In his statement, the President lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for organizing smooth and largely violence-free elections, describing the exercise as a positive step in strengthening Nigeria’s democratic system.
President Tinubu specifically congratulated the new APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on what he described as a significant milestone and the first emphatic victory achieved under his leadership.
The President further praised APC governors and other stakeholders of the ruling party for their roles in ensuring the success of the by-elections.
“Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda has already displayed strong leadership qualities and proven what can be achieved when competent candidates are presented, combined with unity of purpose among party leaders,” Tinubu stated.
He went on to express gratitude to APC supporters and the Nigerian electorate at large, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda.
In his closing remarks, President Tinubu commended all political parties and candidates who participated in the elections. He urged them to embrace the principles of sportsmanship, fair competition, and magnanimity, noting that these values are the true foundation of a sustainable and vibrant democracy.
