Sean “Diddy” Combs Declines Plea Deal in U.S. Federal Sex Trafficking Case

Renowned American entertainer and entrepreneur, Sean “Diddy” Combs, declined a proposed guilty plea arrangement from the U.S. government on Thursday in relation to his federal criminal case. Popularly known as P. Diddy, the music mogul could have potentially avoided a lengthy prison sentence by agreeing to the deal. However, when asked directly by Judge Arun Subramanian whether he was declining the prosecutors’ plea offer, Combs responded decisively, “Yes, I do, Your Honour.” Combs is now expected to proceed to trial, which is scheduled to begin on Monday with the initiation of jury selection. The charges he faces include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and prostitution. Prosecutors allege that he manipulated women into extended sexual sessions that he is said to have called “freak-offs.” Maurene Comey, serving as Assistant U.S. Attorney, explained that had Combs accepted the plea deal, it could have considerably lessened the sentence he might receive. If found guilty on all counts, the result could be equivalent to a life imprisonment. In his court appearance, Combs wore a beige detention outfit. He appeared composed, smiling, embracing his defense team, and sharing a fist bump with one of his lawyers, Teny Geragos. During the brief proceedings, Geragos expressed concerns about public remarks made by Lisa Bloom, a Los Angeles-based attorney representing at least two of Combs’ accusers in related civil lawsuits. These statements appeared in a recent documentary tied to the case. “We’re troubled by her conduct in this context,” Geragos told the court. In response, Judge Subramanian assured that he would remind all legal representatives and witnesses to adhere to court protocol and professional conduct standards regarding public commentary. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that no prejudicial statements are made that could jeopardize Combs’ right to a fair trial. Europa League: Amorim Highlights Five Manchester United Stars After Dominant Victory Over Athletic Bilbao

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has praised five standout players in his squad after their commanding 3-0 Europa League win against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night. The Red Devils now hold a strong advantage heading into the second leg, with the emphatic result at San Mamés putting them on the verge of a place in the Europa League final. The scoring was initiated by Casemiro, who calmly netted the opener. This was quickly followed by two first-half goals from captain Bruno Fernandes, solidifying United’s control before the break. Despite the clear advantage, Amorim remains cautious and insists that the tie is far from over. “They’re aggressive and full of energy. We have to stay focused,” Amorim said during his post-match remarks. Amorim also commented on the performance and nerves within the squad, highlighting the roles of both younger and senior players: “Manuel Ugarte, despite his vast experience, looked slightly tense, and Patrick Dorgu appeared a bit overwhelmed,” he said.“That’s where experienced players like Casemiro, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes really stepped up. Their leadership and presence made a big difference.” Speaking further about Maguire’s contribution leading up to Casemiro’s goal, Amorim made a light-hearted yet appreciative comment: “Harry’s like a winger out there!” Amorim joked.“He’s had his fair share of challenges in the past, but now everything he contributes works positively for the squad. We must celebrate these moments.” Related Post: UEFA Official Website. Ancelotti Given Until May 26 to Decide on Brazil Managerial Role

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has set a deadline of May 26 to finalize its search for a new head coach, with Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti still the top candidate. As reported by ESPN, the CBF remains patient and has extended its timeline, opting to wait until the outcome of Real Madrid’s La Liga title campaign is clear. Currently, Real Madrid trails Barcelona by four points, with five fixtures remaining in the league. A decisive encounter between the two La Liga giants is scheduled for May 11, when another El Clásico showdown will unfold. This clash could play a critical role in determining the fate of the championship. However, there remains an unresolved impasse between Ancelotti and Real Madrid concerning the terms and timing of his potential exit. These internal negotiations must be concluded before Ancelotti can officially take up the Brazil national team managerial position. The urgency from CBF stems from the need to announce Brazil’s squad on May 26, ahead of crucial World Cup qualifying matches in June against Ecuador and Paraguay. While Ancelotti was previously thought to be on the verge of accepting the role, complications surrounding financial terms related to his departure from Madrid have delayed finalization. Real Madrid’s final game of the La Liga season, against Real Sociedad, is expected to take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on either May 24 or May 25, which closely aligns with the deadline set by the CBF. Europa League: Ruben Amorim Explains Why Manchester United Defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has revealed that the turning point in their emphatic 3-0 Europa League semi-final victory over Athletic Bilbao came with the red card shown to Dani Vivian. The English side dominated the first leg of the encounter, taking full advantage of the Spanish team’s numerical disadvantage before halftime. Casemiro opened the scoring for United with a powerful header. Shortly afterward, the referee was summoned to the VAR monitor to review a critical moment in the game. The result was a penalty decision in favor of Manchester United. Bruno Fernandes stepped forward and confidently converted the spot-kick before netting again to complete a commanding performance. In a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Amorim expressed both satisfaction and caution: “The scoreline is very good, but we also have to interpret it properly. We faced significant challenges in the early stages, and the red card undoubtedly shifted the momentum. A single moment can completely change the direction of any game. We had an additional chance to extend the lead, but this tie is far from over. They have the ability to produce a similar outcome at Old Trafford.” Related Post: Europa League coverage on UEFA’s official website. Lost Voices: Unwritten Memoirs of Forgotten Revolutionaries

