House of Representatives spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi, has confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu duly consulted the National Assembly before announcing his decision regarding the political crisis in Rivers State.

In an official statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, Rotimi emphasized that key leaders within the National Assembly, including Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Deputy Speaker Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Senate Leader Senator Michael Bamidele, and House Leader Rep. Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, were involved in deliberations with the President and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, ahead of the official broadcast.
