Transfer Update: Manchester United Earns €10 Million as Álvaro Carreras Moves to Real Madrid from Benfica

In a recent development reported by Madrid Zone, Manchester United has secured a financial benefit of €10 million following the transfer of Álvaro Carreras from Benfica to Real Madrid. This fee arises from the terms agreed upon when Carreras moved from United to Benfica, which included a sell-on clause entitling the Premier League side to a portion of any future sale. On Monday, Real Madrid officially completed the signing of the talented Spanish left-back, adding depth to their defensive lineup. The 22-year-old Álvaro Carreras has put pen to paper on a contract that ties him to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium until 30 June 2031, under the guidance of incoming manager Xabi Alonso. This long-term deal underscores Real Madrid’s belief in his potential and readiness to compete at the highest level of European football. Carreras’ career trajectory has been quite eventful. He initially joined Real Madrid’s youth academy from Deportivo La Coruña at just 14 years old, showcasing early promise. However, in pursuit of better opportunities, Carreras moved to Manchester United in 2020. Despite high expectations, his stint at Old Trafford didn’t see him break into the senior team. He was part of the club’s development squad but never made an appearance for the senior side before his eventual departure in 2024. Interestingly, while at Manchester United, Carreras was recognized for his potential when he was awarded the Red Devils’ Under-23 Player of the Season for 2021–22. This accolade highlighted his abilities, even though he was yet to feature for the first team. A subsequent loan spell at Granada CF failed to produce the breakthrough he needed, which many observers considered a setback in his budding career. Nevertheless, Carreras found a revitalized path when he completed a permanent transfer to Benfica. At the Portuguese club, he began to demonstrate his true capabilities, solidifying his position and attracting the attention of European heavyweights like Real Madrid. His performances at Benfica evidently impressed Real Madrid scouts, leading to this significant transfer. The move not only benefits Carreras’ career progression but also financially rewards Manchester United due to the foresight of including a sell-on clause during his initial exit from the club. This transfer represents a full-circle moment for Carreras — from his early days in Madrid, a detour through England and Portugal, to his grand return to Real Madrid with more experience and maturity. Fans and analysts alike are keen to see how Carreras will adapt under Xabi Alonso’s leadership and whether he can stake his claim in Madrid’s competitive squad

Burna Boy Rejects Meme Coin Linked to His Name, Labels Crypto Scheme as Fraud

Popular Nigerian Afrobeat icon and Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, has firmly distanced himself from a trending meme coin that has recently surfaced on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). The cryptocurrency token, which is falsely being associated with the artist’s brand and name, prompted Burna Boy to publicly declare that he has absolutely no involvement in any form of crypto-related venture. In a bold and straightforward statement shared via his Instagram story, Burna Boy openly condemned the meme coin and the individuals promoting it under the guise of his endorsement. He emphasized that he perceives such cryptocurrency schemes as fraudulent activities. The singer categorically stated that he does not engage in any “internet coin” business and made it clear that he has no interest or connection to any such digital financial operations. Burna Boy also used this opportunity to caution his fans and the general public. He encouraged everyone to either ignore or formally report any individual or group using his name to promote digital coins or cryptocurrencies. His message was a direct warning against being misled by unauthorized figures who attempt to capitalize on his global brand without consent. His exact statement on Instagram reads: “I don’t do any internet ‘coin’ business. I see it as fraud and I have no interest in any of that. So if you see anyone using my name for such, please disregard or report them.” This development follows a broader concern within the digital finance space where celebrities’ names are increasingly being used without permission to promote crypto coins and tokens. For readers who want to understand more about the risks associated with crypto scams and meme coins, reputable financial watchdogs like the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have published guidelines on how to identify and avoid crypto frauds.

