Rhapsody of Realities, November 9th 2024, ALWAYS A GLORIOUS DAY

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). Some people have never truly experienced the day-to-day triumphant and supernatural Iife that God has called them to live. For them, Christianity is just another religion, marked by mediocrity and a lack of results. But I refused to accept that kind of life from the moment I was born again. I made a decision very early in my life to put the Word of God to work and live the divine life as exemplified by Jesus Christ for us in the Word. Since I made that choice, the results have been undeniably outstanding and astounding. Thus, I’m confident to tell everyone “It works! The Word works!” I’m living proof that it does. Glory to God! I wasn’t going to settle for a religious experience, no, I saw from the Scriptures that we are ordained to win always. We walk in blessings every day and dispense the same to our world. It’s part of our heritage in Christ. We are the blessed, and we are the blessing. Hallelujah! How could anyone know this and have a blue day? Some believe that the transcendent life ended with the apostles in Bible days; no! We’re living in the reality of the Bible days right now. Don’t think or say, “Today is just not my day.” Every day is your day—your day of victory, dominion and favour. When you wake up in the morning, declare, “Today is my day! I’m excited about today!” Having received the Holy Spirit, you should never have a single day of defeat or despair. Everything that comes your way is an opportunity for progress and promotion. Every challenge is a stepping stone to greater victories. Have this consciousness and enjoy a glorious day every day! *PRAYER**Dear Father, I choose to live by your Word, experiencing the supernatural every day. I walk in health, prosperity, victory, success and joy. I’m moving forward and upward, making progress, always triumphant and victorious, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY:**Acts 20:32*And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. *2 Corinthians 2:14*Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. *Psalms 68:19*Blessed [be] the Lord, [who] daily loadeth us [with benefits, even] the God of our salvation. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart and I am manifesting this love, reaching out to my world with love. I refuse to allow anger, bitterness, and hatred to take its root in my heart. My life is the expression of the Father’s will; as I seek to do only those things that are honorable and pleasing to Him, my increase, progress, and prosperity are evident for all to see. I am in the centre of God’s will for my life and I am equipped with all things that pertain to life and godliness. I am filled with the fullness of God! The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yes, I have a goodly heritage. I do not struggle nor respond in fear because God had not given unto me the spirit of fear. I’m eternally victorious in Christ. I have power over crises; I’m prospering exceedingly, manifesting the righteousness and dominion of Christ everywhere. I live above, and far beyond the distracting elements of this world, because I live in Christ! My life is the testimony of God’s grace. I have been brought into a place of wealth untold. I am enjoying all that belongs to me in Christ. I live and walk in prosperity even as goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. I carry blessings with me everywhere. Whatever projects that I am involved with prosper and are highly profitable. My life is exuberant with joy and I walk in the manifestations of God’s righteousness. I walk conscious of my heritage in Christ. Sickness has no place in my body. I thrive in health every day. God’s goodness and mercy surround me like a shield, and my life is perfect and pleasant. The life of God inundates every fiber of my being, making me impregnable to sickness and disease. From the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, eternal life is at work in me! I belong to Christ; therefore, I’m the seed of Abraham, graced for greatness and ordained to be fruitful and productive in every good work. My life is for the glory of God and I reign and rule by the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. I launch out today in faith, manifesting God’s goodness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Speak in tongues.

Adeyanju and VeryDarkMan Lead Protest Against Demolitions in Abuja

Renowned lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju, along with Vincent Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMark, led a protest against the mass demolitions initiated by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in Abuja. The demonstration included residents of Ruga, a settlement near Airport Road, who protested the destruction of their homes. This move came after Wike’s directive for the “Operation Sweep” task force to demolish settlements like Ruga and other areas in the capital as part of efforts to rid the city of perceived criminal activities and nuisances. Adeyanju expressed deep concern, highlighting that the task force had set fire to many homes and destroyed properties worth millions of naira. He called on President Bola Tinubu to take into account the situation of the impoverished residents who had already been displaced by insecurity in northern states such as Borno. “There is no justification for this demolition. We are appealing to the president to acknowledge the difficult situation these displaced residents are facing,” Adeyanju said. He added that most of the affected people had already been forced out of their homes in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe due to ongoing security challenges. NDC Reacts to Ex-Governor Okowa’s Arrest for Alleged N1.3 Trillion Fraud

The New Delta Coalition (NDC), an advocacy group for good governance, has reacted to the recent arrest of former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged misappropriation of N1.3 trillion in state funds. In a statement from Godwin Anaughe, the group’s convener, the NDC expressed disappointment but noted that the allegations were not surprising. These funds, which represent the 13% derivation allocation intended to support Delta State residents between 2015 and 2023, were reportedly misused by Okowa for personal property investments in Abuja and Asaba. The NDC described Okowa’s tenure as marred by corruption and a lack of transparency, which they claim impeded the state’s development despite significant federal funding. The group commended the EFCC for its investigation and emphasized the need for recovering misappropriated funds and holding those accountable. The NDC also highlighted Okowa’s alleged redirection of N40 billion meant for investment in UTM Floating Liquefied Natural Gas, viewing it as a violation of public trust. They pointed to Delta State’s struggles, including unpaid wages, pension arrears, and increased debt, as evidence of the former governor’s financial mismanagement. The coalition further called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who succeeded Okowa, to cooperate with federal authorities in the investigation and implement safeguards against future financial misconduct. They noted that despite receiving an additional N239.6 billion in derivation funds between June 2023 and July 2024, Delta State has seen little progress. The NDC urged Oborevwori to take a proactive approach to address past misdeeds and promote transparency in governance. Trump Vows to Overturn Biden’s Gender Policies: ‘On Day One, Only Two Genders Will Be Recognized

