Why Are Most People Right-Handed?

Discover why most people are right-handed, exploring brain function, evolution, and societal influences that contribute to this common trait. The preference for right-handedness among the majority of people has long been a subject of study. Researchers attribute this tendency to brain function, evolutionary history, and societal influences. While some religious beliefs, including those in the Bible, associate the right hand with favor and the left with rejection, scientific explanations offer a more comprehensive understanding of why right-handedness is dominant. The Role of Brain Function The dominance of one hand over the other is largely due to the structure of the nervous system. The human brain is divided into two hemispheres, each controlling the opposite side of the body. The left hemisphere, which is responsible for speech and fine motor skills, controls the right side of the body, making right-handedness more common. Studies suggest that this trait is more prevalent among women than men. Evolutionary Factors Anthropological evidence suggests that early humans exhibited a preference for the right hand in various activities such as tool-making, hunting, and defense. According to Frayer et al. (2016), species like Homo habilis, Homo erectus, and Homo heidelbergensis predominantly used their right hands for grasping and manipulating objects. Uomini (2009) further supports this claim by noting that these early humans frequently brought objects to their mouths using their right hands. Cultural and Social Influences Right-handedness has also been reinforced by cultural and societal norms. In many societies, left-handed individuals were historically stigmatized and encouraged to use their right hands. Additionally, most tools, writing systems, and weaponry have been designed for right-handed individuals, further promoting right-hand dominance over generations. Conclusion The widespread preference for right-handedness can be attributed to a combination of neurological structure, evolutionary patterns, and societal reinforcement. While left-handedness and ambidexterity exist, right-handedness remains the dominant trait due to these interconnected factors. Trump Orders Airstrikes on ISIS Targets in Somalia

The United States military launched precision airstrikes on Islamic State (ISIS) targets in Somalia on Saturday, as announced by former US President Donald Trump. US Military Conducts Airstrikes on ISIS in Somalia In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump confirmed that he had ordered targeted strikes against senior ISIS leaders and their recruits in Somalia. “This morning, I directed precision military airstrikes on the Senior ISIS Attack Planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia,” Trump wrote. Targeted Strikes in Puntland Region US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth disclosed that the military operation specifically targeted ISIS operatives in the Golis Mountains, a remote area in the Puntland region known for militant activity. “Our initial assessment confirms that multiple operatives were eliminated, and no civilian casualties were reported,” Hegseth stated. Impact on ISIS Operations in Somalia Hegseth emphasized that the operation was a strategic move to weaken ISIS’s ability to coordinate attacks against the US, its allies, and innocent civilians. “This action significantly reduces ISIS’s capacity to plan and execute terrorist attacks. It reinforces our commitment to protecting US citizens and sending a strong message to terrorist groups worldwide.” ISIS Threat in Somalia While ISIS has a smaller footprint in Somalia compared to the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab, security analysts have raised concerns about its expanding influence in the region. Trump concluded his statement with a firm warning to ISIS and other terrorist organizations: “The message to ISIS and all others who threaten Americans is clear—WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!” Conclusion The US airstrikes in Somalia mark another step in the ongoing fight against terrorism in Africa. As extremist groups continue to pose security challenges, the US military remains committed to eliminating threats before they can escalate. Liverpool’s Victory Over Bournemouth: Salah’s Controversial Penalty Secures Nine-Point Lead

Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to nine points with a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. However, the match was overshadowed by a controversial penalty decision that saw Mohamed Salah score the opener. Salah’s Disputed Penalty Sparks Debate The game took a dramatic turn when Liverpool was awarded a penalty in the first half. Cody Gakpo appeared to stumble in the box, but referee Darren England deemed it a foul by Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook. Despite protests from the home side, VAR upheld the decision, confirming that Gakpo was onside and the challenge was deemed a trip. Salah calmly converted from the spot, giving the Reds a crucial lead. Bournemouth fans and players expressed their frustration, feeling hard done by the decision. Salah’s Dominance Continues The Egyptian forward sealed the win with a second goal late in the match, further extending Liverpool’s lead over second-placed Arsenal. This marked Salah’s 21st goal in 23 league appearances this season and the fifth time he has surpassed the 20-goal mark in a Premier League campaign. With 178 career Premier League goals, Salah surpassed Frank Lampard to become the sixth-highest scorer in the league’s history. His contributions have been instrumental in Liverpool’s impressive unbeaten run, which now stretches to 19 league games, with 17 wins under new manager Arne Slot. Liverpool’s Title Ambitions Strengthen The Reds are in pursuit of their 20th English top-flight title and their first Premier League trophy since 2020. Their dominant form has put them in a strong position, as they now await the outcome of Manchester City’s clash with Arsenal, which could further impact the title race. Challenges Ahead for Liverpool Despite their strong performance, Liverpool faces a tough schedule ahead. On Thursday, they will attempt to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit against Tottenham in the League Cup semi-final at Anfield. Additionally, manager Arne Slot will be concerned about the injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was forced off in the second half. Bournemouth’s Unbeaten Streak Ends Bournemouth had been in fine form, securing home victories against Manchester City and Arsenal while thrashing Nottingham Forest 5-0 in their previous outing. However, their impressive 11-match unbeaten streak came to an end against a determined Liverpool side. Match Highlights The game started with early pressure from Bournemouth, as Antoine Semenyo nearly scored within 12 seconds, forcing a strong save from Alisson Becker. Trent Alexander-Arnold struggled defensively, making errors that led to opportunities for Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert and Semenyo, who struck the woodwork. Liverpool, however, showcased their attacking strength, with Dominik Szoboszlai testing Bournemouth’s goalkeeper. Eventually, their relentless pressure paid off as Salah’s penalty opened the scoring. His second goal late in the match ensured a comfortable victory for the league leaders. Conclusion Liverpool’s commanding display against Bournemouth strengthens their grip on the Premier League title race. While controversy surrounded Salah’s penalty, the Reds’ dominance was undeniable. As they prepare for key fixtures ahead, their momentum could see them lift the trophy once again. Nigerians Condemn Corruption but Defend Corrupt Leaders – EFCC Chairman Olukoyede

EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede criticizes Nigerians for condemning corruption but defending corrupt leaders. He emphasizes the need for collective action to fight financial crimes in Nigeria. Nigerians Criticize Corruption but Shield Corrupt Leaders – EFCC Boss Olukoyede The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has raised concerns about Nigerians’ conflicting stance on corruption. While many condemn the issue, they also defend corrupt individuals when they face legal action. During a meeting in Abuja on Friday with officials from the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC), led by Chris Olukolade, Olukoyede emphasized that corruption remains Nigeria’s greatest challenge to development. Corruption: The Major Barrier to Nigeria’s Progress Olukoyede stated that addressing corruption and financial crimes is key to eradicating underdevelopment in Nigeria. “One of Nigeria’s biggest problems is corruption. If we can successfully tackle it, underdevelopment will become a thing of the past,” he said. He further stressed that the fight against corruption is a shared responsibility, not just the duty of the government. Citizens must actively commit to upholding integrity and accountability to ensure national progress. Contradictions in Public Reactions to Corruption Cases The EFCC chairman highlighted a major contradiction in how Nigerians respond to corruption. While many decry corruption, they often support and defend leaders accused of financial crimes when prosecuted. “People cry out about corruption, blaming it for destroying our system. Yet, when high-profile cases are investigated and suspects arraigned, the same people take to the streets with placards, defending the accused.” According to Olukoyede, such actions undermine the fight against corruption. He stressed that anti-corruption efforts should be a collective mission rather than a selective pursuit. EFCC’s Commitment to Combating Corruption Reaffirming the EFCC’s dedication to tackling financial crimes, Olukoyede assured that the agency would continue working within the limits of the law to hold corrupt individuals accountable. He also called for public collaboration in combating corruption and announced that the EFCC would partner with the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) to improve strategic communication and public awareness on issues of integrity and accountability. The