This price adjustment coincides with the federal government’s declaration of a national public holiday to pay respect to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari. The former president passed away in London on Sunday, July 14th, 2025, and will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State. Abubakar Maigandi, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), confirmed this development in an exclusive interview with LMSINT MEDIA on Monday. He stated that the price reduction decision was reached after a strategic meeting of IPMAN members in Abuja on Monday. Maigandi explained that the move was prompted by Dangote Refinery’s recent adjustment of its ex-depot price, reducing it from N840 to N820 per litre. This refinery, noted as Africa’s largest, has now lowered the fuel price twice in July 2025 alone. As a result, IPMAN members have committed to lowering their pump prices beginning today. Specifically, petrol will now be sold in Abuja between N900 and N920 per litre, a reduction from the previous rates of N905 to N945 per litre. In Maigandi’s words: “We convened on Tuesday and collectively agreed to cut the petrol price to between N900 and N920 per litre for our Abuja and north-central zone members. When we say Jesus Christ is deity, we’re affirming that He is God. This claim is significant, especially when you consider that many around the world view Jesus merely as a prophet or a great teacher. While it may seem respectful for some to call Him a great prophet or a remarkable teacher, these assertions fall far short of His true identity. That’s the reason it’s important to understand who He really is by first examining the miracle of His birth. The Bible describes His birth as extraordinary, something that had never occurred in all of history. Matthew 1:18 says, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” Mary’s conception was a miracle. Before she and Joseph were married or had come together, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Ghost. Joseph, described as a just man and unaware that God was behind it all, intended to quietly end their engagement to avoid bringing disgrace upon her. But as he pondered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him and explained that the conception was not of man but of God (Matthew 1:20). The angel also instructed Joseph to name the child Jesus, stating, “…for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). What makes this account even more remarkable is that it was a fulfilment of prophecy. The Bible says, “Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:22-23).
