. I’m His peculiar treasure; my value to Him is the value of Jesus. I think, talk, walk, and live as someone special, for indeed I am someone special. I have the same life that Jesus has, in its fullness. My life is sickness-proof, disease-proof, poverty-proof and failure-proof. It’s a life of glory, victory, success and excellence. Nigerian Anglican Church Opposes Appointment of Lesbian Archbishop in Wales

…Says move contradicts biblical doctrine, warns of deepening spiritual crisis ABUJA, Nigeria – The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has issued a stern rebuke against the recent appointment of Rt. Rev. Cherry Vann, a declared lesbian, as the new Archbishop of Wales. The Nigerian Anglican leadership labeled the development as a “major deviation from scriptural truth” and expressed grave concerns about the unity and doctrinal integrity of the global Anglican Church. In a formal statement released by the Primate, The Most Rev’d Henry Ndukuba, the Church described the election as a symbol of “spiritual corruption” and a departure from “the faith handed down to the saints.” This strong stance further highlights the widening rift within the Anglican Communion regarding theological beliefs, authority of scripture, and matters related to human sexuality. Archbishop Ndukuba cautioned that the appointment of Bishop Vann threatens the credibility and missionary effectiveness of the Anglican Church across the world. He drew a comparison to the earlier tenure of Most Rev. Katherine Jefferts Schori, the former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the U.S. (2006–2015), who also drew sharp criticism from conservative circles due to her progressive stances. According to Ndukuba, Bishop Vann is now an active participant in the “crisis of doctrine” plaguing the Anglican Church regarding same-sex relationships. He cited 2 Timothy 4:3–4 to support his warning, saying the development reveals that “many self-identified Christians can no longer endure sound teachings.” He emphasized that if the Church in Wales fails to repent and realign itself with biblical truth, it faces the risk of becoming spiritually irrelevant. The statement urged believers across the Anglican world to dissociate from what the Nigerian Church referred to as “apostates and spiritual rebels” and to stand firm with conservative Anglican groups such as the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), which uphold traditional scriptural authority. “The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) categorically rejects and refuses to acknowledge the appointment of Rt. Rev. Cherry Vann as Archbishop of Wales,” Ndukuba asserted. He concluded by reaffirming faith in the authority of Christ over His Church: “We believe our Lord Jesus Christ will build His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. We must keep these erring churches in our prayers, reminding them that genuine repentance and holiness are the only hope. Without this, the Church in Wales will lose all spiritual relevance, and compromised leaders will not escape divine judgment.”

Apostolic Church Leader Cautions Pastors Against Practices That Tarnish God’s Glory

Gabriel Okpako Uyeh, who currently serves as the Territorial Chairman of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (LAWNA), has issued a solemn warning to pastors under the ministry. He urged them to distance themselves from any conduct that undermines the sacred mission of the church or brings disrepute to God’s name. This strong admonition was delivered during the church’s Annual Ministers’ Conference and Convention, held at the LAWNA Convention Ground in Olorunda, located along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. The event carried a powerful theme: “Who is on the Lord’s Side?”, urging introspection and spiritual alignment. ? A Call for Integrity and Spiritual Revival During his address to the clergy, Uyeh emphasized that a true spiritual revival in the church is impossible unless the very ministers whom God intends to use have genuinely chosen the Lord’s side. Without this, the church risks perpetuating the very problems it seeks to eliminate. He urged the ministers to reflect deeply on their personal relationship with God, stressing that their stance must be firmly aligned with Christ before the close of the conference. “Dear co-labourers in the Lord’s vineyard, the word of the Master to us at this crucial time is a million-dollar question for each minister to ask themselves,” Uyeh said, challenging them to examine their hearts sincerely. ? Challenging Questions for Spiritual Self-Examination Reinforcing the message of personal accountability, Uyeh noted that the revival many churches are praying for may not happen until ministers undergo genuine spiritual cleansing. He reminded them that Christ’s return could occur at any moment, making it vital for pastors to honestly assess where they stand. He posed these questions to inspire deep personal reflection: These questions, according to Uyeh, must be sincerely answered by every minister who desires to be used by God to ignite lasting revival in the church.