event also marked Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’s 50th birthday, making it a double celebration attended by top political figures, legal experts, and religious leaders. Distinguished Guests in Attendance The anniversary ceremony brought together notable personalities from various sectors, including: Obasanjo’s Heartfelt Tribute Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who gave a memorable speech, reflected on his time in government, humorously acknowledging Anyim Pius Anyim as his “boss.” He remarked:“When I was in office, he served as the Senate President. If I sent a bill to the National Assembly, it needed his approval to pass. So, I had to respect him as my elder.” On the couple’s anniversary, Obasanjo emphasized the importance of renewing marital purpose every 25 years, referencing the biblical concept of Jubilee. “Every marriage that reaches 25 years should involve a renewal of vows and purpose. In another 25 years, I wish you well in advance. Although I may not be physically present, I will be watching from a better place.” Goodluck Jonathan’s Message Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, representing former President Goodluck Jonathan, congratulated the Fatoyinbos on reaching this milestone. “If President Goodluck Jonathan were here, he would undoubtedly say that President Obasanjo has spoken on behalf of former leaders. On his behalf, I extend warm congratulations to you and your family.” Legal and Clergy Tributes Renowned legal experts and religious leaders also paid tribute: Pastor Ashimolowo advised,“Your wife stands beside you, not beneath you. Your marriage ring should remind you of faith and love, not control.” A Celebration of Love and Commitment The event featured: Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo reflected on the spiritual foundation of their marriage, while Modele Fatoyinbo pledged continued devotion to their journey together. Conclusion The COZA 25th wedding anniversary celebration was a gathering of influential personalities, reflecting the profound impact of the Fatoyinbos’ ministry. With prayers, speeches, and joyful moments, the event highlighted the essence of love, faith, and commitment in marriage. US Democrats Seek New Leadership to Challenge Trump: A Strategic Roadmaps

US Democrats are electing a new leader to strategize against Trump and rebuild the party after last year’s election loss. Discover the key contenders and their vision for the future Introduction As the Democratic Party grapples with the aftermath of a significant electoral loss, its members are convening to elect a new leader who will redefine their strategy and mobilize efforts against Republican Donald Trump. With political stakes at an all-time high, the party must rebuild its foundation and reconnect with voters across all states. Democrats Chart a New Course Meeting in a Washington hotel, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is assessing the factors behind last year’s defeat and selecting a new chairperson to lead the party’s revival. The new leadership will be responsible for crafting an effective plan to counter Trump’s policies and regain the public’s trust. Katherine Jeanes, deputy digital director for North Carolina’s Democratic Party, described the situation as “political guerilla warfare,” emphasizing that the party must be proactive and strategic rather than passive. The Call for Bold Action Maryland Governor Wes Moore stressed that Democrats cannot afford to remain inactive until the next general election. “We need to band together and show the country what we can achieve,” he urged during a general session. Shasti Conrad, chair of Washington state’s Democratic Party, echoed this sentiment, warning that many Americans have lost faith in the party’s ability to enact meaningful change. She stressed the need for year-round grassroots organizing to ensure a strong Democratic presence at all levels. Top Contenders for Leadership The race for DNC chair is focused on two leading candidates: Despite their differing approaches, both candidates agree on the need to rebuild Democratic influence across all states. Electoral Challenges Ahead The previous election saw Trump narrowly winning Wisconsin, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris secured Minnesota but struggled in many conservative strongholds. As Trump embarks on his second term, Democrats face the challenge of navigating a Republican-controlled Congress and countering his administration’s policies. Shasti Conrad warned against getting distracted by Trump’s rhetoric, stating, “We must focus on policy impact rather than chasing every controversy.” Reconnecting with Voters A key focus for Democrats will be regaining the trust of the working class and ensuring their policies resonate nationwide. “The soul of the Democratic Party is the fight for working people,” said Wikler, reinforcing the party’s commitment to economic justice. With political polarization at its peak, the Democratic Party must move beyond its internal “echo chamber” and engage with a broader audience to remain a formidable force in future elections. Conclusion As Democrats choose their next leader, they face a defining moment in shaping their political future. The new leadership must craft a strategy that unites party members, mobilizes grassroots support, and effectively challenges Trump’s agenda. The road ahead will be tough, but with a renewed focus on engagement and policy advocacy, the party aims to rebuild and reclaim influence in American politics. 1,000 UNIZIK Staff Protest Over Alleged Misappropriation of N1 Billion in Salaries

