Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV). Just because certain people have chosen a particular kind of Christianity that’s not based on the Scriptures and have decided that it represents Christianity, doesn’t mean that what they are practicing is Christianity at all. True Christianity is based on the Bible—the Word of God. Our opening scripture says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Every Christian believes, accepts, confesses, endorses and proclaims that the Bible is absolutely true and it’s the final arbiter concerning everything in life. Otherwise, such a person isn’t a Christian. Also, the Christian accepts that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that means He’s God in the flesh: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). Plus that, the Christian acknowledges that Jesus died as our Saviour: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The Christian confesses that Jesus was raised from the dead and professes that He is alive today: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). Revelation 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” So it makes no difference for how long you’ve professed to be a Christian or the title by which you’re addressed; if you don’t accept, believe, and confess these truths, you’re not a Christian according to the Bible. This is the beginning of the definition of who a Christian is. Why is this so important? It’s because the transcendent life in Christ that the Bible talks about is only available to those who believe. Believing involves two essential components: accepting the truthfulness of something and confessing it, while acting accordingly. Without these, belief is incomplete. Praise God. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the light of your Word that defines and directs my life. I believe, accept, confess, and proclaim the absolute truth of the Scriptures. I boldly affirm that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, died as my Saviour, was raised from the dead, and now, lives in my heart by His Spirit. I live by these truths, walking in the full blessings of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY|| Romans 10:8-10But what saith it? Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). When you pray and ask God for things, His ultimate purpose is not to give you material possessions such as houses, cars, or money; His focus is His Word in your spirit. As you grow in the knowledge of God, you’ll discover that everything you desire has already been granted you in His Word. He already said in 2 Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” This understanding will transform your prayer life and the content of your prayers. Instead of focusing on asking for things, your prayer times become moments of fellowship with God because you don’t have the consciousness of need. We have to emulate the way our Lord Jesus lived when He walked the earth. He had no consciousness of lack. What a glorious way to live, when you know that everything you need flows from your union with Him! The Bible says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). This means you’ve been brought into a divine partnership, a family union with Jesus Christ. If this is true (and thank God it is), what could you ever lack? God has already provided everything you’ll ever need for life and godliness through His Word. The key is to have the Word of God dwelling in you richly. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things…” (Matthew 12:35). Then Paul said, “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:7). This treasure is the Word of God stored in your heart, which has the power to produce or create anything and everything you need. That’s where the house, car, spouse, children and every other blessing come from—the Word of God in you! When you’re full of the Word, you carry within you everything you need for health, success, prosperity and victory in this world. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly….” So, meditate on the Word; confess it and let it shape your thinking. Hallelujah! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14). Our opening scripture talks about the natural man. Who is the natural man? The natural man is the ordinary, everyday person who has never been born again. He may have grown up in a good neighbourhood and lived a decent life, but he remains disconnected from the life of God. The natural man has never been awakened to the Fatherhood of God. Ephesians 4:18 says, “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.” The natural man is someone whose only experience is his natural birth and who has grown up purely natural. As the Bible says, “…the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14). It brings to mind an incident from years ago involving the former Vice Chancellor of a certain University who suddenly collapsed at the airport, and, as it happened, the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa was nearby. According to newspaper reports the next day, they described that “audible sounds” from the Archbishop revived the Vice Chancellor. The press didn’t understand what had happened, so they called it “audible sounds.” What actually happened was that Archbishop Idahosa spoke in tongues loudly. The journalists, being unfamiliar with the spiritual context, could only describe it as “audible sounds.” But the man of God knew exactly what to do at that critical moment. He released what the natural man couldn’t understand and the hitherto incapacitated Vice Chancellor was revived! The things of God require spiritual discernment, but the natural man cannot discern them. They seem absurd or meaningless to him, being disconnected from the realities of God and the life of the Spirit. It’s the reason we keep preaching the Gospel. God wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). So, we must help them know the Lord. It doesn’t matter that the man or woman is an erudite professor, a great scientist, a skilled orator, a seasoned politician, or a medical doctor; as long as they’re not born again, they’re living the natural human life. And Jesus said, “…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). So help those around you, who have never been born again, to know the Lord and bring them into salvation. Hallelujah PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the blessing of the New Birth that makes me a spiritual man. I walk in the light of your Word and live by the discernment of the Spirit. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2). When Jesus prayed on the Mount of Transfiguration, the Bible says His countenance and His clothes shimmered with glory (Matthew 17:2, Mark 9:3, Luke 9:29). The glory that radiated through Him wasn’t a one-time occurrence; it was something that happened every day in the spirit. However, on that occasion, their eyes were opened to witness it. In the same way, the glory of God resides within us. We don’t always see it outwardly, but it’s there, and on some occasions, others may perceive it. This, for instance, happened only once in the short ministry of Stephen. In Acts 6, Stephen was described as a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, performing great wonders and signs among the people. He was brought before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish council) after being accused of blasphemy against Moses and God. When he stood before the council to defend himself, the Bible says, “All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel” (Acts 6:15 NIV). They beheld the glory on the face of Stephen. This glory isn’t just on you today but inside you, and it’s described as the more excellent glory—“the glory that excelleth”: “For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth” (2 Corinthians 3:9-10). Every time you pray in tongues, this glory in you is activated. I’m not talking about the brief, casual, praying in tongues that some people do. I’m talking about when you pray in tongues deeply and passionately from and with your spirit. This is intense, where you give yourself fully to prayer. At such moments, the currents of divine power that’ll surge from your spirit through your physical body will be almost immediate. Practise this. Consistently give yourself to praying in tongues with a reverent and yielded heart, and you’ll experience divine vitality and strength. This is God’s plan for your life, so take it seriously. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the power of praying in tongues. I yield my heart and spirit to you as I pray, allowing your glory to surge and radiate through me. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14). In several instances, the Lord Jesus declared Himself to be the light of the world. In John 8:12, the Bible says, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”In John 9:5 He said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Also, in John 12:46, He said, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” These are profound statements. Nobody ever talked like Jesus. However, today, we can talk like Him because the Bible says, “…as He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). He made us the light of the world—luminous and lambent—so, light up your world. Satan may prowl or roam around like a roaring lion, but he can’t run things because he’s darkness and you’re light. Light dispels darkness. Hallelujah! This helps us to better appreciate the Master’s powerful instruction in Matthew 5:16; He said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Here, Jesus emphasized letting your light shine so brightly until others are inspired to glorify God because of you. Every day, glow with such radiance, brilliance and intensity that your life becomes a testament to God’s glory. In other words, make an impact with your life. It makes no difference that you were born in a hamlet or in the palace; now that you’re here, illuminate the world and showcase the Father’s good works. What are these “good works”? They are the works or acts of God; the supernatural and the miraculous. You’re His voice and His hands to reach and bless others. The recent declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has triggered intense reactions across Nigeria. Various stakeholders, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), legal analysts, political figures, and groups such as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Ijaw Youths, have expressed divergent opinions. While many have criticized the move, others see it as a strategic intervention in the unfolding political turmoil. Hon. Obidike Chukwuebuka, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised President Tinubu’s decision, stating that Governor Siminalayi Fubara should be grateful for the intervention. According to Obidike, Tinubu’s move effectively prevented an imminent impeachment that could have led to Fubara’s removal from office. In a statement shared with Vanguard on Wednesday, Obidike highlighted Section 305 of the 1999 Constitution, which empowers the President to declare a state of emergency, thereby suspending the authority of the Governor, Deputy Governor, and other state government structures. He argued that this legal provision granted Tinubu the authority to stabilize Rivers State’s governance during the crisis. Although reports of an impeachment plot against Governor Fubara remain unverified, Tinubu’s intervention has undoubtedly reshaped the state’s political dynamics. His efforts to foster peace and cooperation were further demonstrated in a recent high-level meeting involving Fubara and key stakeholders. The President reportedly emphasized the need for unity and political stability to ensure effective governance in Rivers State. “As developments continue to unfold, it is evident that Governor Fubara’s political trajectory is closely linked to President Tinubu’s influence,” Obidike remarked, suggesting that the intervention could have long-term ramifications for the state’s governance. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). What kind of words come out of your mouth? Are they words of love and grace, or words that pierce like a sword? The Bible says in Proverbs 12:18, “There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.” The latter is your life; your words are to bring healing to the bruised and mend the broken-hearted. Don’t utter words that destabilize others and rob them of their self-esteem. Support, uplift, bless and minister grace to others with your words. Your mouth is a tool given to you by God for edification, not for vengeful, hateful, or distasteful words that engender strife or contention. Take a cue from Jesus; He always spoke uplifting, building, comforting, inspiring and soul-stirring words. Those who heard Him speak in Bible days couldn’t get enough of His words. Even the common people, according to the Bible, heard Him gladly (Mark 12:37). His words brought them relief, hope, faith and love. The Bible says in Ephesians 3:17-19, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” To be filled with God is to be filled with love because God is love. God’s love is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit but expressed through your words and actions. Therefore, be known for gracious and loving words. Everyone, including children, should be comfortable around you because they know that every word from you will build them up and improve their self-esteem. Your life should be a blessing to everyone. Make up your mind to be a source of peace and joy, reflecting Christ in everything you do. That doesn’t mean everyone will be happy with you. Even Jesus wasn’t accepted by everyone. Some opposed Him despite His goodness. But don’t let that change your focus. Let your actions and words minister grace, edify others, and demonstrate the love of Christ. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for filling my heart with your love and grace. I speak words that edify, inspire and build others. My life reflects your goodness and love. Economic Hardship Forcing Bus Drivers into Side Businesses The worsening economic situation in Nigeria has compelled many individuals to adopt unconventional ways to earn a living. Among those affected are commercial bus drivers, who now combine passenger transportation with selling provisions in their vehicles to supplement their income. Reports indicate that in various Nigerian cities, especially around academic institutions, many mini-bus drivers have converted their vehicles into makeshift provision stores. They display and sell a variety of items such as snacks, bread, sweets, chewing gum, and beverages, making these products easily accessible to students and commuters. Commercial Bus Drivers Offering More Than Just Transportation In addition to selling provisions, some of these drivers also offer Point of Sale (PoS) services. Many display their bank account details inside the bus, allowing passengers to conduct quick financial transactions on the go. One such driver, Mr. Emmanuel Uromu, shared his experience: “I operate in a student-populated environment where everyday essentials like milk, bread, and snacks are in high demand. Many students have tight schedules and find it difficult to go to the market, so I decided to create a small store inside my bus. Initially, passengers complained about discomfort, but I installed a small fan to improve ventilation. Over time, demand has grown, and I even get requests for items I don’t have in stock. This additional income has helped sustain my family.” Innovation Amid Economic Challenges Mrs. Elohor Edebor, a resident of Delta State, also confirmed witnessing this innovative business model. “When I visited Delta, I boarded a bus that doubled as a provision store. I was surprised by the ingenuity of the driver. I asked how he prevented theft, and he showed me a cage-like wire rack fixed to the roof, which was locked securely. It was an eye-opening experience, showing how people are adapting to economic difficulties without resorting to crime.” The Struggles of Commercial Drivers in Nigeria Another commercial driver, Mr. Omoniyi Abbey, highlighted the financial struggles that force bus operators to seek alternative income sources. “The cost of running a transport business in Nigeria is high. Tires—whether new or fairly used—are expensive. Spare parts have skyrocketed in price. We also have to pay daily remittances to bus owners and settle various garage levies at different bus stops. On top of that, law enforcement officers often extort money from us. These factors make commercial driving less lucrative, pushing some of us to seek additional means of survival.” A Reflection of Nigeria’s Economic Reality The transformation of public buses into provision shops highlights the resilience of Nigerians amid economic hardship. With increasing living costs and declining earnings, individuals are adopting creative strategies to sustain themselves and their families. This innovative approach by commercial drivers is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit ingrained in Nigerians—adapting to challenges and finding new ways to survive in difficult times. FG Calls for Full Integration of SDGs into Development Plans The Federal Government of Nigeria has reaffirmed the necessity of embedding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into all levels of development planning rather than treating them as isolated projects. Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs (SSAP-SDGs), emphasized this during the North-East Regional Consultation in Gombe. The event was part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2025 Voluntary National Review (VNR), set to be presented at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York in July 2025. Speaking through her Senior Technical Adviser, Dr. Bala Yunusa, she highlighted that the HLPF serves as a global assessment platform for tracking the 2030 Agenda. Nigeria, currently conducting its third VNR, is engaging stakeholders across all six geopolitical zones to assess progress, challenges, and strategies for advancing SDG implementation. A statement from her Special Assistant on Media and Strategic Communication, Desmond Utomwen, underscored the urgent need to accelerate progress on the SDGs. According to the 2024 UN Sustainable Development Goals Report: The slow progress in Nigeria has been attributed to financial constraints, lingering insecurity, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Strengthening Collaboration for SDG Acceleration Orelope-Adefulire called for stronger Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) systems, including SDG Progress Reports and the VNR, to track and enhance implementation efforts. She stressed the need for collaboration among key players, including government agencies, the UN Development System, donor organizations, academia, and civil society, to ensure no one is left behind. Referencing the Pact for the Future adopted at the 79th UN General Assembly, she reaffirmed the commitment of world leaders to bold and ambitious actions for achieving SDG targets. She also echoed UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ call for massive investments and strategic partnerships to drive transformations in critical sectors such as food security, energy access, and digital connectivity (source). Key Takeaways from the North-East Regional Consultation The consultation in Gombe gathered 150 participants from six states to discuss: Gombe State SDGs Focal Person, Engr. Sulaiman Turaki, described the event as a crucial platform for shaping Nigeria’s upcoming VNR. He encouraged stakeholders to actively contribute to ensure that the review reflects both achievements and ongoing challenges. “This consultation reaffirms our commitment to advancing sustainable, inclusive, and science-driven solutions for the 2030 Agenda,” Turaki stated. He urged participants to propose practical strategies for improving sustainable development efforts across the North-East region. With Nigeria actively engaging in multi-stakeholder dialogues and refining its approach to SDG implementation, the government’s emphasis on integrating these goals into long-term national and regional policies is expected to drive meaningful progress towards the 2030 Agenda. Mbappe Shines as Madrid Edges Villarreal 2-1 Real Madrid’s French forward, Kylian Mbappe, delivered a stunning performance, netting twice to help his team secure a 2-1 victory over Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica on March 15, 2025. With this crucial win, Los Blancos climbed three points clear of their closest rivals, Barcelona, who still have two games in hand and face a crucial clash against third-placed Atletico Madrid on Sunday. Madrid Overcomes Scheduling Concerns Despite their frustration over playing within 72 hours of their Champions League triumph over Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid managed to maintain their energy levels and claim victory against Villarreal, who currently sit in fifth place. Coach Carlo Ancelotti made a strategic decision to start without Vinicius Junior, opting to rest him following the physically demanding midweek fixture. Villarreal Strikes First, But Mbappe Responds Villarreal started the match with high intensity, forcing Madrid’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois into an early save from Ayoze Perez. The home side capitalized on their early pressure when Juan Foyth pounced on a rebounded ball and slotted it home to give Villarreal the lead. However, Real Madrid responded swiftly. Just 17 minutes into the match, Brahim Diaz’s attempted lob was parried by Villarreal’s Diego Conde, but Mbappe was quick to react, calmly converting the rebound to level the score. Shortly after, Mbappe completed his brace in style—initiating a build-up play, spreading the ball to the right, and finishing clinically from Lucas Vazquez’s cross. This marked his 20th goal of the La Liga season, putting him just one goal behind Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski in the top scorer race. Madrid Defends the Lead as Villarreal Pushes Back Real Madrid controlled the remainder of the first half, absorbing Villarreal’s pressure while Courtois remained sharp, denying Nicolas Pepe’s close-range attempt. At halftime, Villarreal’s coach Marcelino Garcia Toral made a tactical change, introducing Thierno Barry in place of Pepe in an attempt to revive his team’s attack and avoid their first home defeat to Madrid since 2017. Foyth nearly equalized early in the second half but misfired from a promising position. Ancelotti reinforced his side by bringing on Vinicius Junior and Luka Modric, helping Madrid regain control of the game. Although Fede Valverde tested Conde with a powerful shot, Villarreal’s closest chance came through Perez, whose well-executed turn and strike narrowly missed the target. Other La Liga Results In other fixtures, Mallorca secured a 2-1 win over Espanyol, with Vedat Muriqi converting a late penalty after earlier missing a spot-kick and scoring an own goal. Meanwhile, Celta Vigo defeated Valladolid 1-0, condemning the bottom-placed side to their 20th league loss of the season. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:22-25). Notice the very instructive thought in the beginning and latter part of our theme scripture. It says, be a doer of the Word, for it is the doer that gets blessed. That means practise the Word. You may preach and teach the Word, but be sure to be a doer of the Word that you preach and teach. Acting or practising the Word could be likened to a baby learning to walk. You may not perfect it overnight, but as you keep at it, it gets better. So don’t be discouraged if it seems like it didn’t work the first time. What you need to do is to learn some more, hear the Word more, build your faith more, and try again. