Kano, Nigeria – In a significant boost to law enforcement operations, Deputy Senate President Hon. Barau Jibril has donated 1,000 motorcycles to the Kano State Police Command. The gesture, announced during an event on Saturday, is aimed at enhancing the mobility and operational capacity of police officers in the state.

Hon. Jibril emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining peace and security, urging traditional rulers, stakeholders, and citizens to complement the efforts of security operatives.

He reiterated the federal government’s dedication, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to combating insecurity across Nigeria.

State Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo, praised the Deputy Senate President for his generosity, noting the impact the motorcycles would have on the force’s operations.
“These motorcycles symbolize more than transportation; they are a tangible investment in the efficiency, morale, and response capacity of our officers,” CP Dogo remarked.
He highlighted the significance of such partnerships, stating that community support strengthens law enforcement efforts and ensures public safety.

This is not the first instance of Senator Jibril’s support for security agencies in Kano State. In 2023, he donated 22 operational vehicles to the Kano Police Command, demonstrating his consistent commitment to law enforcement and community safety.