Over 1,000 UNIZIK staff members protest the alleged misappropriation of N1 billion meant for salaries, while the university management denies wrongdoing. Read more Staff Demand Unpaid Wages Amidst Allegations of Funds Mismanagement More than 1,000 staff members of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, who were employed between 2019 and 2020, have taken to the streets in protest. They claim that N1 billion allocated for personnel costs has been misappropriated, leaving them without salaries for the past five years. The protesters expressed frustration over the prolonged non-payment, stating that many of their colleagues had died due to financial hardship. “We are devastated that such a substantial amount meant for our salaries has been mismanaged. The suffering has been unbearable, and several of our colleagues have lost their lives due to this injustice,” some protesters lamented. University Management Responds to Allegations In reaction to the protest, the university’s management denied any wrongdoing. According to the University Bursar, Mr. Gozie Egwuatu, only 120 staff members employed within that period had been fully captured in the payroll system. Egwuatu clarified that the hiring processes in 2019 and 2020 occurred before the federal government implemented the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), which complicated the salary payment process. “These employment processes were conducted at the university level, and the federal government later directed that the payroll capturing be completed through the Head of Service. Unfortunately, this process has been delayed,” Egwuatu explained. He further revealed that despite multiple applications, it was only in late 2023 that approval was granted for 120 staff members—100 academic and 20 non-academic—out of the over 1,000 affected. Misinterpretation of the N1 Billion Allocation Egwuatu also addressed the widespread belief that the N1 billion personnel cost was intended for the unpaid staff members. “The federal government clarified that this amount was meant for paying arrears of the entire university workforce, not just the affected staff. Initially, we assumed it was for the unpaid employees, but that was a misunderstanding,” he explained. Despite the challenges, Egwuatu reassured the protesting staff that the university was actively working to resolve the issue. He noted that the institution had engaged both the federal government and the National Assembly, where motions have been raised to address the crisis. “We understand their plight and remain committed to ensuring that all affected staff are fully captured and receive their rightful salaries,” Egwuatu assured. Conclusion The situation at UNIZIK highlights ongoing salary payment challenges within Nigeria’s public universities. While the institution’s management insists that no funds were misappropriated, the affected staff continue to demand justice. The resolution of this issue will depend on further intervention by the government and legislative bodies. Trump’s Executive Order: A Wake-Up Call for Nigeria to Strengthen Healthcare

Nigeria’s health minister sees Trump’s executive order on foreign aid as a call for Nigeria to strengthen its healthcare system. Learn about the government’s response and initiatives Nigeria Urged to Reduce Dependence on Foreign Aid for Healthcare The Federal Ministry of Health has described the recent executive order by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding foreign aid as a crucial wake-up call for Nigeria to strengthen its healthcare system and minimize reliance on international funding. During an oversight visit to Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ebute Metta, Lagos, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, emphasized the urgency of strategic planning and domestic resource mobilization. He pointed out that anticipated cuts in U.S. foreign aid necessitate a shift toward a self-sustaining healthcare system in Nigeria. Foreign Aid Reduction Sparks Concern Over Healthcare Sustainability Following his tour of FMC Ebute Metta, Dr. Salako addressed concerns about the potential reduction in foreign assistance to Nigeria. “The executive orders being reviewed in the U.S. suggest that aid and grants to developing countries like Nigeria are likely to decrease. This is a wake-up call for us to rethink our strategies, exert ourselves, and work toward a more self-sufficient healthcare system,” he stated. The minister further disclosed that the Nigerian government is actively engaging with global