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Faith is a process. If you don’t practise it, you’ll never see growth. It’s like learning to use a tool; faith requires practice; it needs to be used regularly to be effective. For example, in your health, the first thing is to know what the Word says. The Bible says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 1:2). Therefore, it’s clear: God’s plan for you is divine health! There should be no cancer, diabetes, or any such thing in your body. Grasp this truth and live by it, and if you experience any symptoms of sickness in your body, don’t panic. Use the Word! Keep declaring, “I have the life of God in me. I walk in divine health. No sickness, disease or infirmities can thrive in my body.” Hallelujah! Keep yourself in health with God’s Word; it’s medicine for your body (Proverbs 4:20-22). Do the same in your finances; keep practising the Word and exercising your faith. You may say, “But the other day, I declared in the Name of Jesus that I’m getting one million dollars and it didn’t happen.” Maybe you’re not yet at the level where your faith can work for one million dollars; howbeit, don’t give up. As long as you refuse to cower or stagger through unbelief, your faith will certainly prevail. Praise God! PRAYERDear Father, thank you for giving me your Word to live by. As I put my faith to work, it grows and prevails, causing me to live victoriously always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Marwa Hails Nigeria-France Collaboration, Says Support Will Strengthen NDLEA’s Operations The French government has recognized Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for its outstanding commitment to combating drug-related crimes, particularly in areas of arrests, prosecutions, and convictions. During a ceremony held at NDLEA’s headquarters in Abuja, French Ambassador to Nigeria, Marc Fonbaustier, officially handed over essential operational equipment to the agency’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd). This donation underscores France’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s ongoing war against illicit drug trafficking. France Acknowledges NDLEA’s Achievements Fonbaustier commended the NDLEA’s remarkable track record in law enforcement, citing significant milestones such as 57,792 arrests, the seizure of 9.9 million kilograms of illicit substances, and 10,572 convictions over the past four years. According to him, these successes position Nigeria as a crucial partner in global anti-narcotics initiatives. “Nigeria’s NDLEA is among the best in the world in combating illicit drug trade. Your operations—evident through high arrest rates, massive drug seizures, and successful prosecutions—demonstrate unparalleled efficiency. There is a lot we can learn from your expertise,” Fonbaustier stated. Strengthening Nigeria-France Cooperation Brig. Gen. Marwa expressed deep appreciation for France’s support, emphasizing the strong diplomatic and operational ties between the two nations. He highlighted that the donation aligns with Nigeria’s renewed commitment to eradicating drug abuse and trafficking, particularly following President Bola Tinubu’s recent state visit to France. “This equipment will significantly enhance NDLEA’s operational capabilities, reinforcing our fight against drug-related crimes. We are grateful for France’s unwavering support,” Marwa remarked. Additionally, Marwa reiterated NDLEA’s request for specialized training in cyber transactions and investigative techniques. He also sought further assistance for the Alternative Development Project, an initiative designed to help cannabis farmers transition to cultivating alternative, legal crops. France’s Ongoing Commitment to Nigeria’s Drug War France’s latest contribution to NDLEA signifies a growing international alliance in tackling the global drug menace. As Nigeria continues to implement stringent measures against drug-related crimes, partnerships like this are crucial for achieving long-term success. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Notice carefully the choice of words as inspired by the Spirit in the scripture above: Christ Jesus was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. This is much more than being made righteous; rather, it means that we’ve become the very expression of His righteousness. This is Christianity. This is the Gospel. We’re the expression of God’s goodness, His kindness, grace, wisdom, power and glory. We’re the expression of His personality; everything the Father is, and represents, is expressed in and through us. The Lord Jesus made a profound statement when He said, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9). In John 10:30, He also said, “I and my Father are one.” He expressed the will and nature of the Father. He’s described for us in Hebrews 1:3 as the express image of the Father, the facsimile, print-copy or profile of the Father, the ultimate icon of God. We’re exactly like Him. 1 John 4:17 says as He is, so are we in this world. Like Jesus, we’re the expression of the will and character of God. That’s one of the definitions of righteousness: it’s the expression of the will and nature of God. Therefore, having been made His righteousness, we have the ability to manifest and express the will and nature of the Father everywhere: in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. Blessed be God! PRAYERDear heavenly Father, I thank you for making Christ Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin for me, that I might become the expression of your righteousness, endowed with the ability to manifest and express your will and nature in all things. I unveil your goodness and excellence today, displaying your glory and power, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY|| Romans 3:21-22But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: || || Romans 5:17-18For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. || READ ALSO: DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: I have the wisdom of the just, which propels me to function in God’s perfect will.