Eedris Abdulkareem to Nigerian Politicians: ‘You Must Show Empathy If You Expect Sympathy When You Die’

Nigerian hip-hop veteran and activist, Eedris Abdulkareem, has addressed the political class, emphasizing that leaders who desire public sympathy upon their death must cultivate genuine empathy towards the plight of their citizens while they are alive. His message comes on the heels of the controversial public reactions trailing the reported passing of former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari. The news of Buhari’s death, which reportedly occurred on Sunday afternoon in a UK medical facility following an alleged prolonged battle with leukaemia, has triggered mixed emotions across Nigeria. As reported by LMSINT MEDIA, the late former president’s allies and political associates have publicly mourned his demise, offering tributes and condolences. However, significant segments of the Nigerian populace have responded differently, criticizing Buhari’s tenure and blaming him for various governance failures during his administration. Amidst these reactions, Shehu Sani, a former senator and notable public figure, took to his social media platform to appeal for calm and compassion. He reminded Nigerians that only the living can be judged, implying that death should close the chapter of public condemnation. “A living man is still on trial and cannot judge the dead. Let the sleeping soul rest,” Shehu Sani expressed in his post, calling for forgiveness regarding Buhari’s imperfections. Adding his voice to the ongoing discourse, Eedris Abdulkareem shared his thoughts via his verified Instagram account on Monday evening. In his statement, Abdulkareem stressed that public leaders should understand that the legacy they leave behind is deeply tied to their actions while alive. According to him, leaders who neglect to show empathy and compassion for the masses should not expect national sympathy upon their passing. His exact words were: “If you want sympathy in death, then you must show empathy when alive. Your legacies after life are consequences of your deeds. Innalilahi wa innalilahi rajuhun.” This statement has since sparked further debates on social media, reflecting deep societal frustrations about leadership in Nigeria. Abdulkareem’s call resonates with many who believe that public office holders must live lives of service, empathy, and accountability if they hope to be remembered positively.

Nigerian Marketers Slash Fuel Prices as FG Declares Public Holiday to Honour Late President Buhari

In a recent update that has caught the attention of many Nigerians, petroleum product marketers across the country have officially reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, starting from today, Tuesday. This price adjustment coincides with the federal government’s declaration of a national public holiday to pay respect to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari. The former president passed away in London on Sunday, July 14th, 2025, and will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State. Abubakar Maigandi, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), confirmed this development in an exclusive interview with LMSINT MEDIA on Monday. He stated that the price reduction decision was reached after a strategic meeting of IPMAN members in Abuja on Monday. Maigandi explained that the move was prompted by Dangote Refinery’s recent adjustment of its ex-depot price, reducing it from N840 to N820 per litre. This refinery, noted as Africa’s largest, has now lowered the fuel price twice in July 2025 alone. As a result, IPMAN members have committed to lowering their pump prices beginning today. Specifically, petrol will now be sold in Abuja between N900 and N920 per litre, a reduction from the previous rates of N905 to N945 per litre. In Maigandi’s words: “We convened on Tuesday and collectively agreed to cut the petrol price to between N900 and N920 per litre for our Abuja and north-central zone members. Similarly, in other regions across Nigeria, our members will adjust prices downward to between N860 and N890 per litre.” The reduction in fuel prices has been widely welcomed by Nigerians, who have seen a gradual decrease in petrol costs over the past few weeks. This trend is also supported by the broader economic conditions, including a significant drop in global crude oil prices. As of Monday, Brent Crude traded at $69.10 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at $66.98 per barrel, both declining from previous figures above $70 per barrel. Furthermore, Maigandi emphasized that the continuous decrease in petrol prices is a direct benefit of the ongoing liberalization of Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector. Marketers credit Dangote Refinery’s pricing decisions and the deregulated market for enabling such reductions, providing some economic relief to citizens during challenging times. It’s worth noting that IPMAN had earlier hinted at an imminent petrol price slash, which aligns with Dangote Refinery’s earlier move to reduce its ex-depot price. This strategic pricing shift is expected to positively influence retail fuel costs nationwide, even as Nigeria grapples with other pressing economic challenges.