stakeholders, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the UN Global Platform (UNGP), and the Global Forum, to explore sustainable solutions. The Need for Alternative Healthcare Funding Highlighting the critical impact of foreign aid on essential programs—particularly HIV treatment, which heavily relies on U.S. funding—Dr. Salako stressed the importance of finding alternative revenue streams. “We are exploring options such as crowdfunding while also increasing government funding for healthcare projects. It is imperative that we diversify our funding sources to avoid a crisis,” he noted. While advocating for global cooperation, the minister emphasized that no country can function in isolation. “The world is a global village. What happens in one country affects others. America cannot operate alone, just as Nigeria or any other country cannot. I believe reason will prevail, and the U.S. government will maintain its essential role in the global community. However, this is an opportunity for us to build a more independent and resilient healthcare system,” he concluded. FMC Ebute Metta Praised for Digital Health Innovations Commending the management and staff of FMC Ebute Metta, the minister described the hospital as a “small body with a big engine.” He highlighted its efficient use of space, adoption of digital innovations, and modern medical equipment as key strengths. A major highlight of the visit was the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) system, which Dr. Salako noted could serve as a model for other healthcare facilities under the Nigeria Digital Health Initiative. “Our goal is to create a transparent system with one provider per geopolitical zone. The provider here is undergoing assessment and could be recommended for wider adoption,” he stated. The transition to a paperless system at FMC Ebute Metta was particularly praised, with the minister noting that such advancements could help reduce medical tourism and improve healthcare delivery within Nigeria. Government Initiatives to Enhance Cancer Treatment Dr. Salako also addressed the federal government’s commitment to improving cancer treatment, highlighting key initiatives such as: While rating the hospital’s performance as excellent, the minister acknowledged areas for improvement and pledged further discussions with the Medical Director to enhance healthcare delivery. Conclusion With the potential reduction in U.S. foreign aid, Nigeria must take proactive steps to strengthen its healthcare system. The government’s commitment to domestic resource mobilization, digital health adoption, and alternative funding strategies is essential to achieving long-term sustainability. By focusing on self-sufficiency, digital innovations, and local funding sources, Nigeria can build a more resilient healthcare system capable of delivering quality medical services to its citizens. FRSC to Enforce Speed Limit Devices and Passenger Manifests from March 1

The FRSC Anambra Command will begin enforcing compliance with speed limit devices and passenger manifests from March 1. Non-compliant transporters will face sanctions. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra Command, has announced that from March 1, it will begin enforcing strict compliance with passenger manifests and the installation of speed limit devices among transporters and fleet operators. This directive was disclosed by Mrs. Joyce Alexander, the Anambra Sector Commander, during a media briefing in Awka, where she provided updates on the command’s performance in the 2024 ‘Operation Zero’ initiative. Low Compliance and Safety Concerns Mrs. Alexander expressed concern over the low adoption of speed limit devices by commercial transporters, particularly fleet operators. She also highlighted cases where some transporters tamper with the devices, undermining road safety regulations. Furthermore, she pointed out that many inter-state commercial drivers and fleet operators fail to maintain proper passenger manifests, which should include a blood group column as mandated by law. This requirement is crucial for identifying passengers and facilitating timely medical intervention in case of accidents. Strict Enforcement Begins March 1 According to the sector commander, the FRSC will intensify enforcement efforts in Anambra, including special intervention patrols to inspect vehicles. “Any transporter or fleet operator found violating the rules on speed limit devices and passenger manifests will face arrest. The FRSC will no longer tolerate non-compliance with road safety regulations,” Alexander stated. She emphasized that strict adherence to these measures is necessary to prevent road crashes and safeguard lives and property in Anambra. Call for Compliance and Road Safety Awareness Mrs. Alexander urged drivers to ensure passengers fill out accurate information in the manifests before embarking on any trip. She also commended the Anambra State Government for its ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects, noting that improved infrastructure would significantly reduce road accidents. Additionally, she appealed to all road users to obey traffic rules, emphasizing that road safety is a shared responsibility. Media’s Role in Road Safety Awareness The sector commander acknowledged the media’s role in educating the public on road safety. She expressed appreciation for the partnership between the FRSC and media outlets, which has been instrumental in raising awareness about highway safety protocols. Rhapsody of Realities February 1st 2025, THE INFLUENCE OF HIS KINGDOM