Former and just re-elected President Donald Trump has pledged to take significant legislative action on gender policies, claiming that current measures under President Joe Biden’s administration are flawed. In a recent video shared by media consultant and activist JC Okechukwu on his X account, Trump criticized Biden’s approach, calling it “gender insanity” and asserting that it needs urgent reversal. His proposed policy changes, aimed at “protecting children,” include rolling back gender-affirming care and implementing a definition of gender that only recognizes male and female, based on birth assignment. Trump declared, “On Day One, I Will Revoke Biden’s Cruel Policy, And US Will Only Recognize Two Genders.”He emphasized that his first priority would be to dismantle the current gender policies, which he described as historically unprecedented and damaging. His goal is to pressure Congress to overturn Biden’s rules and set a clear national standard limiting gender recognition. According to Trump, this move would reinforce traditional views and protect minors from what he considers harmful medical and social practices.A key aspect of Trump’s plan involves restoring Title IX protections to bar transgender women from competing in women’s sports. He expressed his belief that the nation should not endorse the notion of children being born in the “wrong gender,” condemning puberty blockers, gender-affirming treatments, and surgeries for minors as forms of child abuse. This policy stance sharply contrasts with the current administration’s support for gender-affirming care under medical supervision and inclusivity for transgender and non-binary individuals. While Trump’s announcement has been well-received by his conservative supporters, it has also drawn significant criticism from LGBTQ+ advocates, who argue that gender-affirming care is crucial for the mental health and well-being of transgender and non-binary people. The conversation around Trump’s proposal adds to the larger, ongoing national discourse on gender identity and youth rights, highlighting the balance between personal freedoms and societal norms. As debates continue, Trump’s policies underscore the widening ideological gap in U.S. politics regarding gender and social issues, with advocates on both sides fighting for the future of the nation’s policies and values.

Sustainable Living: Small Changes for a Big Impact

“Sustainable Living: Small Changes for a Big Impact” with a focus on practical tips that readers can apply easily in their daily lives. In a world facing environmental challenges like climate change, pollution, and resource scarcity, every small action we take toward sustainability matters. Sustainable living isn’t about making massive lifestyle changes overnight; it’s about adopting small, consistent habits that collectively make a big difference. Here are some practical ways to make your life more sustainable without overhauling everything at once. Plastics are everywhere, but many can be replaced with reusable alternatives. Here are some quick swaps:• Use cloth bags instead of plastic for shopping.• Switch to a reusable water bottle and coffee cup.• Avoid products with excessive plastic packaging, like individually wrapped snacks. Reducing plastic waste helps protect marine life, lowers pollution, and conserves the energy needed to produce plastics. Small adjustments in how we consume energy can reduce our carbon footprint and save money.• Unplug electronics when they’re not in use.• Switch to energy-efficient LED light bulbs.• Set your thermostat a few degrees lower in winter and higher in summer.• Consider using a smart thermostat to monitor and control energy use more effectively. Over time, these simple steps can result in significant energy savings and make your home more eco-friendly. The fashion industry is one of the most resource-intensive industries globally. To make a difference:• Buy quality clothing that lasts longer.• Consider second-hand or vintage shopping.• Support brands committed to ethical practices and eco-friendly materials.• Repurpose or donate clothes instead of throwing them away. By being more mindful of what you wear, you can help reduce the demand for fast fashion, which often comes at an environmental cost. Shifting to a plant-based diet, even a few times a week, can significantly reduce your environmental impact. Animal agriculture uses large amounts of water and land while producing greenhouse gases.• Start with “Meatless Mondays” or experiment with plant-based recipes.• Choose seasonal, local produce, which has a smaller carbon footprint.• Grow your own herbs or vegetables if possible. These small changes in diet promote a healthier lifestyle and contribute to a more sustainable food system. Freshwater is a precious resource, and even small conservation efforts add up.• Take shorter showers and turn off the tap while brushing your teeth.• Install low-flow showerheads and faucets to reduce water consumption.• Only run the dishwasher and washing machine with full loads. Conserving water not only saves you money but also helps preserve this vital resource for future generations. Recycling and composting divert waste from landfills, which helps reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.• Learn your local recycling guidelines and sort your waste accordingly.• Compost food scraps and yard waste if you have space, creating nutrient-rich soil for gardening.• Avoid “wish-cycling” (throwing non-recyclables in the recycling bin), as it can cause contamination and reduce the effectiveness of recycling programs. A mindful approach to waste management is a simple yet impactful way to protect the environment. Where we spend our money makes a difference. Supporting businesses that prioritize sustainable practices encourages more companies to follow suit.• Buy locally grown food to reduce transportation emissions.• Support small, eco-conscious businesses over large corporations that may prioritize profits over the environment.• Choose products with minimal packaging or eco-friendly packaging materials. Your purchases act as a vote for a sustainable economy, fostering demand for greener products and services. Reducing car use cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. If possible:• Walk or bike short distances.• Use public transportation for longer trips.• Share rides with friends or coworkers. Transportation is one of the biggest contributors to pollution, so each ride you share or avoid adds up. Conclusion Living sustainably doesn’t require huge sacrifices. It’s about making thoughtful choices and incorporating small, consistent changes into our routines. Each of these steps might seem minor on its own, but collectively, they can lead to a healthier planet. Remember, sustainable living is a journey, not a destination. The more we can incorporate these habits into our lives, the closer we come to a greener, more sustainable future.