Some revolutionaries changed the world—then vanished from its memory. Mainstream history loves a hero. But it often edits the cast. In every revolution—French, Haitian, American, Russian, African, Asian—there were key figures who helped ignite the flame of change, yet were cut out of the final script. Their names are missing from textbooks, their contributions downplayed or erased. This post uncovers the lost voices of revolutions—men and women who dared, bled, and built nations, only to be forgotten. Why Are Revolutionaries Erased? History isn’t just about what happened. It’s about who tells the story. Political agendas, post-revolution regimes, race, gender, and class have all played a part in deciding whose story survives. Take this quote from George Orwell’s 1984: “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.” It’s not just fiction. It’s how power works. 1. Sanité Bélair – The Haitian Joan of Arc History Buried Location: HaitiRevolution: Haitian Revolution (1791–1804) Sanité Bélair fought for the world’s first Black republic. She was a lieutenant in Toussaint Louverture’s army and a symbol of resistance against French colonialism. Her courage was legendary—she faced a firing squad head-on and refused a blindfold, demanding to die like a soldier. Yet, in most Haitian history books, her story was silenced for centuries—overshadowed by male commanders. Even global history rarely acknowledges the role of Black women in liberation movements. National Museum of African American History Why She Was Erased:She was Black. She was a woman. She was militant. She didn’t fit the post-revolution narrative the Haitian elite wanted. 2. Lise Meitner – The Woman Behind the Bomb They Forgot Location: Austria/GermanyRevolution: Scientific Revolution in Physics (early 20th century) Lise Meitner helped unlock nuclear fission, the science behind atomic energy—and the atomic bomb. Her male colleague, Otto Hahn, took the Nobel Prize in 1944. She got nothing. Focus Keyword: forgotten women in revolutions Why She Was Erased:She was Jewish and female in Nazi Germany. When she fled to Sweden, Hahn continued their work and took the credit. The revolution in science happened—but her name was wiped from the explosion. Smithsonian Magazine – The Woman Who Made the Bomb but Was Left Out 3. Thomas Sankara – Africa’s Che Guevara Silenced by a Bullet Location: Burkina FasoRevolution: African Anti-Colonial Resistance (1983–1987) Sankara took power in a bloodless coup and spent four years turning Burkina Faso into a model of anti-corruption, self-reliance, and Pan-Africanism. He renamed the country, pushed women’s rights, planted millions of trees, and refused World Bank loans. Then, he was assassinated in a coup led by his best friend. Why He Was Erased:Global powers didn’t like that he rejected foreign aid and debt traps. African dictators hated his influence. Western textbooks barely mention him. Sybil Ludington – The Teenage Paul Revere Location: USARevolution: American Revolutionary War (1775–1783) At 16, Sybil Ludington rode twice as far as Paul Revere to alert militia forces in 1777. She fought against British invasion and rallied hundreds. Still, history books almost never mention her. Why She Was Erased:Because Paul Revere was a man with connections. She was a girl from a farming family. No paintings. No legend. No spotlight. National Women’s History Museum – Sybil Ludington 5. Ali La Pointe – The Revolutionary Ghost of Algeria Location: AlgeriaRevolution: Algerian War of Independence (1954–1962) Ali La Pointe was a street fighter turned guerrilla leader who resisted French colonialism. He coordinated operations in Algiers and inspired thousands. The French eventually blew up the building where he was hiding—with him and several civilians inside. Why He Was Erased:France wanted to whitewash colonial violence. After independence, Algeria’s ruling party rewrote the revolution in its own image, minimizing grassroots fighters like La Pointe. Recommended Watch: The Battle of Algiers (1966), a film that kept his memory alive. Why These Stories Matter Today The erasure of these voices isn’t just a historical accident—it’s a strategy. These revolutionaries were dangerous because they disrupted systems, because they represented change, because they couldn’t be controlled. By remembering them, we challenge the gatekeepers of history. Rhapsody of Realities May 1st 2025,DIVINE COMPETENCE