Rhapsody of Realities July 14th 2025,THE VIRGIN BIRTH CONFIRMS HIS DEITY

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us (Matthew 1:23). When we say Jesus Christ is deity, we’re affirming that He is God. This claim is significant, especially when you consider that many around the world view Jesus merely as a prophet or a great teacher. While it may seem respectful for some to call Him a great prophet or a remarkable teacher, these assertions fall far short of His true identity. That’s the reason it’s important to understand who He really is by first examining the miracle of His birth. The Bible describes His birth as extraordinary, something that had never occurred in all of history. Matthew 1:18 says, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” Mary’s conception was a miracle. Before she and Joseph were married or had come together, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Ghost. Joseph, described as a just man and unaware that God was behind it all, intended to quietly end their engagement to avoid bringing disgrace upon her. But as he pondered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him and explained that the conception was not of man but of God (Matthew 1:20). The angel also instructed Joseph to name the child Jesus, stating, “…for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). What makes this account even more remarkable is that it was a fulfilment of prophecy. The Bible says, “Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:22-23). This prophecy was given long before Jesus was born, indicating that His birth was part of God’s divine plan. The name “Emmanuel” means “God with us,” clearly pointing to His divine nature. Jesus was not born through natural means. His birth, being purely divine, is evidence of His deity and also proves His divine origin. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for revealing the deity of Jesus Christ through the Scriptures. I acknowledge that Jesus is indeed God. I rejoice in the truth of His divine nature, and I celebrate His supernatural birth that brought salvation to the world. Thank you for making me a partaker of your divine life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDYIsaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Matthew 1:18-23 NIVThis is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). ADC Slams President Tinubu Over Mysterious Five-Day Silence After BRICS 2025 Summit in Brazil

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his prolonged and unexplained absence following his participation in the 2025 BRICS summit held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The opposition party expressed its concern regarding what it termed the “mysterious disappearance” of the Nigerian leader, who reportedly went off the public radar immediately after the international summit ended. President Tinubu, according to the ADC, was not seen or heard from until five days later, when he quietly returned to Abuja without any official statement clarifying his whereabouts. Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, issued a statement on Sunday, insisting that the Nigerian presidency owes the citizens a clear explanation. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu needs to be transparent about his activities and whereabouts since the conclusion of the BRICS summit,” the statement emphasized. “The summit concluded on July 7th, yet our president vanished from public view and reappeared in Nigeria after five days of complete silence—no statements, no briefings, no explanations.” The ADC condemned the lack of communication from the presidency, noting that leaders of other countries who attended the same summit had already returned to their nations, resumed governance, and briefed their citizens on the summit’s outcomes. “While other world leaders returned to their respective countries and continued with their national responsibilities, Nigeria’s President remained conspicuously absent,” Abdullahi remarked. “He did not inform Nigerians about the summit’s discussions, nor did he provide any rationale for his delayed return.” The party further asserted that this incident is part of a recurring pattern of secretive and unexplained movements by President Tinubu. “This opaque behavior is becoming habitual,” Abdullahi added. “Recall January 2024, when the President embarked on a so-called ‘private visit’ to France, which unexpectedly turned into a two-week disappearance. There were no official photos, press releases, or updates regarding that trip either.” Abdullahi criticized the presidency’s disregard for constitutional protocols during such absences. “In all these instances, there was neither a formal handover of power to the Vice President nor any notification to the National Assembly. What we are left with is an unsettling governance vacuum.” The ADC warned that these unexplained disappearances are particularly dangerous at a time when Nigeria is grappling with escalating insecurity, economic instability, and widespread public dissatisfaction. “At a time of national crisis, the country cannot afford a president who vanishes without any form of accountability,” the statement cautioned. “Such behavior erodes public confidence and portrays weak leadership. True leadership requires visibility and a commitment to transparency.” The party went further to accuse the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of consistently disregarding Nigerians by failing to provide credible information concerning the president’s movements. “When those in leadership go off-grid without accountability, it only deepens public distrust,” Abdullahi lamented. “The APC’s repetitive and dismissive excuses are an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians. What the people deserve is transparency—not half-baked cover stories.” As of the time of filing this report, the presidency has not responded to the allegations and concerns raised by the ADC.

