Artists Accusing Peers of Using Streaming Farms: Odumodublvck Pushes Back

Rapper Odumodublvck has responded to recent murmurs in the music community about streaming farms, taking a dismissive stance toward colleagues who have leveled such accusations. According to him, the repeated invocation of stream manipulation by some fellow artists is less about exposing fraud and more about masking their own underperformance in metrics.

He contends that when a song truly resonates with listeners—when it is genuinely strong and embraced by the public—artificial tactics like streaming farms become irrelevant in determining its visibility or impact on charts. In his view, authenticity and audience affection eventually surface, regardless of attempts to explain away mediocre streaming numbers with claims of manipulation.

Furthermore, Odumodublvck suggested that the artists leading the charge on these allegations are driven by internal doubts about their own work. He characterized their behavior as rooted in insecurity: preemptively rationalizing potential failure by sowing doubt about the legitimacy of others’ success. In a message posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he addressed the general public directly, urging them not to be misled.

His post read in part:

The timing of Odumodublvck’s statement comes amid growing public discussion from other prominent Nigerian artists—specifically Blaqbonez and Magixx—who have voiced deep concerns that streaming farms are inflicting what they describe as “irreversible damage” on the local music ecosystem. Their position frames artificial stream inflation as a systemic threat, whereas Odumodublvck frames the emphasis on it as a smokescreen for personal shortcomings. The differing perspectives have intensified the debate over authenticity, metrics, and reputation in the Nigerian music scene.