Bishop Stephen Mamza of Yola Appointed as First Vice President of SECAM in Historic Election

In a significant development for the Catholic Church in Africa, Most Reverend Stephen Dami Mamza, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese in Adamawa State, Nigeria, has been elected as the First Vice President of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM). His election marks a historic milestone, as it is the first time a Nigerian bishop from Yola has assumed such a prestigious continental role within the Church’s hierarchy. Bishop Mamza, who previously served as the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Adamawa State, was chosen during the 20th Plenary Assembly of SECAM, held in Kigali, Rwanda. The high-level gathering brought together Catholic bishops from across Africa and Madagascar to reflect on the future of the Church, its mission, and its strategic spiritual direction. New SECAM Leadership Structure During the same plenary session, Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo, a Congolese prelate and the Archbishop of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, was elected as the new President of SECAM. In addition, Most Reverend José Manuel Imbamba, the Bishop of Dundo in Angola, emerged as the Second Vice President. In other key appointments: Warm Reception in Yola Diocese Bishop Mamza’s election as First Vice President of SECAM was met with heartfelt joy, celebration, and spiritual pride among members of the Yola Catholic Diocese. Both clergy and lay faithful expressed their congratulations, describing his new role as well-deserved and timely. Parishioners and religious leaders within the diocese commended Bishop Mamza’s unwavering dedication to ecclesiastical service, pastoral care, and leadership across both local and national levels. They also voiced optimism that he will thrive in his new assignment and bring further spiritual and administrative growth to the Church across Africa. This elevation is seen as a testament to Bishop Mamza’s outstanding contributions to Christian unity, his advocacy for peace, and his role in community development, especially in a region historically challenged by insecurity and humanitarian concerns.

Rhapsody of Realities August 2nd 2025, A LESSON FROM EPAPHRAS

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God (Colossians 4:12). Epaphras wasn’t a pastor, prophet, apostle, or deacon; yet he had this remarkable testimony as one who always laboured fervently in prayers for the saints. The phrase “labouring fervently” is translated from the Greek word “agōnizomai,” which means to strive, struggle, or contend, particularly in the face of opposition. This is the same word used in 1 Timothy 6:12, which says, “Fight the good fight of faith….” It gives us an idea about prayer as a warfare, a fight. Epaphras was “fighting” in the spirit, contending for the saints to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. This kind of prayer is intense and unwavering. It’s not about asking God for material things but standing in the gap for others, ensuring they remain firm in God’s purpose for their lives. Have you ever prayed like that? Have you fought in prayers for Christians in your church, your city and your nation? You can’t be a true soul winner without this kind of dedication in prayer. It requires persistence, fervency and deep passion. This is where the evangelicals of old got the expression “prayer warriors” from; this kind of prayer is a battle for the souls of men. Like Epaphras, be that “warrior” in prayer who ensures that others stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Even right now, pray earnestly for fellow Christians in your church, city, and around the world, especially those facing trials, opposition, or struggles in their walk of faith; that they may be strengthened with might by God’s Spirit in their inner man. Declare that they are rooted and established in God’s truth, unwavering in their commitment to the Gospel, and empowered to rise above every difficulty as they walk in victory, faith, and boldness. If you pray for them this way, consistently, they’ll surely stand firm and immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, I pray right now for Christians around the world, especially those who are facing challenges and persecutions as a result of their faith in Christ; they stand perfect and complete in all your will, and their love for you grows stronger by the day. Their convictions remain unshaken, and they fulfil their divine destiny with joy and perseverance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY‭‭Colossians 4:12-13 AMPCEpaphras, who is one of yourselves, a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. [He is] always striving for you earnestly in his prayers, [pleading] that you may [as persons of ripe character and clear conviction] stand firm and mature [in spiritual growth], convinced and fully assured in everything willed by God. 13 For I bear him testimony that he has labored hard in your behalf and for [the believers] in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 KJV‬I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. James 5:16 AMPCConfess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart].
