Tragic Accident Claims Lives Of Lokoja Varsity And Kogi Poly Students

In a heartbreaking incident on Friday morning, two female students—one from the Federal University, Lokoja, and the other from Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja—tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Lokoja, Kogi State.

According to reports, the accident occurred along the Felele axis, a busy section of the state capital that connects to Abuja. A heavily loaded articulated vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed into a tricycle (popularly known as Keke NAPEP) carrying passengers to the main town.

Among the passengers were the two students, whose identities were confirmed through their school ID cards. Unfortunately, both students succumbed to the impact, while two other passengers sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent care.

This incident has left the community in deep sorrow as students, families, and residents mourn the untimely loss of two promising lives.
