President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially transmitted a list of nominees to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation into the governing boards of two critical petroleum sector regulators — the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
According to the submission, 21 individuals have been carefully selected to occupy strategic board positions across both agencies, reflecting a mix of returning officials and newly appointed professionals with extensive experience in energy governance, regulation, finance, and administration.

The remaining nominees represent fresh selections by the current administration.
