He further clarified that while it is true that NNPCL is being investigated over prior contracts tied to refinery rehabilitation projects, Dr. Ojulari was never responsible for those contracts since he was not yet in office when they were awarded or implemented. He made an appeal to Nigerians, urging them to support reform-minded public servants like Dr. Ojulari and allow them the breathing room necessary to fulfill their duties, rather than constantly bogging them down with politically driven attacks. God’s Word is remarkably precise when it comes to prophecy. The promise made to Abraham was not a general promise to many descendants but a specific promise concerning one seed. In Genesis 22:17-18, God said to Abraham, “…in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed….” Notice how God repeatedly used the singular form “seed” and not “seeds.” The Apostle Paul clarifies this in Galatians 3:16, stating that this singular “seed” refers to Christ, emphasizing the accuracy of God’s Word and the fulfilment of His promise: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Through Jesus Christ, the nations of the earth have indeed been blessed with salvation, healing, and eternal life. Furthermore, certain prophecies also reveal that the Messiah would be a descendant of David. Jeremiah 23:5 says, “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” This prophetic word speaks of a righteous King from the lineage of David who would reign and establish justice in the earth. Isaiah previously gave a similar prophecy with even more details when he prophesied by the Spirit, “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD…” (Isaiah 11:1-3). In Bauchi State, a man identified as Nasiru Gwallaga has been convicted for the arson of a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) patrol vehicle. The incident took place in Bara village, within Kirfi Local Government Area, back in 2023. According to the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Bauchi State, Istifanus Ibrahim, who revealed this information during a media briefing on Friday, the convicted individual was ordered to pay N150 million. This amount represents the total value of the patrol vehicle that was destroyed in the fire. Commander Ibrahim explained further that Nasiru Gwallaga, along with two co-defendants, received an additional sentence of one year in prison each, or in the alternative, a fine of N15,000. These penalties were handed down for the offenses of conspiring to obstruct officers, actively obstructing civil servants in the line of duty, and physically assaulting public officers carrying out their lawful assignments. The conviction and sentencing were delivered by Justice Safiya Doma of the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Fadama Mada, Bauchi State, on June 23, 2025. Moreover, Commander Ibrahim pointed out that Gwallaga was also convicted of inflicting bodily harm on FRSC officials. In addition, he was ordered to pay N170,000 to cover damages for a Samsung Galaxy phone belonging to the then Acting Unit Commander (UC) that was damaged during the incident. “All of the convicts were directed to pay an extra N50,000, which accounts for the legal expenses incurred by the nominal complainant in prosecuting the case,” the sector commander added. Justice Safiya Doma emphasized in the judgment that the convicts reserve the right to appeal the verdict at the High Court of Justice within a period of 30 days from the date the ruling was issued. Commander Ibrahim further stressed that this judgment should stand as a warning to individuals who believe they can take the law into their own hands. Prominent activist and human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has voiced his deep skepticism regarding the recently brokered peace deal between Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike. Adeyanju suggested that, despite the truce, Fubara might still face severe challenges at the hands of Wike going forward. Earlier, LMSINT MEDIA reported that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday night, convened a crucial meeting aimed at resolving the ongoing crisis in Rivers State. The President held discussions with the feuding parties — Governor Siminalayi Fubara, former Governor and current Minister Nyesom Wike, as well as the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Reports indicated that President Tinubu successfully intervened to end the political impasse and restore some form of stability between the parties. However, responding to these developments, Deji Adeyanju took to his verified Facebook page to share a strongly worded post warning Governor Fubara to remain cautious. According to Adeyanju, Wike’s nature is unpredictable, and the governor should not put his guard down or assume that peace will truly last. He wrote that no matter what agreement might have been reached during the reconciliation, Wike would ultimately find a way to make Fubara’s tenure extremely difficult. Describing Wike in harsh terms, Adeyanju asserted that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory is not a reasonable person and cannot be trusted to keep promises. In his blunt message, Adeyanju warned, “No matter the agreement you have with Wike, he will make your life miserable. Wike is an unreasonable man.” He further emphasized that Fubara’s future political stability could be in jeopardy, stating that the governor might not be able to sleep peacefully or govern effectively with Wike still holding influence. He predicted that the political climate by 2027 would be even more challenging, highlighting that even if Wike were to make solemn promises, they would be as worthless as, in his words, “the T in buffet.” Adeyanju’s caution comes amid widespread public debate over whether President Tinubu’s mediation would achieve any long-lasting peace in the volatile Rivers State political landscape. Many political observers have expressed similar doubts, arguing that power struggles in the state are deeply rooted and may not simply disappear overnight. As Rivers residents wait to see how this truce unfolds, Adeyanju’s warning reminds everyone that political alliances in Nigeria can be fragile, and yesterday’s friends might become tomorrow’s foes. Fubara, in particular, may need to navigate his relationship with Wike carefully to avoid further confrontations in the future.

Hebrews 10:5-7 tells us something really remarkable about the Lord Jesus. It says, “Wherefore whenhe cometh into the world, he saith… Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” He came to fulfil prophecies. It’s remarkable to note that many of the prophecies concerning Him were given over 500 years before He was born in Bethlehem. Despite the long span of time and the many different prophets through whom these prophetic words were given, the Lord Jesus alone fulfilled these prophecies. It’s impossible for one person to fulfil so many detailed and extraordinary prophecies unless He’s truly the One spoken of. For example, the prophecies regarding the Virgin Birth; Isaiah 7:14 declares, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” This prophecy was fulfilled as described in Matthew 1:22-23, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem: “Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, ‘Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.’” A prophecy of His place of Birth is found in Micah 5:2, and it says, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Again, we find the fulfilment of this prophecy in Matthew 2:1. It says, “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem.” This confirms that Jesus, the Messiah, was indeed born in Bethlehem, as prophesied by Micah, despite the town’s humble significance. But even more profound is the description of Him as One “whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” This clearly speaks of His divine nature—He existed before time began. Jesus was born exactly as the prophets foretold, in Bethlehem of Judah. No ordinary human being could be described as one “whose goings forth has been from everlasting.” These and other prophecies in Scripture affirm His deity, demonstrating that He is Himself God who took on human form.
