West Bromwich Albion’s head coach, Ryan Mason, has delivered encouraging news regarding Nigerian striker Josh Maja’s fitness status, according to a report by LMSINT MEDIA.

The talented forward had been sidelined since undergoing surgery back in January, following a calf injury sustained while representing the Baggies. This injury had unfortunately ruled him out for the rest of the previous campaign, dealing a significant blow to Albion’s attacking options.

However, there is renewed hope for Maja’s return, as he has been actively stepping up his rehabilitation program in recent weeks, with preparations in full swing ahead of the upcoming season.

Ryan Mason, speaking at a recent press briefing, confirmed the 25-year-old’s impressive progress on the road to recovery, expressing optimism that the forward will regain full match fitness in time for the start of the new Championship season.

“He’s in a good place,” Mason stated confidently while addressing the media. “He’s progressing well, and we’re happy with where he is at.”

Before his injury setback, Maja had made a notable impact, scoring 12 goals across 26 league matches for West Bromwich Albion during the last campaign. His anticipated return will undoubtedly be a significant boost for Albion as they aim for a strong promotion push.
