Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). There are truths in God’s Word that are so profound they shake the very foundations of conventional thinking. Yet, sometimes, these truths are not immediately embraced even by many within the Body of Christ. This is simply because the understanding and readiness to receive them are often hindered by traditions, limited knowledge, or fear of change. For example, many years ago, I preached a message on “Eternal Life” and boldly declared from the Scriptures that the Christian is not supposed to get sick. It was a revelation so profound, yet so unconventional at the time. My ministerial colleagues tried to dissuade me from teaching the subject, presenting their reasoning and arguments. They thought it was a mistake for me to believe or teach such a thing. I remember having to hide the tape of that message because of the backlash. But the more I meditated on the Word of God, the more convinced I was of the message. Even though I faced my own health challenges at the time, I chose to believe the Word over my experiences. I revisited that message two years later, and it became clear: I was right. The Word was right. But I knew I had to go deeper. I needed to understand why my body was not yet reflecting this truth. So, I made a decision to focus on aligning my body and my experiences with the Word of God. It wasn’t an instant process. It took time, diligence, and unwavering faith. But I stayed with the Word. I meditated on it, spoke it, and applied it to my life daily. And then, one day, something extraordinary happened. I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, and every cell of my blood was infused with the life of God. This revelation changed my life forever. Decades have come and gone, and I’ve never been sick again. Why? Because I discovered that I have eternal life. Eternal life is tangible and real, and it works in every part of your being. It’s a life that cannot be dominated by sickness, weakness, or failure. It is the very essence of God working in your spirit, soul and body. Believe this truth. Hallelujah! CONFESSIONI have the life of God in me! This life is working in every fibre of my being, every cell of my blood, and every bone of my body. I live in divine health, strength and vitality because eternal life is at work in me. I refuse to be sick or weak. I am victorious, triumphant, and full of glory! Hallelujah! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2). Did you know that when you speak in tongues, you speak mysteries? These mysteries could be about your health, job, family, or even future decisions. However, these mysteries are not understood by the human mind. This is why the gift of interpretation of tongues is necessary. With the gift of interpretation, you can understand these mysteries and know exactly what you’re saying. Regrettably, many Christians haven’t fully grasped the power or essence of speaking in tongues and as a result, they see no need for interpretation of these mysteries. If you want to know something about your health, for instance, you can speak in tongues. When you do, you’re speaking mysteries, and when you interpret those tongues, you will understand what the Spirit is revealing to you. We’re not supposed to be in the dark about anything in life. We speak mysteries, and the Holy Spirit helps us to interpret them. 1 Corinthians 2:6-11 says, “Howbeit we speak…the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory…For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” Why is this significant? It’s because when you speak in tongues with interpretation, it equals prophecy. So, we’re either bringing forth the wisdom of God in mysteries through prophetic revelation, or it’s coming to us in tongues that we can interpret. Is it about your school, an imminent trip, or about your children? Is it about your finances, your work, your business, or are you planning to move to a new home and want to know the will of God? Pray in tongues and you will speak forth the mysteries. You can know the will of God concerning various aspects of life by speaking in tongues. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the blessing of speaking in tongues and uttering mysteries with the Holy Spirit granting me understanding of your divine will for my life. I receive supernatural wisdom for every situation and circumstance, and I declare that the power of the Spirit is at work in me, bringing about health, strength and prosperity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. || || 1 Corinthians 2:6-11 NKJVHowever, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden [wisdom] which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written: [” Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,] [Nor have entered into the heart of man] [The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”] 10 But God has revealed [them] to us through His Spirit. Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. || || Romans 8:26-27Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. || READ ALSO: DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: I am sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency, and His superabundant grace upon my life is sufficient for me in all things. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18). This verse, given by the Spirit through the apostle Paul, is one of the simplest, yet most profound instructions in the Word of God. He says, “In everything give thanks.” This means, no matter what happens, stay in gratitude; maintain a grateful heart. Thanksgiving is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. If you’ve ever said, “Lord, I want to do your will,” here’s a straightforward way to do just that: give thanks in everything. It sounds simple, but how well have you practised it? Thanksgiving is how you position yourself to see the manifestation of God’s power at work in your behalf. Depression, frustration and confusion have no place in the life of one who consistently gives thanks. When you understand the principle of thanksgiving, you’ll never allow circumstances to dictate your joy. Nothing can frustrate you when you’re always full of gratitude to the Lord. If you lose money, give thanks. If you lose your job, give thanks. If your car is stolen, give thanks. Before taking any step, give thanks. Why? Because this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus! Even if a contract you were awarded suddenly got revoked, give thanks because your source is not the contract or any human system. Your source is the Lord. When one door closes, it only means a bigger one is about to open. Thanksgiving keeps your focus on God’s sovereignty and provision, not on the challenges before you. So even if your business partners or associates tell you they can no longer fulfil their part of an agreement, respond with gratitude, knowing God has something greater in store for you. Everyone who blesses you is in turn blessed by God. This means that when someone gives to you or does good for you, they position themselves for a blessing from God. Therefore, remain in thanksgiving and trust God to keep you in a state of perpetual abundance. No matter what you face, stay in gratitude, knowing that God’s will for you is perfect and leads to glorious outcomes. Ephesians 5:20 says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, in every circumstance, I choose to give thanks, knowing that your plans for me are always for good. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19). The original Hebrew word for “obedient” in the verse above is “shâma,” which appears, specifically, 1,159 times in the Authorized Version. Notably, it is translated as “obedient” only eight times for contextual relevance. In fact, it is translated as “hear” 785 times and as “hearken” 169 times. The reason I emphasize this is that even in this instance, where the translators believed “obedient” would be the best presentation, it’s not entirely accurate but still conveys a nice meaning. The phrase “if ye be willing and obedient” essentially means “if you truly hear me.” This is why they chose “obedient”—it reflects the dynamics of asking a child, “Did you hear me?” This often occurs when an instruction hasn’t been followed. So, when you say, “If you hear what I’m telling you…,” it implies “If you heed what I’m telling you,” which translates to “If you obey what I’m telling you.” The presentation of this verse in the Living Bible is quite remarkable; it says, “If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich.” What a statement! Can God truly do this, even in difficult situations? Can He do it in the slums, the impoverished neighbourhoods, or backsides of civilization? Can He do it for someone from your kind of family? Emphatically yes! He says, “If you will only let me help you”; it’s as if He’s asking, “I want to help you; would you allow me to do so?” He emphasizes that if you hear Him, He will make you rich. This shows that God is not against you being rich. But what does it mean to be rich? It signifies having super abundance—having so much more than you require that you can help others become rich as well. If you’re wealthy but can’t help others achieve wealth, then you’re not genuinely rich. So, accept His invitation to help you; hear and receive His Word. Follow the principles that He has laid out, and His blessings will be manifested in your life. Hallelujah CONFESSIONI hear and heed the Word of God; therefore, His blessings are manifested in my life. I walk in superabundance, helping many to experience the prosperity of our glorious Kingdom. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). The Bible emphasizes the importance of dealing wisely, a principle that can change the trajectory of anyone’s life. This is something extraordinary that meditating on the Word does for you. The Amplified Classic version of our theme verse highlights this truth; it says through meditation, “…you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8 AMPC). This is a critical aspect of success. The Bible recounts how David, while living in the house of Saul, behaved himself wisely: “David acted wisely in all his ways and succeeded, and the Lord was with him” (1 Samuel 18:14 AMPC). Despite Saul’s hostility and attempts to harm him, David behaved wisely and that set him apart and paved the way for his eventual rise to kingship. Some people don’t know how to behave wisely because they’re bereft of God’s Word. Now you can understand why the Bible says to allow the Word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16). Then in 2 Timothy 3:15, it says the Scriptures are able to make you wise. You can choose to act wisely through consistent meditation on the Word. You might find yourself in a place where others don’t appreciate you, yet you’re able to conduct yourself wisely and achieve success. The Word of God can make that happen for you. You can make your way ever prosperous, deal wisely, and have good success through the Word. Once you grasp this truth, the complaints and limitations of others won’t matter to you. They are not factors to consider in your journey. The only constant is God, and the other factor is you. Take your times of meditation seriously. As you meditate on the Word, you’ll deal wisely and be successful in all your affairs. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the wisdom and understanding your Word imparts to me. I act wisely in every situation, guided by your Word and the Spirit. I refuse to be deterred by hostility or challenges, for I know my success is certain. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee (Exodus 20:12). The Word of God provides clear instructions about the relationship between children and their parents. The apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:1-3 (AMPC) highlights the importance of children obeying and honouring their parents: “CHILDREN, OBEY your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right. Honour (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother–this is the first commandment with a promise– That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.” When you dishonour your parents, it affects your life negatively. Success may come, but it can be fleeting, with cycles of ups and downs, losses, and instability. It’s one of the reasons some people experience unexplainable instability, setbacks, and even premature death. So, do what the Word says; honour your parents or those who may be standing in that role over you. When you do, the result is clear: “It shall be well with you in life.” Honouring your parents isn’t just about your actions, but also about your attitude. The way you speak to them matters. You must treat them with utmost regard and respect. Furthermore, observe that God didn’t add any condition to you honouring your parents. He didn’t say, “Honour your father and mother if they treat you well”; no! Their status as your parents is enough qualification for them to be honoured. It makes no difference what issues or challenges they may have; they’re your parents, and you’re obligated to honour them. If your mother or father is unwell or living in poor conditions, do something about it; show care. Others may disregard them, but they’re your parents, not theirs. You might say, “My parents were very mean to me and didn’t give me the right love and care as a child; therefore, I don’t feel I should honour them.” Well, they’re still your parents, and you have a duty to respect and honour them regardless. You have to do what the Word says. No matter how much you speak in tongues or demonstrate spiritual fervour, it can’t replace this biblical principle. God’s Word is consistent, and honouring your parents is a divine instruction that brings blessings and ensures your journey in life is pleasant—upward and forward. Hallelujah! