A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of nine passengers and left five others injured following a collision involving a speeding trailer and a commercial bus in Gombe State.
According to information gathered by LMSINT MEDIA, the crash happened at approximately 8:33 a.m. on Monday, when the trailer, reportedly moving at high speed, rammed into the bus conveying passengers.
Confirming the development, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Gombe State, Samson Kaura, disclosed details of the accident during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday.
The incident highlights ongoing concerns about speeding heavy-duty vehicles on major highways, especially in communities where buses and trailers frequently share narrow or poorly regulated roads. Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of speed control, proper vehicle maintenance, and strict adherence to traffic regulations to prevent further loss of lives on Nigerian roads.