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5). The Apostle Paul makes an important declaration in 2 Corinthians 3:5 that “…our sufficiency is of God.” The Greek word for sufficiency here is “hikanotēs,” which means competence or ability. This means, as a child of God, you’re divinely competent. Your ability comes from God, and recognizing this truth brings a transformation in the way you think and live. In that scripture we see a principle of divine exchange: God has given us of His ability and competence so that we could function with the ability of God. The confession of the Word is a key part of this process. This divine competence and ability have been imparted to you. Therefore, you must keep saying it.Always affirm that the ability with which you function is of God. Just knowing about it or reading about it is not enough. It’s your confession that endorses it and activates the reality in your life. So, every so often, you say, “My sufficiency is of God; I’m divinely competent, which means I can carry out any task or assignment excellently.” You align yourself with God’s truth. This act allows God to work with you, guiding you by His Spirit to walk in the fullness of His divine power. It’s also important to understand that while your confession immediately aligns you with God’s truth, growth is a journey. You may not instantly function competently in all areas of life, but as you remain consistent in your confession and follow the leading of the Spirit, God will guide you on the right path. He’ll bring the right opportunities and experiences to help you develop fully in His divine competence. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the divine competence and ability you have empowered me with. My ability is not of myself but from you; I’m therefore divinely empowered to succeed in all things. As I meditate on and confess your Word, I walk in the reality of my divine nature and fulfil all that you have called me to accomplish, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDYPhilippians 4:13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 2 Corinthians 3:5 AMPCNot that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God. Acts 1:8 AMPCBut you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: Christ is made unto me wisdom. In him, I have access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, I have limitless wisdom. I am prudent. I have knowledge of witty inventions. I am skillful, proficient and knowledgeable. I devise the best solutions in every circumstance. I have discretion. Counsel is mine. I am full of sound wisdom. I have sound knowledge and understanding. I have strength, might, and power. I speak excellent and princely things. I have an understanding heart. The opening of my lips is for the right things. My words are all righteous. I speak the truth always. God has given me wisdom. I have a wise and discerning heart. Christ is my excellent wisdom. Nothing can attack me or come against me successfully, for I am surrounded by an innumerable company of angels. My health, business, finances, family, and everything that pertains to me are preserved by God’s Spirit. Every day of my life is full of God’s glory, beauty, excellence, and grace. Every day God loads me with great benefits. In His favor my horn is exalted. I live above infirmities and the harsh elements of this world because the One who lives in me is greater than he that’s in this world. I’m crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God! Success, prosperity, divine health, promotions, and the glorious life are my inheritance in Christ Jesus! Every day, I rule and reign over the circumstances of life and I exercise dominion over Satan and the power of darkness. Christ is my advantage for the glorious life. Eternal life is at work in me. I am a carrier of divinity. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in me bodily. I live life in its fullness and I dispense virtues of healing and health to my world every day. My kidneys, lungs, heart, all tissues and every organ in my body function properly. Good health, success, and prosperity are the hallmarks of my daily life. I enjoy life to the full always. I am enjoying life every day in divine health and prosperity; nothing is missing or lacking in me in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Speak in tongues. Cristiano Ronaldo Responds Emotionally After Al Nassr Crashes Out of AFC Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned captain of Al Nassr, has shared a heartfelt message following his team’s elimination from the AFC Champions League semi-final stage. Al Nassr’s hopes of clinching a title this season were dashed after a narrow 3-2 loss to Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale, leaving Ronaldo without a trophy for another year in Saudi Arabian football. Currently, they are trailing behind Saudi Pro League leaders, Al-Ittihad, by a margin of eight points, with only five matches remaining in the league calendar. Facing yet another trophyless season, Ronaldo took to his official X account to express gratitude to fans and commend the relentless efforts of his teammates. UCL: Thierry Henry Hints Lamine Yamal Could Surpass Messi and Ronaldo in the Future

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has raised eyebrows by suggesting that Barcelona’s winger, Lamine Yamal, could eventually be better than football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, following his dazzling performance for the Catalan giants against Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday. Yamal left a lasting impression on both fans and pundits after Barcelona fought back to secure a 3-3 draw with Inter Milan at the Camp Nou. Speaking on CBS Sports after the match, former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher compared Yamal’s play to the peak performances of Messi, saying it was akin to “watching Messi in his prime.” However, Henry took the conversation a step further, remarking: “We often talk about players who are destined for greatness, but one thing that continually astounds me in football is how we always think there’s no way anyone could surpass Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo. Or, in my era, Pele or [Diego] Maradona… And then along comes Yamal.” The young star will look to keep up his remarkable form when Barcelona travels to Italy for the return leg at the San Siro next week. UCL: Schmeichel Critiques Arsenal Star After 1-0 Loss to PSG

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has called out Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka following the Gunners’ 1-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday. Schmeichel believes that the England international had a subdued performance during the match against the French team, as Arsenal let down their supporters at the Emirates Stadium. A fourth-minute goal from Ousmane Dembele gave PSG a crucial victory, putting them in a strong position ahead of the return leg in Munich. Despite the loss, Mikel Arteta’s side fought hard, but they couldn’t find the back of the net. Brazil’s Gabriel Martinelli forced PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma into a remarkable save just before the break. A header by Mikel Merino in the second half was ruled out for offside after a VAR review. On CBS Sports’ post-match analysis, Schmeichel remarked that several of Arsenal’s key players had subpar performances. When the absence of Thomas Partey was mentioned as a possible reason for the lackluster performance, Schmeichel responded, “Do you think it was only that? Because I feel it was more about several of the top players not showing up tonight.” “I found Saka to be extremely quiet. It felt like a combination of him having a bad day and PSG keeping him under control. He seemed a bit fatigued, to be honest,” Schmeichel added. “When he had chances to challenge Nuno Mendes, he just didn’t display that signature Saka magic we’ve come to expect.” Arsenal now face a tough task in the second leg as they travel to Paris, hoping to secure a 2-0 win over PSG and keep their Champions League dream alive.