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence (John 18:36). One of the charges for which Jesus was condemned was that He declared Himself to be a king. When Pilate asked Him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, _*”…My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence”*_ (John 18:36). Pilate, intrigued by Jesus’ response, sought further clarification regarding His kingship. He asked again, “Are you a king then?” Jesus elaborated, saying, _*“…To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice”*_ (John 18:37). The Lord Jesus stating that He was a king meant He was the ruler of a kingdom. But where was His kingdom? He clarified that His kingdom was not of this world, meaning it was foreign to this earthly realm. The rulers of the time couldn’t understand His kingdom because they couldn’t see it; they were perplexed by it. The next important point is that Jesus had a mission to extend the influence and power of His heavenly kingdom to this world. He came to bring the blessings, the goodness, and the power of His kingdom to a world full of pain, darkness and struggles. This world, filled with destruction and suffering, needed change, and Jesus came with His kingdom to effect that change. Hallelujah! Through salvation, He extended the goodness of His kingdom to humanity. Now that you’re born again, you’ve become a citizen of Christ’s glorious Kingdom: _*“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”*_ (Colossians 1:12-13). Therefore, walk in the consciousness of the full blessings of the Kingdom, and spread the influence of His reign everywhere. You represent the Kingdom; you carry it everywhere you go, for it is within you: Luke 17:21, _*“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”*_ You’re the extension of His Kingdom and its influence, for the Bible says, _*“…he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand”*_ (Isaiah 53:10).  *PRAYER* *Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for your heavenly Kingdom and its blessings, impact and influence in the earth and in the hearts of men. I live the life of the Kingdom, and I walk in the fullness of its blessings, spreading the influence of your reign everywhere. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY* *||* *Luke 4:43* And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent. *||* *||* *Matthew 6:33* But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. *||* *||* *Luke 17:20-21* And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. *||*   READ ALSO: DAILY AFFIRMATIONS All things are working for my good. Rhapsody of Realities January 31st 2025, LIFTED INTO HIS CLASS

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (1 John 5:11).. When you receive eternal life—which is the unfading, unending and indestructible life of God—you receive the very nature and righteousness of God. This life lifts you into God’s class of being. Let me explain this to you because it’s so important. We often talk about who God is. God is not just a supernatural being who is so powerful that no one can resist Him, allowing Him to do whatever He pleases. While that’s true to some extent, there’s more to God than just His power. The Bible tells us that God is holy, God is righteous, God is just, and God is love. He created everything, and nothing exists that He didn’t create. Everything belongs to Him. We are from God; He made us. He had a plan for us, and in His plan, He determined to give us eternal life so that we would be more than mere creatures. He gave us eternal life to lift us into His class of being. That’s what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “…If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature….” If you’re born again, it means you’re in Christ, and if you’re in Christ, you’re a new creature, a new kind of man, a new type of being, in God’s class of being. This doesn’t mean that you are equal with God but that you share in His nature. He remains your God and Heavenly Father, and He is greater than you, yet you can now relate with Him at a personal level, in a father-and child relationship. Just as a child relates to the parent as a human being, not as a dog or cat that belongs to a different class, we have been lifted into God’s class to relate with Him as associates of the God-kind. That’s what receiving eternal life means, and it’s the life that God has given to us through Jesus Christ. This is the good news we preach. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why we proclaim it to the world that eternal life has come and that now, anyone who believes has been lifted into God’s class of being. Moment of Meditation: *PRAYER* *Dear Father, thank you for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. I rejoice because I have been lifted into your class of being, with your divine nature and righteousness. I’m a new creation, born again with your unfading, unending and indestructible life in me. I walk in the consciousness of this life every day, influencing my world with your power, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY* *||* *John 3:16* For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.*||* *||* *2 Corinthians 5:17* Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. *||* *||* *1 John 5:11-13* And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. *||*  READ ALSO: DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: I am empowered me to do great wonders and miracles and to effect positive changes in my world and in my health, family, and finances. In the face of betrayal, the sacred stool of the Olu of Warri must be defended. This post explores the importance of heritage, unity, and cultural pride in protecting our legacy. In a time when cultural heritage deserves unwavering protection, it is deeply saddening to witness a son of Warri venture to Switzerland with the aim of dishonoring the sacred stool of the Olu of Warri. This reckless act of betrayal exposes the depths of some individuals’ desperation, showing how far they will go to abandon their dignity and heritage for fleeting rewards. No amount of denial can erase the damage done. When someone cries in the night and a life is lost by dawn, the culprit is often right in front of us. The Root Cause of Betrayal: Greed and Ambition What could possibly justify such an act of disgrace? The answer lies in the shameful combination of greed and blind ambition. The Niger Delta, a region long steeped in political struggles, has attracted opportunists ready to exploit internal divisions. In this case, a Warri son betrayed his heritage for an oil surveillance contract. Rather than protecting the honor of his people, he chose to align with forces that have consistently undermined the Warri Kingdom. In doing so, he dragged the sacred stool of the Olu into international disrepute. We must remember: a bird does not forget its nest, just as we should never forget the dignity of our ancestors and their throne. A Long History of Betrayal for Quick Gains This betrayal is not an isolated case. For years, individuals driven by ambition have abandoned tradition for the illusion of financial success. To them, the throne has ceased to be a symbol of honor; instead, it is a bargaining chip to be exchanged for wealth, influence, or political leverage. These actions serve only to strengthen external forces that wish to divide and weaken the Warri Kingdom. By publicly undermining the integrity of the Olu’s stool, these individuals provide ammunition to those who seek to sow discord among the Itsekiri people. The Dire Consequences of Betrayal The consequences of such betrayal are grave. A throne that is ridiculed publicly loses its authority. A house built on sand cannot stand, and a divided kingdom becomes vulnerable to outside manipulation. History teaches us that those who betray their people for temporary gains are often left forgotten, their fleeting rewards rendered meaningless. What, then, did this individual truly gain? A short-lived contract or a handful of foreign currency? Was it worth the dishonor and the permanent stain on his family’s reputation? Itsekiri People Must Stand Against Betrayal The Itsekiri people cannot afford to remain silent in the face of such betrayal. The sacred stool of the Olu of Warri is not a commodity to be sold to the highest bidder. Those who choose to serve external interests at the cost of their heritage must face consequences—both from their people and from history. Teaching the Younger Generation It is crucial to pass on the importance of cultural pride, loyalty, and responsibility to the younger generation. The future of the Warri Kingdom will not be secured by those who trade their birthright for personal gain. Rather, it will be preserved by those who defend their heritage with pride. Dignity cannot be bought, and those who fail to recognize this truth will find that ill-gotten wealth is always fleeting. The true value of a person is not measured by what they acquire, but by what they uphold. The legacy of the Olu of Warri is greater than any individual ambition and will endure long after the betrayals of today are forgotten. Conclusion: Protecting the Legacy of Warri Kingdom Ultimately, the fate of the Warri Kingdom lies in the hands of its people—those who understand the true worth of their heritage and the responsibility to protect it. While betrayal may seem rewarding in the short term, it is the steadfast commitment to honor, unity, and respect for tradition that guarantees a lasting legacy. The throne of the Olu of Warri is not just a title to be exchanged, but a symbol of the strength, dignity, and spirit of the Itsekiri people. Let us stand united with pride and resolve to protect what is rightfully ours, ensuring that no fleeting wealth can diminish the eternal glory of our heritage.