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one (John 17:22). When God made man, He wasn’t satisfied with man just looking like Him or functioning like Him. That was only the beginning. His ultimate goal was oneness with man. He created us to live in us and be inseparably one with us. The Lord Jesus said, “I am in the Father, and the Father is in me” (John 14:11). God has done the same with us and for us. This was His dream from the beginning. Colossians 1:26-27 says, “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” This is more than a mere resemblance with the Lord. It’s like When Jesus said, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9), it was much more than just resemblance or functionality; it was a revelation of oneness. God wasn’t just seeking a house to dwell in; His ultimate purpose is to reveal His glory through you to the nations. When the Bible speaks of nations, it doesn’t only refer to countries; rather, it signifies people who are connected by shared interests or characteristics. The Greek word is “ethnos”—a group of people with common interests or ideologies. Recognize yourself as inseparably one with God, sent by Him to reveal His glory to your world. Wherever you are right now, reveal His glory in that place. This is your calling. You’re a God-carrier, the effulgence of His glory. And because His glory is in you, you can manifest it and impact your world with it. Hallelujah! PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for making me a carrier of your glory to the nations. I function in my calling with wisdom, excellence and grace, influencing and transforming my world for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made (John 1:1-3). Everything that God does is through the agency of His Word. This is a very fundamental and essential truth to always be conscious of. God’s Word is His creative material. From Genesis 1, we learn that God created everything through His Word. The Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Then, verse 3 says, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” His Word brought order and life to what was a chaotic mass. Then, in John 1:1-3, the Bible declares, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Everything was made by the Word, and without the Word, nothing exists. This understanding reveals the limitless power of God’s Word. When you get a hold of the Word, you can do anything. Someone might ask, “If this is true, why are there so many in the world who are suffering? Why are so many in pain?” God’s response to the suffering and pain in the world is Jesus; and who is Jesus? He is the Word. We read that earlier in John 1:1-3. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” The Word heals, saves, and delivers. It brings hope, healing, restoration and answers to life’s toughest questions. If you’ve been sick and given up on by the doctors to die, what you need is to get a hold of the Word in your spirit. In Christ, you have an incorruptible, indestructible, imperishable life that destroys sickness, disease and infirmities. Get a hold of this reality and create your victory. Everything you need is in the Word of God. Therefore, keep affirming the Word. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word, which is creative and transformative. As I meditate on, and declare your Word, I create a life of victory, health, and success. Your Word is at work in me, producing results that glorify you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all (1 Corinthians 14:18). When we speak in tongues, we speak a unique and divine language that transcends nationalities, ethnicities and regional accents. You most likely can’t determine someone’s land of nativity, country or cultural background by hearing them pray in tongues. Whether an individual is Indian, American, British, Chinese, or Nigerian, their prayers sound unified and distinct because when we speak in tongues, it’s a divine language with Holy Ghost accent. I once conducted a study on individuals praying in tongues from different parts of the world, and the results were phenomenal. I had participants record their prayers without any visual context—no pictures, no videos. As I listened to the audio recordings, I noticed something remarkable: it was impossible to determine where each individual was from or to identify their specific accent or nationalities. This is because praying in tongues is a spiritual language not tied to earthly regions or dialects; it’s heavenly. Furthermore, I considered groups from various locations, separated by vast distances, all praying in tongues. Despite their geographic separation, they all sounded as though they originated from the same place. And indeed, they truly are from the same spiritual place—Christ. Think about people in distant locations, speaking the same spiritual language. It helps to understand what the Bible says, “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:13). How could we all have this spiritual language, except for the fact that it’s by the same Holy Spirit? This is undeniable spiritual evidence of the reality and power of His ministry in and through us. Hallelujah! So, speak in tongues more than ever before, and you’ll see your life move from one level of glory to another. Speak in tongues every day and everywhere. Take this seriously like the apostle Paul who said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). He spoke in tongues more than all of them in the entire church in Corinth combined. This shows how integral speaking in tongues was to his life and ministry. Paul understood that it was a divine language unique only to us. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the gift of the Spirit and the blessing of speaking in tongues. I am edified, energized, strengthened and aligned with your perfect will for my life, and I’m led in the path of unending victory and success as I speak in tongues, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12). The word “meet” in the verse above means “qualify”; the Father qualified you to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of Light. There’s an inheritance for you. Do you see why your mentality should be one of abundance? You’re the King’s kid, and everything that belongs to Him belongs to you. Being born again, the Spirit confirms that you’re a child of God: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:16). Romans 8:17 says, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ….” And because you’re a child of God, you’re a joint heir with Christ—a partaker of the divine nature. All the rights Jesus has, you have as well. Consider a more relatable analogy of a joint bank account. In a joint account, everything in that account belongs to both parties equally. Neither of them can access anything without the other person’s involvement. This illustrates what it means to be joint-heirs with Christ. Everything that belongs to Christ also belongs to you in full. The Bible says, “The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). There’s no lack or deficiency in this inheritance. What you need is to discover more from the Word of God about this inheritance that’s already yours. Without this knowledge, you may live unaware of the full benefits you have in Christ. 2 Peter 1:2-3 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” Did you see that? Enjoying your inheritance and all that’s been made available to you in Christ Jesus is about your knowledge of Him. Hallelujah! CONFESSIONI’m an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV). Just because certain people have chosen a particular kind of Christianity that’s not based on the Scriptures and have decided that it represents Christianity, doesn’t mean that what they are practicing is Christianity at all. True Christianity is based on the Bible—the Word of God. Our opening scripture says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Every Christian believes, accepts, confesses, endorses and proclaims that the Bible is absolutely true and it’s the final arbiter concerning everything in life. Otherwise, such a person isn’t a Christian. Also, the Christian accepts that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that means He’s God in the flesh: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). Plus that, the Christian acknowledges that Jesus died as our Saviour: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The Christian confesses that Jesus was raised from the dead and professes that He is alive today: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). Revelation 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” So it makes no difference for how long you’ve professed to be a Christian or the title by which you’re addressed; if you don’t accept, believe, and confess these truths, you’re not a Christian according to the Bible. This is the beginning of the definition of who a Christian is. Why is this so important? It’s because the transcendent life in Christ that the Bible talks about is only available to those who believe. Believing involves two essential components: accepting the truthfulness of something and confessing it, while acting accordingly. Without these, belief is incomplete. Praise God. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for the light of your Word that defines and directs my life. I believe, accept, confess, and proclaim the absolute truth of the Scriptures. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). When you pray and ask God for things, His ultimate purpose is not to give you material possessions such as houses, cars, or money; His focus is His Word in your spirit. As you grow in the knowledge of God, you’ll discover that everything you desire has already been granted you in His Word. He already said in 2 Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” This understanding will transform your prayer life and the content of your prayers. Instead of focusing on asking for things, your prayer times become moments of fellowship with God because you don’t have the consciousness of need. We have to emulate the way our Lord Jesus lived when He walked the earth. He had no consciousness of lack. What a glorious way to live, when you know that everything you need flows from your union with Him! The Bible says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). This means you’ve been brought into a divine partnership, a family union with Jesus Christ. If this is true (and thank God it is), what could you ever lack? God has already provided everything you’ll ever need for life and godliness through His Word. The key is to have the Word of God dwelling in you richly. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things…” (Matthew 12:35). Then Paul said, “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:7). This treasure is the Word of God stored in your heart, which has the power to produce or create anything and everything you need. That’s where the house, car, spouse, children and every other blessing come from—the Word of God in you! When you’re full of the Word, you carry within you everything you need for health, success, prosperity and victory in this world. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly….” So, meditate on the Word; confess it and let it shape your thinking. Hallelujah! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14). Our opening scripture talks about the natural man. Who is the natural man? The natural man is the ordinary, everyday person who has never been born again. He may have grown up in a good neighbourhood and lived a decent life, but he remains disconnected from the life of God. The natural man has never been awakened to the Fatherhood of God. Ephesians 4:18 says, “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.” The natural man is someone whose only experience is his natural birth and who has grown up purely natural. As the Bible says, “…the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14). It brings to mind an incident from years ago involving the former Vice Chancellor of a certain University who suddenly collapsed at the airport, and, as it happened, the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa was nearby. According to newspaper reports the next day, they described that “audible sounds” from the Archbishop revived the Vice Chancellor. The press didn’t understand what had happened, so they called it “audible sounds.” What actually happened was that Archbishop Idahosa spoke in tongues loudly. The journalists, being unfamiliar with the spiritual context, could only describe it as “audible sounds.” But the man of God knew exactly what to do at that critical moment. He released what the natural man couldn’t understand and the hitherto incapacitated Vice Chancellor was revived! The things of God require spiritual discernment, but the natural man cannot discern them. They seem absurd or meaningless to him, being disconnected from the realities of God and the life of the Spirit. It’s the reason we keep preaching the Gospel. God wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). So, we must help them know the Lord.
