The Osun State Amotekun Corps has apprehended a commercial motorcyclist accused of raping a 35-year-old woman while allegedly threatening her with a gun.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Friday in Osogbo by the spokesperson of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Yusuf Abass.
The victim narrated her ordeal to the Amotekun operatives, explaining that the suspect tricked her into visiting his house under the guise of assisting her in finding her missing child.
Upon her arrival, the suspect allegedly pulled out a locally fabricated pistol and a knife, wielding both weapons to threaten and eventually sexually assault her by force, the spokesperson said.
Abass explained that the bricklayer, who was engaged to work at the construction site, exploited his access after work hours to perpetrate the theft of the electrical components.
