President Bola Tinubu Extends Condolences to Jimi and Segun Agbaje on Mother’s Passing

President Bola Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to Jimi and Segun Agbaje, along with the entire Agbaje family, following the passing of their mother, Mrs. Margaret Agbaje, on March 5, 2024.

The message of condolence was conveyed through a statement released by Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday in Abuja.

Margaret Agbaje’s Remarkable Contributions to Education

Tinubu hailed Mrs. Agbaje as a distinguished educator, a respected community leader, and a former President of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) for the Lagos Ecclesiastical Province.

He acknowledged her lifelong commitment to education, highlighting her tenure as a mathematics teacher at Holy Child College, Lagos (1953–1959), her service at St. Joseph’s Teacher Training College, Surulere (1960–1971), and her leadership as Headmistress of St. Catherine’s Model School, Surulere (1971–1982). Her profound influence on her students left an enduring legacy in the academic sector.

President Tinubu recognized Mrs. Agbaje’s impact beyond education, noting her pivotal role in the Catholic Church. She was a dedicated servant within the faith community, excelling in her tenure as CWO President and holding various leadership roles within the church.

Her unwavering dedication to mentoring and guiding young minds was lauded by Tinubu, who emphasized that her legacy thrives in the numerous individuals she inspired, including her children and many professionals across different fields.
