Zambia’s Copper Queens head coach, Nora Häuptle, has admitted that Nigeria’s Super Falcons were superior in their quarter-final clash, reports LMSINT MEDIA.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria delivered an emphatic 5-0 victory over Zambia at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Friday, during the ongoing WAFCON 2024 tournament.
Despite Zambia’s strong football reputation, the Copper Queens appeared overwhelmed and displayed a lackluster performance throughout the match.
The Nigerian team further extended their lead in the second half, courtesy of Tosin Demehin and Folashade Ijamilusi, sealing the 5-0 demolition.
“It was a very clear defeat for us. Congratulations to Nigeria on a well-deserved win. We must acknowledge that today, Nigeria was the better team,” Häuptle stated.
