Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has reportedly made his position clear on Victor Osimhen’s future, insisting that the Nigerian striker is not a player the Turkish champions are willing to part ways with despite growing interest from Europe’s biggest clubs.

The revelation came from Turkish football journalist Levent Tüzemen, who shared details of a conversation with Özbek regarding the future of the Super Eagles star ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Osimhen has become one of the most talked-about forwards in European football following another impressive campaign in Turkey. The striker finished the season with 22 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions, continuing his reputation as one of the most dangerous attacking players in the game.

His performances have reportedly attracted interest from several top European sides, with clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF, Arsenal F.C. and Chelsea F.C. linked with the forward.

Galatasaray’s stance on Osimhen

According to Tüzemen, Özbek indicated that Galatasaray’s priority is keeping Osimhen as part of their long-term project rather than considering a major transfer deal.

“I asked Dursun Özbek about Osimhen, and he said that no matter what offers arrive, he will not sell him,” Tüzemen said while speaking on Libero TV.

The journalist added that Galatasaray’s leadership believes retaining Osimhen is important to their ambitions of domestic dominance and stronger performances in European competitions.

The club president reportedly emphasized that Galatasaray are targeting another league title and want to build a squad capable of competing deeper in Europe.

Osimhen’s growing influence in Turkey

Since joining Galatasaray permanently last summer, Osimhen has quickly become a key figure at the Istanbul-based club. His contract reportedly keeps him at the club until the end of the 2028-29 season, giving Galatasaray significant control over his future.

The Nigerian forward’s combination of pace, finishing ability, physical strength, and experience at the highest level has made him a valuable asset, not only for Galatasaray but also for clubs searching for an elite striker.

Why this matters

Osimhen’s future is expected to remain one of the biggest transfer stories as European clubs continue to search for proven goal scorers.

For Galatasaray, keeping the striker would represent a statement of ambition — showing that the club wants to compete beyond Turkey and establish itself as a serious force in European football.

For Osimhen, the coming months could determine whether he continues leading Galatasaray’s project or makes another major move in his career.

Football fans will now watch closely as the transfer window develops and whether any club can convince Galatasaray to reconsider their position.