Napoli Football Club has reinitiated direct negotiations with Turkish giants Galatasaray over the potential sale of their prolific Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen. This update was shared by renowned football transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano, who disclosed that Napoli has specified two critical conditions that Galatasaray must meet to secure the signature of the Super Eagles forward. Osun 2026: Davido Hints at Governor Adeleke’s Possible Move from PDP to APC in New Song [VIDEO]

Renowned Nigerian music star, Davido, has seemingly verified speculations surrounding his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s anticipated defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). For weeks, speculations have been rife that Governor Adeleke might be planning to abandon the PDP platform for the APC ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State. This speculation gained momentum following a private meeting between Governor Adeleke, Davido, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held in Lagos last month. According to LMSINT MEDIA, conversations about this possible political realignment began to surface shortly after the governor and his nephew, Davido, met with President Tinubu in a closed-door engagement at his residence in Lagos. Davido has now fueled the rumors through his newly dropped single titled “From Umbrella To Broom”, an apparent metaphor suggesting a switch from the PDP to the APC, as the umbrella represents the PDP’s symbol while the broom stands for the APC. The Afrobeats singer suggests in his lyrics that this prospective political migration is aimed at fostering progress and development in Osun State. He emphasized that aligning with the APC could bring positive change and growth for the state’s people. In his song, Davido croons: “New broom go sweep better. Ẹtan abẹla si ìjọba wa. From umbrella to the broom. Adegbe adafa, alagbada alefa.Eyan marun, mefa, kilode ta n suffer. New broom go sweep better.Them tori us propaganda from January to December we no gbadun NEPA. So all of our youths wan go America.” This translates to questioning why citizens should continue to endure suffering when, according to him, a “new broom” could bring improvements. He also criticizes the persistent propaganda and unreliable power supply, which he suggests are driving Nigerian youths to seek greener pastures abroad. His unique and powerful literary voice spans plays, poems, essays, memoirs, and critical discourses, cementing his status as one of Africa’s most illustrious intellectuals. Soyinka’s work continues to influence discussions on cultural identity, political freedom, and human rights, solidifying his position as not only a Nigerian treasure but a global cultural ambassador.

Rhapsody of Realities July 13th 2025, IT’S ALL IN YOU

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). The Lord is wonderful. Think about all that He’s made us and given to us in Christ Jesus! Our opening scripture says He’s given us everything that pertains to life and godliness. That means everything you require to live triumphantly, in absolute dominion over circumstances, in health, prosperity and peace is all in you. This simply means that the quality of your life is not in the money you have, for all the money you’ll ever have is inside you. All the cars you’d ever drive, the clothes, houses, and everything you’d ever own and enjoy in this life is inside you. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart….” The NIV says, “…He has also set eternity in the human heart….” If eternity is in your heart, then everything you need is in your heart, waiting to be released through your faith and actions. The quality of your life is in your heart. This helps us understand the words of the Master in Luke 6:45,“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” He shows us where good and evil things come from: your heart. He also shows us how they come —from your words. God, in Christ Jesus, has placed everything you need inside you. You’re like a seed, fully equipped with everything you need to become a fruit, a plantation, and a forest. But you must grow in the knowledge of God’s Word and speak accordingly: “Which things also we speak…” (1 Corinthians 2:13). That’s how you activate what God has deposited in your spirit. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the revelation of your Word. I recognize that everything I require for life and godliness is already inside me. Therefore, I function from this vantage position of knowledge and strength as I chart my course in prosperity, victories and divine health, manifesting your righteousness, excellence and glory in all that I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
